Ava sat by the bed looking at Sarah's pale face, she felt a heartache.
"Ava, I have something to tell you." Sam looked at Sarah who was lying on the bed lifeless and said quietly. On the way to the hospital, he didn't have time to tell Ava why Sarah fainted.
"Ok." Ava's voice was a little tired.
520 Haibin road.
Oliver's face was as dark as night. It was six twenty and Ava still hasn't arrived home. Even if there was a traffic jam, it would not take that long. It only takes ten minutes from the hospital to get home.
"Mr. Knight, are you hungry, do you want me to cook something for you." Mrs. Lee asked quietly. She was really afraid looking at Oliver's ferocious face.
"No." Oliver refused coldly without even thinking about it. Ava was supposed to cook for him tonight.
Mrs. Lee silently left the living room, thinking tonight they would have another fight, Miss Green would have to suffer again. She sighed in her heart.
It was seven-thirty, Ava still hasn't come back and didn't even bother to make a phone call to inform him, where she was and why she was late again. Oliver couldn't wait for her anymore, he turned on the tracker and checked her location, which showed she was still at the hospital. He suddenly wondered if the woman was still at any surgery. 'Ava! You better have a reasonable explanation for today' Oliver's eyes became cold and his face become hard.
Beijing Tiantan Hospital
Sam explained the whole incident and the reason for Sarah's overstress that caused her to faint. Ava was ferocious, she wanted to find the culprits and punish them.
"Sam, is there any way to find out who was behind it?" Ava was really angry, how dare someone hurt Sarah like this.
"I asked one of my friends for help he said he already talked to the owner of the café but as it was a public place open for all, many customers came and used the internet, it was nearly impossible to find out who did it." Sam shook his head helplessly and said in a distressed tone.
"Sarah was such a lovely girl, who could be so mean to her to do such things?" Ava's suddenly felt bad for her cousin, this was an issue that was out of her control, she could be there for Sarah but eventually, Sarah would have to be the one to face it. It's a pity that a good child like her had to bear the burden of her parent's actions.
"I know! Whoever did this planned it well, they posted it in the evening when most of the students normally check the news on their phones or tabs, therefore the news exploded immediately and by morning everyone already knew about it, the authority didn't even get a chance to intervene. This time it was really out of control." Sam said holding his forehead.
"Do you think it could be the girl Sarah had a fight with last time?" Ava somehow had a feeling those girls had something to do with it, especially the girl called Tracy.
"I guess so, but there's no evidence," Sam said feeling helpless.
"Well, I see." Ava didn't say anything else but made up her mind to fix it for Sarah and she knew who could help her.
Yes, it's Oliver!
'Wait, what time is it now?' Ava suddenly panicked, she was supposed to go home early and make dinner for Oliver. In all this chaos she even forgot to call him and inform him that she wouldn't be able to make it.
Ava checked the time it was seven. She felt stressed, that man will kill her today.
Seeing Ava's face turned pale Sam asked worriedly "Ava! What's the matter? You ok?"
"Yes! I am fine." Ava smiled awkwardly and shook her head.
At the same time, they heard Sarah's weak voice coming from the ward. Sarah's pale face was still lifeless. She opened her eyes and looked around. The familiar smell of disinfectant came into her nose. She tried to sit up and accidentally moved the needle of the infusion.
Ava came in and saw it, she rushed towards her and pulled the needle out from her hand. Sarah's hand got slightly swollen, Ava looked at it carefully presses it with the back of her hand.
"Ava, why am I in the hospital?" Sarah asked in a confused tone.
"You fainted. Sam brought you to the hospital."
"Oh! Thank you, Mr. Evan."
"No problem Sarah."
"Sarah, I'll take you home tonight." Ava thought Sarah should not go back to school until the issue was resolved.
"No, sis, I'm fine now, I'll go back to the dorm besides I don't want to make uncle and aunty worry about me." Sarah sat up on the bed.
"Silly child, but I'll be worried about you. You don't have to carry the burden yourself, you know!" Ava said with a heartache. She knew Sarah was even more stubborn than her, if she said she wouldn't go home then she wouldn't.
"Sis, don't worry. I am not that weak and believe me I'm really OK. I don't want to miss my classes. If I feel sick or tired, I'll inform you..." Sarah said with a smile. She had already put on her shoes during the conversation, determined to leave.
"Then let's have dinner together." Ava sighed, she understood her, in fact, if it was Ava she would do the same thing, she would face it rather than hiding from it.
"Ok." Sarah smiled and nodded.
Three people found a small restaurant nearby the hospital and had dinner together. After dinner, Sam took Sarah back to the school dorm. Ava came back to the hospital, she was exhausted. She wrapped up her things and got out of her office to go home but suddenly froze near the stairway seeing a familiar person.
Oliver!
Shit! Ava's heart missed a beat seeing him.
Ava and Oliver were standing on the empty stairway staring at each other. Oliver's eyes were full of anger, he didn't say a word. Ava felt like his eyes will suck out her soul at any point. She was really scared looking at those deadly eyes. She messed up again, she should have informed him earlier.
They stood there for a while then Ava nervously took a step towards him intend to explain, but Oliver turned and left. Looking at him leaving like that Ava was stunned for a second then she quickly ran after him.
