An Odd Turn of Events

Mitzuki looked up and his racing heart felt as if it was about to burst out of his chest. It was BamBam.

"BamBam? BB? BB! NO! NO NO NO NO! STAY AWAY FROM ME! YOU'LL TAKE ME BACK! DON'T TAKE ME BACK! PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME BACK THERE - I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK! - DON'T DON'T DON'T - STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!" He screamed, his arms out to stop the pink haired male getting any closer.

The pink haired male came closer not knowing his presence was going to affect the brunette's anxiety levels or how much worse it would get but he felt he needed to show Eijirou that his trust in him wasn't misplaced. Making his way over he tried to keep eye contact with Mitzuki and as he crouched down next to the other male, he wrapped his arms securely around his shoulders.

"Sshh, I'm not going to hurt you. Mitzuki you need to breathe for me okay? I'm not going to take you anywhere, I'm not going to send you away. I need you to try and calm down so just breathe with me okay? Inhale *breathes in* and exhale *breathes out* Yeah you got it, okay, let's go again. Come one, one breath in, that's good baby, and one breath out. I'm not going to send you back baby, I promise I won't send you back, just breathe for me now though okay? Match my breathing." BamBam kept his voice low and steady, repeating the breathing instructions he was getting Mitzuki to follow.

"Yeah, that's it, just like that, breathe with me baby, just breathe, in and out." Mitzuki's breathing slowed down a little and he could catch his breath for a moment, then he realised who was holding him (so carefully) and he began to cry, the tears burning his blue eyes and sobs burning his already aching throat - letting out all the pain of the past that was catching up with him all today.

Everything he had endured during his captivity with... Him.

Mitzuki's arms wrapped around the waist of the pink haired male holding him and as the painful sobs wracked his slender frame he grabbed onto the back of his shirt as if it was his only lifeline, as if the world would fall apart or disappear if he let go. Mitzuki felt BamBam's hands continue to rub comforting circles on his back remaining silent for now that his panic attack had receded and letting him cry it all out.

After the longest few hours of his life BamBam looked down to see that the light-brunette had fallen asleep in his arms. Mitzuki's eyes were puffy and swollen, tear stains on his face and a pout on his lips. Gently brushing a thumb over a tear that slipped from the sleeping male's eyes, BamBam felt his heart break all over again.

"What did he do to you that left you like this 'Zuuki? What did I do? I left to make it better for you." he whispered to himself, not noticing the gentle flutter of closed eyes but he felt the tightening of arms around him and responded in kind by holding the brunette closer to him.

"Fuck. What did I do? What did he do to you? Why did I leave you? I should have taken you with me." Adjusting his position to sit Mitzuki properly on his lap he leaned against the wall, he let his head fall back and his eyes close with the emotional hurricane he'd just been tossed into.

* * * * * * *

Mitzuki was the first to stir. He felt a comforting warmth around him and snuggled further into it, pressing his ear against the firm surface and listening to the steady heartbeat... Wait - heartbeat? His bed didn't have a heartbeat, at least, he was pretty sure it didn't.

Mitzuki stilled his body, opening his eyes he tensed as they fell on his diary and he remembered the events that had led to him having a panic attack. BamBam! He felt a tightening of arms around his waist and his eyes snapped up to meet pale ice blue eyes. He'd been found. Mitzuki realised the predicament he was in and that if it was BB then he'd have no choice but to do what BB wanted... but... what was BamBam saying before he'd fully lost consciousness?

'Why did I leave you? I should have taken you with me.' What did he mean by that?

"How long was I out this time?" Mitzuki asked in a shaking voice, trying to pretend as if it was Eiji that he was talking to instead of the male he'd conjured from his nightmares, attempting to laugh it off while he pried himself out of the pink haired males embrace. The man in question stared at him carefully, his emotions masked behind a beautiful resting bitch face,

"Three hours." He reluctantly let the brunette out of his arms and stood with him, running a hand through his hair,

"Mitzuki, I--"

"You found me. Will you take me back?" Mitzuki interrupted, the shake still evident in his voice. BamBam stared at the brunette as if he'd just suggested they attend the Mardi Gras wearing nothing but feathers and each other.

"Where? I... Mitzuki..." the pinkette whispered brokenly before wrapping the younger in a hug that surprised both of them, his broad shouldered frame shaking as he began to cry.

"Back to Yang. Are you gonna take me back to him? What...?" The brunette asked, thoroughly confused at the turn of events.

"I'm so sorry Mitzuki, I'm so sorry I shouldn't have ever left, I'm sorry." the pinkette clutched him closer and sobbed into his shoulder.
