After leaving the Anderson house, Oliver called Ava as soon as he got in the car.
Ava was at the Green villa. After the dinner with Liam, she didn't want to be alone at Oliver's place so she grabbed her phone and decided to visit her parents.
"Hey, baby when we are together..." Ava's ringtone broke the warm atmosphere of Green's living room.
Ava looked at the caller ID and suddenly remembered Oliver asked her to go home early. She looked at the wall clock and saw it was quarter to seven. It's still early! She thought.
Ava picked up the phone calmly.
"Hello?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm at home," Ava said in a low voice.
"I'll give you half an hour. Come back. If you don't come back within half an hour, I'll come and pick you up myself." Oliver's voice was cold and threatening.
"I'll be right back," Ava said helplessly.
Oliver was very angry because the women never listen to him. She just got out of the hospital today and instead of resting, she decided to roam around. However hearing her being obedient, he calmed down.
Ava put her phone away and said to her parents guiltily, Mom Dad, there is an emergency at the hospital, I have to go now.
Lily saw the white gauze wrapped on Ava's wrist, she asked with concern: "Ava, what happened to your hand?"
"Oh, It's nothing mom, when I operated on a patient the other day, a nurse accidentally cut my hand while cleaning. It's nothing serious." Ava said calmly with a smile.
"How could you be so careless!" Lily scolded but her eyes were warm.
Ava looked at James with a smile. It looks like her father was able to convince her mother. Ava felt relieved and happy, she wanted to spend some more time with her parents but Oliver's warning echoed in her head. Although she was upset but she didn't want to provoke him. From the beginning of this relationship, Ava knew she was not exclusive to him, in fact, he kept reminding her from time to time who she was to him. She didn't have any right when it comes to Oliver. All she could do was wait until the devil let her go.
"I'll pay more attention from now on, mom," Ava said sweetly.
James suddenly said, "I went to see Jacob today, I dropped the case against him. I gave him a condition, I told him I will drop the case if he leaves the city forever and he agreed." He thought he should give Ava a heads up because Jacob will eventually call her before he left.
Ava listened to her father quietly, her eyes were downcast hiding the emotion from everyone.
"When will he leave?" Ava asked calmly.
"He will be released by tonight, maybe tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow." James could sense the sadness in her silence. It's normal after all they had been together for four years. They should meet one last time, and let go of each other. Maybe they will never meet again in this life.
"I see. Mom and Dad, it's late. I have to go back now. I'll visit you some other day." Ava said with a fake smile on her face.
"OK, be safe on the road and have a rest early." Lily looked at Ava and said softly.
Ava nodded with a smile and left the Green Villa.
On the way to 520 Haibin Road, Ava received a call from Jacob.
"Hello, Ava, it's me. Jacob" Jacob said hesitantly. He didn't know if Ava would talk to him or just hang up, on his face.
"I know," Ava said lightly.
"I will be leaving the city tomorrow night, forever. Can we...is it possible...to meet one last time?"
"OK! Where?"
"Beijing No. 4 High School!"
"Beijing No. 4 High School?"
Jacob and Ava said at the same time. This kind of tactic understanding was developed through four years of their understandings, but it also made Ava feel extremely distressed. If only Jacob didn't do all that, she would probably be happy with him right now.
What kind of fate was that?
"Thank you, Ava. I'll see you at 8 o'clock tomorrow then." Jacob was very happy that Ava agreed.
"OK." Ava's looked ahead on the road.
"Then have a rest earlier tonight," Jacob said not knowing what else to say.
"Bye."
"Bye."
520 Haibin road.
Ava hurried toward the villa while she checked the time on her watch, 28 minutes. Thank god she was able to make it on time. She didn't trust Oliver and the last thing she wanted in the chaos of her life was to let her parents find out about her and Oliver's disgraceful relationship.
Oliver looked at Ava indifferently. Ava didn't say anything either, she could feel the cold atmosphere in the living room. The way he was looking at her made her feel like she had done something wrong. But what did she do now, it was him who left her at the mall and ran after his girlfriend. She should be the one to feel wronged. However, she knew she didn't have any right to complain so after a while she asked in a calm voice "Have you had dinner?"
"Why didn't you do what I asked you to? Do you take my words as air?" Oliver raised his voice a little, there was light anger in his deep eyes. This woman was getting used to coming home later than him and he didn't like it.
"I didn't want to stay here alone so I went home to see my parents. I haven't spent time with them for a long time, I miss them." Ava said sadly.
"If you miss them so much then why don't you move back to live with them."
"Really?" Ava's eyes lit up she felt happy thinking Oliver was finally letting her go but the next second looking at his cynical eyes she realized he was mocking her, of course, he wouldn't let her go, he wasn't done playing with her. Ava sighed.
Looking at Ava's lost and sad eyes, Oliver actually had an urge to kiss her hard, so hard that leaving him would never cross her mind again.
"Go upstairs," Oliver said coldly.
"Why?" Ava asked confused.
"To take a bath and sleep, what else?"
"But I want to watch TV? "
"There is nothing good on the TV, what do you want to watch tell me I will perform for you."
Ava speechlessly looked at Oliver. How could there be such an overbearing person in this world? She couldn't do anything she wanted but he could fool around all over. What a hypocrite. Ava cursed him again and again in her mind and went back to the bedroom.
