The Video

Ava stood there in Oliver's arms, her chest pressing against Oliver's as he held on to her waist tightly. Their intimate moment unveiled another memory in Ava's mind of their night together. She was lost in thoughts when Oliver leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on her neck. Ava shivered as electricity passed through her body and blood rushed to her face making it look like a tomato, she pushed Oliver and said through gritted teeth, "Mr. Knight behave yourself!"

Oliver laughed at her reaction, she looked cute when her face was so flushed. Ava was right, that night, indeed she was drugged, so when he took her to the hotel room, she took the initiative and kissed him first but now he could see the woman was actually shy. Oliver wanted to tease her so he said in a low husky voice, "What! You don't like it now, as far as I remember you were very eager for my kisses that night. In fact, it was you who took the initiative to kiss me and throw me on the bed, did you forget that?"

Ava was shocked to hear him, she said angrily, "Mr. Knight, stop making up stories, you are a grown man how could I throw you on a bed? You take me as a fool?"

"Oh Miss Green, I am not making up stories. It's true it was you who hugged me, kissed me then pushed me onto the bed before you got on top of me. I have evidence do you want to see it?" Oliver gently pinched Ava's pink cheeks. He couldn't resist it, riling her up was really fun.

"What do you mean, you have evidence?" Ava asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"A Video!" Oliver smirked and took out his phone. He went through his secret folder and opened the video before showing it to Ava. "See for yourself, how you seduced and took advantage of me while I lied there like a helpless man." Oliver could hardly hold back his laughter anymore, he was enjoying it too much.

Ava watched the video with wide eyes as her face kept changing color, from pink to red then completely white. She shouted out "Mr. Knight, how could you make such videos? And what do you mean you lied there as a helpless man? Aren't you a man? Couldn't you see I was drugged, you could have taken me to the hospital like a gentleman, why didn't you?"

"A gentleman? Miss Green, you seem to not know anything about me. I am no gentleman but I am indeed a man and when a woman throws herself to me how can you expect me to say no to her?" Oliver said playfully with an evil smile.

Ava was furious what a cunning man. He took advantage of her situation and now putting the whole blame on her, he was right, he was no gentleman! "Mr. Knight, please delete the video right now. If it gets out it won't be good for your reputation."

Oliver smiled again and said mockingly, "My reputation? Is that so, Miss Green? You are so kind to think about my reputation but .. I'm sorry to disappoint you, you probably didn't see the video properly because I am nowhere in that video however Miss Green, you looked very charming the way she wriggled your hip on the bed!"

Ava was mortified and angry by the humiliation, but what could she do the man was really evil. She took a few breaths to calm herself down and said, "What exactly are you planning to do with that video Mr. Knight? Are you planning to blackmail me to be with you? I think that's a cheap move even for someone like you, don't you think?"

Oliver laughed again and said, "You are right, it is a cheap move, so no, I don't plan to blackmail you with it. I only took it so you could not put the blame on me for that night. After all, as you know I am a renowned figure, and women these days like to pull this kind of trick a lot for the money." It was a fact also an insult.

Ava was completely infuriated by Oliver's words. Did he really think she would come to him and blackmail him with what happened? Ava really wanted to beat the man up to a pulp but she kept her thoughts to herself, and said in a calm voice, "Well then you should be relieved because I never blamed you for what happened. I am a grown woman and I know how to take responsibility for my action. As I said earlier I didn't even know it was you until I came here today, even if I knew I wouldn't have come to you, Mr. Knight! I think were done here so I will leave you to your important work." Ava didn't like the idea of keeping the loose end but she couldn't do anything about it. She understood Oliver's concern for keeping the video as leverage, she just hoped he wouldn't reveal it to anyone, or else she wouldn't have any other choice but to commit suicide. This was one of the reasons Ava kept all her anger inside her even though she was furious, she didn't want to provoke him and make an enemy. She just wanted to forget what happened and put all of it behind her.

Oliver didn't like the way Ava dismissed everything so calmly, it was an insult to him. He narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Miss Green, are you sure you are not taking my offer? Life is very unpredictable, you don't know what happens next second in your life. I hope you know your every action has consequences, and if you go out of that door today without taking my offer then you will have consequences to face."

"Mr. Knight, are you threatening me?" Ava asked a bit worried, she didn't want to anger a powerful man but she wouldn't give in to him either.

"Not at all Miss green, I am just stating a point, because I am pretty certain soon you will come back and beg me for help but next time things will not be as easy as this time. So I hope you would be prepared."

Ava smiled brightly and said, "We will see, Mr. Knight." Ava didn't understand the depth of Oliver's words she just thought he was being arrogant because she rejected him. The only problem she had at that moment was related to their business and she was confident they will get through it over time, and if not she still had a job at the hospital so they will be fine. To her, nothing was worth becoming a man's mistress.

Only if she knew how right Oliver was and how her life was about to turn upside down soon.

Ava turned and walked toward the door but before she left, she suddenly remembered something. She opened her handbag and took out 500 dollars bill from inside then she turn and said, "Mr. Knight, you may be used to paying for sex but I am not that kind of woman so please keep your money. Have a good day!" Ava put the money on the coffee table and left without turning back.
