Defeating PKers and visiting auction house

"Magic warrior? That job must be incredible! You are so lucky, sir!" The woman that is his assistant, Diana said to him with her widen eyes and glowing at the same time. The other's expression was no different from her, they were surprised when they heard the boy's occupation.

"From the way you guys looking at me like that, this job must be very rare, no?" They nodded in response. The boy just sighed and then smiled, then he said to them.

"Well, why don't we go to the field and I'll teach you some tricks that may help? Especially for the five of you," They ended up on the now green, clean field where everybody sat on the grass, gathering around the boy.

He began explaining about it all, from the theory to the practice, showing them some small scale magic that amazed them even further. It didn't take long for the 5 men to understand magic and cast small scale magic.

While they were practising, Abel went on a break and as he was sitting on the green grass, Diana approached him and sat beside him, "Sir, I'm curious about your adventure while we were not here, did you do something amazing like always?"

He chuckled and smiled before answering, "I didn't do something amazing, just helped some people there and there while improving my skill. It was… kind of fun, but I guess playing with real people instead of NPCs are better…"

Suddenly, he heard the stomping sound of a group of people, the voice of one of them could be heard, "Well, well, well… What do we have here? Two players on a fun little date, how funny!"

The boy turned around and saw a group of people walking toward the two of them while giggling and talking to each other. The boy suddenly thought to himself when he saw those faces, 'Why do I have their faces are familiar…'

He faced Diana and asked, "Hey Diana, is there any update on the PKers?"

She placed her index finger on her cheek and was silent for a few moments before saying, "Yes, there is! A group of people were complaining about their name being exposed and It's unreal on an adventure. So the developers removed it and now we don't have any way to differentiate PK… wait what"

The boy once again rolled on his own on the ground, and when he got himself up, he caught a glimpse on what was about to hit him. He saw a sword on the ground. Diana was freaking out when he saw it while the PKer was grinning, "You got some pretty good skill, boy! But sadly, 1 versus 8 won't be advantageous for you!"

Stomp stomp

In a matter of seconds, the five men that were training gathered behind Abel with their fighting stance. Diana got herself up and ran toward the boy and when she reached the safety, Abel said, "Well, player killer, I don't know but 7 against 8 is good enough"

The PKer chuckled when he saw it and was about to say something, but Abel suddenly shouted, "Cast fireball now!"

And a series of fireballs were heading toward the one PKer and he was burnt to a crisp. The other seven PKers cursed and charged straight toward Abel and his ground.

Not surprised to say, when all seven people knew how to cast magic even as simple as a fireball, they were almost unbeatable by some low-level players. Blue lights covered the now burnt corpse of the PKers and they disappeared right after that, but their weapons didn't.

Ryan, Raymond, Marcus, Conrad and Franklin ran straight toward the weapons and began picking them up meanwhile Abel and Diana were left behind. They both chuckled when the two of them saw this, but it was soon replaced with the awkwardness between them.

Suddenly, the girl said, "Sir… your equipment, aren't they too outdated? For a player as powerful as you… your equipment are similar to those of a newbie"

He was surprised when she said this; he opened the inventory tab and looked at the equipment he has been using. The boy was silent for a few seconds before he turned to the girl and said, "I admit that my equipment isn't that good, the design is like a low-rank soldier at medieval time… Should I buy some new equipment in the city?"

She looked at him and nodded almost instantly, "Let's go to the marketplace now! We can even find some wonderful stuff on the auction house! I'll tell the others as well!"

And just like that, a few minutes later, the group found themselves at the entrance of the busy auction house. Diana suddenly ran forward and was greeted by a handsome man with white long hair.

[Auction house]

But not long after that, Abel and the group, as well as the man with white hair, found themselves sitting on the long couches, inside a pretty big and decorative room. The man with the white hair offered Abel a handshake while introducing himself, "Welcome to the auction house, I'm the part of the alpha developer team, Ubin, may I inquire who you are?"

Abel took the hand and shook it while introducing himself, "I'm the one that developed this kind of VR and the president of the company, Abelard… Ah, I'm just joking, I'm a friend of Diana, nice to meet you"

Ubin looked at him for a few seconds in silence before he slightly rotated his head toward Diana, only to see the girl giving him a slight nod. Then he suddenly released his hand, stood up from his couch and bowed, "I'm sorry sir for not recognizing you"

Abel just giggled, "No problem Ubin, I'm not here to brag about my title, anyway. Now, where are the good stuff?"

The man snapped his finger and right after that, the door of the room opened and people filled the room in an instant with carts.
