Liam dragged Ava all the way to the underground parking, next to his black Maserati, and opened the passenger door for Ava to get in.
Ava's face was black as night and she didn't speak until he opened the door for her.
"Mr. Jones, what do you want from me?" Ava asked annoyed.
"You promised to have dinner with me. Have you forgotten?" Liam asked playfully.
Ava was really angry her face become red, yes, she promised him but that didn't mean he could drag her out of the mall and force her to have dinner. Then again It's probably better to get it over with. Maybe after that, he would stop bothering her.
"All right, let's do it then," Ava said looking at Liam but she was very cautious, she did not want to fall into Liam's trap.
Liam was surprised that Ava agreed so easily and didn't start an argument over this he smiled and urged her to get inside before she could change her mind.
Ava got in without any hesitation, although she still doubted his motives but as Liam knew about her and Oliver's relationship, Ava was confident that Liam wouldn't try anything with her.
After Liam got into the driver's seat, Ava suddenly felt very uncomfortable because of the small space between them. She didn't like to be in any close contact with other men except for Oliver. At that thought, she wanted to laugh again at herself. What was Oliver doing right now? He was probably still with Kiara. The way they were so cozy at the airport today, showed that they loved each other very much. Ava started to feel restless thinking about Oliver and Kiara and unconsciously keep biting her lower lip.
Liam studied psychology for three years in college, so he was very good at analyzing people. He understood Ava's restlessness was related to the interview of Oliver and Kiara that she saw on the TV a while ago.
"So what are you going to do about the woman who was with Oliver today?" Liam glanced at Ava sideways and said with a faint smile on his lips.
"What can I do, he can be with whoever he wanted, it's none of my business." Ava's voice was full of grievance. She was absent-minded so without realizing she admitted her relationship with Oliver.
"Finally she admitted it." Liam chuckled.
Ava was stunned. What? Shit! She fell into his trap. How could she admit that to him? This man was really cunning. Ava scolded him in her heart and decided to focus on his questions from now on.
Ava composed herself and said coldly, "Admit what? What is there to admit? Mr. Knight and me are not in any kind of relationship so he is free to date anyone."
Liam shook his head helplessly, she was really stubborn. He continued to drive calmly: "I know why you don't want to admit your relationship with him. I also know that you are the woman he is raising, but not the only one. As a proud woman, you find this relationship disrespectful and want to hide it from everyone."
Liam was enjoying analyzing Ava's mind, he thought all those years of lessons at college was paid off today. In fact, at the beginning of his studies, he didn't want to take psychology as a compulsory subject, but his father insisted that psychology would be helpful for him to understand the people around him and it will certainly help them with their plan to take over the Knight International. So even reluctant he still signed up for the course. However, after a few lessons, Liam found it very interesting and started to enjoy it. His father was right, it did help him in some critical moments.
Ava stared at him speechlessly, how did this man saw through her mind? Was she that easy to read? Ava sighed sadly and said, "Well, since you insist on making us a couple, I won't argue with you anymore. No matter how I explain it, you won't listen to me anyway."
"What happened to your hand? Did you try to cut your wrist?" Liam cleverly changed the topic, knowing he wouldn't get anything from her now.
"What? What are you talking about who would do that? I accidentally cut it." Ava panicked and laughed awkwardly. She thought what a terrible man how could he guess the right thing, was he some kind of wizard? She must keep her distance from him in the future.
"You know what, you don't need to be so cautious around me, because there will be more opportunities for us to be in contact with each other in the future. Maybe Oliver will marry you, and you will have to call me brother-in-law, right?" Liam joked, he had a carefree smile on his face that Ava had never seen before, she stared at him for a while.
"No way! Even if he wanted to marry me, I wouldn't marry him!" Ava said firmly.
"Oh, he will marry you, and you will be his wife. Mark my word." Liam said calmly.
Based on his understanding of Oliver, he was a very domineering person since childhood. Oliver always gets what he wanted. It's just that Liam still couldn't figure out why he was so interested in Ava?
Ava didn't want to continue this conversation with him. She felt it was pointless, why would Oliver marry her if he was in love with someone else? So she changed the topics.
"What are we going to eat?" The sun was about to set, the light was sprinkled on the earth making it look like a huge golden plate. Ava looked outside the window.
"We'll eat, whatever you like to eat." Liam's smile showed that he liked to follow the lady in this case.
Ava looked at him coldly and said, "I would like to eat your human flesh. Will you give it to me?"
Unexpectedly, as soon as she said that, Liam stretched out his strong arm toward Ava and said with a charming smile, "Sure, but do you like to eat fingers first or arm?"
