Rolly Polly

The boy was scared and in disbelief when he saw the familiar face of the brown-haired guard that turned out to be the king of the undead, Ame. The boy was about to say something but was interrupted by Ame, "I know kid, sorry for lying to you, but this is a quest from the higher up"

The 4 creatures behind the king laughed and talked to each other.

"Look at that boy's look" the skeleton wrapped in a robe and a wand could be seen on his hand said to the others.

"He is in disbelief it seems" A woman with cold expression and greenish hair, with feet off the ground said.

"Kikikiki, I like to see that expression" A man with eyes covered with a piece of cloth, skinny body and four arms, with each holding weapons, a sword, mace, spear and a magic wand said.

"…" A man with a small notebook on his hand, black hair stayed silent anything.

Abel gulped his saliva and closed his eyes when he opened it, he said to Ame, "Ame… that's your name right? I don't know why you decided to help me when I was outside the wall… I don't know how you managed to infiltrate the town. But what I'm sure… today will be your last day. This is for the people in the town!"

He fixed his stance and directed his sword toward Ame's throat and with a furrowed eyebrow and fighting spirit similar to that of a flame; he charged. Every step, every second that passed while he was charging, it all counted and when he felt he was close enough, he thrust his sword.

He felt pain, unbearable pain on his stomach. The boy looked down and saw the end of a spear on his body. He raised his head and saw the sword that almost reached Ame's throat. Abel coughed a small amount of blood and dropped on his knees.

"Damn it!" He cursed.

[Entering another dimension]

"Why are you scared, boy?" A heavy voice could be heard in front of the boy that is staring at the now pure black ground. He raised his head and saw a man sitting on what it seems to be a throne with a well-decorated spear in his hand and a well-decorated shield on the other hand.

"I wish I was a little stronger… I came here because of my friend's last wish but I didn't expect to die on the hand of the undead" He dropped his head right after he answered the man's question. Suddenly, he heard the man giggled.

"Haha… well, since you are doing good deeds to my land and people. I will teach you one technique I learned from someone. With this technique, the undead will seem like nothing!" Abel raised his head once again, his eyes widened and he was interested in the technique.

"The name of this technique is… don't laugh, the name is… the rolly polly!" The man got up from his throne, placed his spear and shield on the throne. He slowly approached the boy and placed his hand on the boy's head.

Right after that, he heard the same woman scream and turned his head to the entrance of the room. The same undead skeletons like before were pouring inside the room. But now, since he experienced it once, he knew what to do.

And without a single sweat forming on his face, he cast the fireball and all the skeletons crumbled in an instant like before. Then the king of undead of the north, Ame and the four creatures walking closely behind the king entered the room.

It was a little weird when the system's notification didn't show up this time, 'Eh? The system didn't give a warning? The [Danger ahead] one, is it broken? …. Ooooh! This Rolly Polly must be very good then!"

Didn't want to waste any time like before. The boy charged at Ame with full speed and sword pointing at his throat. The system suddenly gave him a notification that shocked him this time.

The boy rolled on the ground without him even noticing and when he saw where he was standing before; he saw the same spear that impaled him and one of the creatures that have his hand on the spear. He was amazed and shocked at the same time, then he suddenly said, "Rolly Polly!"

Now, he leapt toward the enemies similar to a man jumping off a building; he rolled on the ground multiple times as the enemies watched him in confusion. The civilians and warriors watching from the distance were in the same confusion as well.

But he continued rolling and rolling on the ground without even taking a break. But as seconds passed, he was becoming faster and faster. Now the king and the 4 creatures just stood there without bothering to even look at him.

Thrust

The king of undead himself, Ame, was stabbed right in the heart by the boy's sword from behind. He slowly fell to his knee and then to the ground. The boy just smiled when he saw this and shouted, "Rolly Polly!" without even glancing at the notification he got.
