Wait!

Pausing for a moment but not bothering to turn around, he said something that struck Kim Mitzuki in the heart. In a husky, choked voice he whispered,

"Just so you know, you're one of the lucky ones. You survived that bastard. I'm happy for you and I... I'm sorry for everything. I won't bother you anymore, I'll see myself out. See ya 'round Kim."

BamBam walked out the door and closed it quietly behind him, leaving Mitzuki with the roaring silence of his own thoughts.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Mitzuki fell to his knees, the tears flowing earlier that had dried up with his burst of anger, the confusion and million thoughts rushing through his head from what BamBam had told him. Did BamBam really just leave? Without answering me? Is he not going to explain anything? The brunette didn't know what to think or feel or do.

'Didn't you hear me? I'm in love with you. I left to protect you. I fell in love and never stopped falling 'Zuuki.' BamBam's words bounced around the room and a million other thoughts echoed in his mind. Mitzuki smacked his forehead harshly and disregarding that he was only wearing slippers on his feet, he yanked open his bedroom door and jumped down the stairs taking them two at a time, 'I have to catch him.' As the light brunette got to the bottom he saw the pinkette salute Eijirou and walk out the door.

"BamBam. BamBam! BB, wait up you fucker!" Mitzuki shouted as he blew past his co-worker with a fleeting but apologetic look in his direction.

BamBam had quickly walked about half a block away from the Wàng Jī Lǚdiàn. Not that he wanted to leave the place particularly but more so he wanted to leave behind the feeling of a tonne of concrete crushing his chest and he was more trying to escape from the breathlessness he was experiencing.

"BamBam!" A voice called, stopping him where he was, hoping it was a real voice and not just his imagination, he waited and the voice didn't call again. 'Stupid! I'm stupid!' the pink haired male thought, 'Now I'm imagining things in the middle of the day - Mitzuki wouldn't come after me.' He started to move again, drifting to the edge of the sidewalk... Then a hot body slammed into his back knocking him off balance and almost making him fall, a pair of arms wrapped around his mid-section tightly as if they didn't want him to move.

"BamBam - I'm sorry. Please, I'm sorry... C-come back... Talk to m-me, please?" A small voice asked of him. BamBam took a deep breath and sighed.

"Will you listen to me, or yell at me?" He replied quietly.

"I-I'm sorry, I-" the voice behind him let out a breathy laugh,

"hah, I guess it's time for me to apologise now. I'll listen. Just... Can we talk? Please? I need to know." Gently prying the hands wrapped around him, BamBam turned around and placed his arms around the younger's shoulders bringing him in close for a hug. He sighed again trying to expel the butterflies as he exhaled.

"Yeah. Yeah I'll come. Do you want to go to a café near here or back to Wàng Jī?" Releasing the younger male BB held him at arms length,

"You've really grown since I saw you last. Damn, you're as tall as me." A small smile tugged at Mitzuki's lips,

"I'm taller now," Suddenly remembering he didn't have his wallet or mobile with him he looked down sheepishly (also realized he was wearing his house slippers) while a faint tinge of pink touched his cheeks as Mitzuki rubbed the nape of his neck with a hand,

"Uh, I'm not dressed properly, is it okay if we go back to the Lǚdiàn? I'll ask Eiji to make something to take to my room... if you want? Uhmm, are you okay coming to my place?" The pink tinge spread over more of his cheeks and he felt the heat that came with the blush as he shuffled nervously on the footpath. Mitzuki thought BamBam's lips curved into a pretty smile, slightly dazzling him.

"I was just there or did you forget?" The pinkette's hands itched to ruffle the now brown hair but he forced himself to shove them in his jacket pockets.

"Yeah. I'm alright to go back to yours... Is it okay if we just sit somewhere quiet downstairs or something? I don't want to make you uncomfortable by going to your room." Mitzuki nodded with a look of relief flickering in his eyes that BamBam noticed and was glad he was still able to read the younger's body language accurately (this time at least) but it surprised him when the younger looped an arm through his and walked them both back to the Inn.

-- Mini time rewind to when Kim Mitzuki ran out wearing slippers --

Jinhong Eijirou's P.O.V.

"BamBam. BamBam! BB, wait up you fucker!" Hearing the yell my head snapped toward the the voice to see Kim Mitzuki as he rushed down the stairs two at a time and chased after my friend who'd just left. How did Mitzu know BamBam?

"What the fuck?" I whispered as the formerly shy brunette bolted past me at the Bar and skidded out the door. Knowing this would probably end up in disaster, I slid my mobile out of my back pocket and made a phone call. The phone rung a few times before the Boss picked up.

(KEY: Eijirou = Eiji . ? = Boss)

Boss: "Eijirou. What can I do for you?"

Eiji: "Hey Boss. It's about Kim, we might have a problem."

Boss: "What's the problem and which Kim? Is it Mitzuki?"

Eiji: "Yeah, that Kim. You know our regular BamBam? Kaard BamBam? He told me he came from Qīpiàn City. Boss, I think he knows Kim. I heard Kim having a panic attack so I sent Kaard up to help him because I couldn't leave the Bar since Kirishima Katsuki was about to finish and I know with Kim's panic attack would have me out for at least an hour. When Kaard came back down it was like he couldn't get out of here fast enough, he looked real upset. Couple minutes later, Kim flew down the stairs in his slippers, called Kaard by his first name like he knew him and ran out after him."

Boss: "Huh. Ran after him? Keep an eye on them for now and report back."

Eiji: "Okay. Boss, do you want me to interfere?"

Boss: "Not unless you have to. You know what to watch for."

Eiji: "Sure. I'll keep you in the loop."

Boss: "Do that. Now get back to work."

Eiji: "No worries. I'll be in touch."

**call ended dial tone beeps in Eijirou's ear**

'Shit. What kind of mess are you getting me into Kim?' Turning off the screen I put my mobile back into my pocket, I blew out the stale breath of air I didn't know I was holding. Fuck it. 'I wonder how they know each other? Mitzuki hasn't told me much about what happened from before he came to Lotus Lakes or why he won't wear shorts or short sleeve shirts--' My rambling thoughts were interrupted by the person dominating my thoughts walking through the door arm in arm with BamBam.

"What the fuck?" I repeated, this time loud enough for the duo to hear me. Kim Mitzuki looked confused at my words, to which I responded by pointedly looking at their linked arms and raised my eyebrows, the brunette following my gaze before quickly unlinking their arms.

"So," I started.

"Can we get a couple of Vienna Chocolates with scones?" Interrupted BamBam, without words we had a silent conversation.

(E) 'What's going on Bro?'

(B) 'I'll tell you later, when he's not around.'

(E) 'Swear?'

(B) 'As much as I can.'

(E) 'What do you mean?'

(B) 'It's complicated.'

(E) 'Yeah yeah. Sure it is.'

(B) 'It is. I'll explain later.'

(E) 'Yeah yeah.' I replied to his verbal question,

"No problems. Where are you having it today, down here or to taking it up?" I was really hoping they'd stay down here. BamBam replied for them both,

"Down here. Where's the quietest area right now?"

I pointed to one of our corner booths that you could pull the sheer curtains over the 'windows' for more privacy.

"Thanks man," BamBam smiled slightly.

"Yeah, yeah, bro. Heard it all before. You better pay up. We good for tonight or you want a rain-check?" I got a shrug in response, plastering a large grin on my face that I didn't really feel and I replied cheerfully anyway,

"Rain-check it is then! Head over and I'll bring your drinks and scones over shortly." The pinkette sent me a relieved smile. 'What's that for? Guess I gotta wait and find out now.' I began to make their late-afternoon tea as I watched them make their way to the booth I indicated and pull the curtains closed slightly.
