Ava didn't say anything, but spread out her hands and made a happy expression. She expected Oliver's answer so she was not really upset when he didn't compliment her cooking.
"Tomorrow, someone will come who will take care of you from now on," Oliver said wiping his mouth with a paper towel gracefully.
"Take care of me, why? I can do it myself." Ava said surprised, wondering why did Oliver suddenly decide to have a housekeeper, to look after her.
"I'm going on a business trip to Australia, for a week," Oliver said in a light tone.
Oh! Ava was a little moved thinking it was really thoughtful of him to consider that she would be all alone here.
A bright smile showed up on her face when she said, "You really didn't have to do that, I can take care of myself."
However, she was thinking Oliver was going on a business trip and for a week, that's great news! Really great! She couldn't contain her inner excitement. There will be no one to boss around her for the whole week and after that, there will be only 3 weeks left for their arrangement to end. Thinking about it she felt really happy.
Looking at Ava's excited expression Oliver suddenly leaned back in the chair, stretched out his left hand, and said with a faint smile. "Come here." He knew what was on her mind but he wouldn't crush her hope just yet.
Ava walked slowly toward Oliver thinking what does he want now but before she could reach him, Oliver pulled Ava into his arms with the power of thunder and made her sit on his lap. Ava's heart started to race wildly, each close contact with Oliver made her feel excited these days. The distance between the two was a few centimeters.
"Woman, you do not need to work so hard." Oliver's eyes were heavy on his calm face.
"Do you have a split personality?" Ava hesitated for a while before asking him directly.
Oliver was sometimes so cold to her it felt like he hated her and sometimes he was so gentle which made her confused, she could not figure out why he acted like that. She wished she could understand what was going on inside his head. It was really difficult for her to keep up with his hot and cold character.
"Well, you are my woman so I should be nice to you, shouldn't I?" Oliver smiled softly. He wouldn't tell her what she wanted to know.
"You..." Ava didn't know what to say. This man really has a mental problem she cursed inside.
"Tonight, you will sleep with me." Oliver suddenly stood up with a smile on his lips, he took Ava in his arm and slightly frowned. This woman was so light.
"What! Why?" looking at his eyes, Ava's face suddenly turned red.
Oliver walked toward the bedroom step by step with her in his arms. "You didn't think we would sleep in the separate beds while we were living together, did you?"
Ava froze. Yes, of course! How could she think a pervert like him would let her.
"As my woman, you should be smart as well, you need to take initiative from time to time," Oliver said dominatingly.
Hearing him, Ava wanted to die in embarrassment, how could she take the initiative she was not that kind of person. As a person, Ava was really fierce when it comes to dealing with life or her job but when it was about sex she was really very shy, she couldn't even look at him how could she do stuff to him?
A soft touch came from behind, Ava realized he had put her on the bed. He started to kiss her, every time his kisses become more and more ferocious as if he wanted to punish her for some unknown reason. Ava knew that tonight she made him angry by getting drunk and coming home late. So she decided to not protest and endure his torture. Not that her protest works on him anyway.
"By the way, the week I'm away will not be included in our agreement," Oliver said in a kind reminder then his full warm lips covered her lips gently nibbling on them.
Ava stiffened, what! It doesn't even count. It seemed she was too happy too early.
"While you are away can I go home for a few days?" Ava asked softly with a hesitant tone between the kisses.
Oliver did not answer her question. He was more focused on the action, his hands move up to her chest, Ava trembled but did not resist. She let Oliver swim on her. Ava already knew Oliver's nature, if she resisted him that will only make him aggressive, but she didn't know if she wanted to resist him anymore, she clearly hated this man for forcing her to move in with him and taking control over her life but when he loved her like that she couldn't stop but to want more and more.
That night, it was another beautiful and sleepless night.
Ava didn't know when she fell asleep, she only remembered that she was warm and satisfied. Ava woke up hearing the pleasant sound of the rain, she was the only one in the big room, Oliver had already left. Ava didn't like such gloomy mornings. She moved her body, but the pain in her lower body reminded her of Oliver's gentle but domineering lovemaking.
The alarm rang and Ava picked up her mobile phone to turn it off. Last night, she had a fight with Oliver and he asked her to resign. Although he didn't mention it later but Ava felt uncomfortable in her heart. She was putting back the mobile phone, suddenly saw a note on the bedside table, she gently picked up the note, a few short words were written on it, the writing was neat and beautiful like calligraphy.
'You are not allowed to drink outside. You are allowed to go home this week.'
Seeing the last sentence Ava was so overjoyed she sat up on the bed as if she had just been resurrected, it's so good that she could go home. Oliver still had some conscience left, looks like he was not as cold-blooded as everyone thought!
When she went downstairs, Ava saw the table was full of rich breakfast. She was stunned.
"Miss Green, you are up." The housekeeper came out of the kitchen smiling kindly.
Ava let down her guard, smiled, and said, "Are you the new housekeeper?" She remembered Oliver said last night that someone will come to look after her from today.
"Yes Miss Green, you can call me Mrs. Lee. I will take care of you from now on." Mrs. Lee said with a smile.
Ava thought Mrs. Lee looked so simple and kind, for some reason she had a feeling that they will get along well. She liked Mrs. Lee at the first sight.
"Mrs. Lee, don't be so polite. Just call me Ava." Ava didn't like to be called Miss Green, it felt very formal.
"Miss Green, I don't dare please don't embarrass me." Mrs. Lee shook her head.
"Well, Mrs. Lee, you don't need to be so rigid around me, I am not such a difficult person so you can relax". Ava said sitting on the dining table with a playful but gentle smile.
