Of course, Kiara had a motive to come to this slum today. Even though she messed up the kidnapping but she wouldn't give up and admit defeat against Ava. So she kept an eye on Ava for a while and found out that she had a very close relationship with a nurse called Mia Easton at the hospital. Mia was the same age as her but her family conditions were not very good. So Kiara figured if she gave her some money then this young woman couldn't be able to resist the temptation.
"My name is Kiara and I'm Oliver Knight's girlfriend. I grew up with him. Today I came here because I need your help." Kiara said directly with a smile.
Mia put down the wings she was eating from her hand and wiped them clean with a paper towel. She looked at Kiara and thought if this woman was Oliver Knight's girlfriend then who was Ava? So this was the reason she came here to look for her she must want her to break Ava and Mr. Knight apart.
"I don't think I can help you, Miss Anderson. I don't sell my friends." Mia looked at Kiara with cold eyes and said in a steady tone.
She observed Kiara's clothes, accessories, and delicate make-up, she realized the woman was very rich, but so what? This is the basic principle of life. To Mia her friendship with Ava was precious, even if Ava didn't remember her birthday today, she still wouldn't even think about selling her. What's more, Ava gave her a precious necklace today and even fought with someone to get it for her, how could she harm such a kind-hearted person? At that thought, Mia unconsciously reached out and touched the necklace on her neck.
Kiara was observing Mia the whole time, when she saw her touching the necklace on her neck she asked with a smile, "Did she gave you the necklace to buy you?"
Kiara knew about today's quarrel between Ava and Amelia at Cartier jewelry. She investigated and found out today was Mia's birthday, and the necklace must be a gift from Ava. Otherwise, how could a poor woman like her effort a necklace from Cartier!
"What rubbish are you talking about? Ava and I are good friends." Mia was a little annoyed. She found Kiara's words very harsh just now.
"Listen to me Miss Easton, I am not asking you to betray your friend. I just need a little help from you. Don't worry, I can't touch your friend." Kiara said with a smile.
Mia couldn't understand what Kiara was trying to say so she asked confused, "How do you want me to help you?"
"I know you two are very close and share everything with each other. All I want from you is to tell me what's going on with Ava every day including anything related to Oliver. For example how their relationship is going and if they had any fights, things like that you know." Kiara smiled faintly.
"Why should I do that?" Mia asked without any expression on her face.
"Miss Easton you should understand how the upper-class people work. To tell you the truth, our Anderson Family and the Knight Family are very close friends for generations. So even though Oliver is with Ava right now but he will never marry her after all the status gap between them is very big. She will never be able to enter the Knight family as a daughter-in-law. In the end, Oliver will only marry me so you can understand what will happen to your friend, she will only be a disgraceful mistress for the rest of her life. If you ask me I am actually doing her a favor. I know you and Ava are good friends and when this will happened you will feel bad for her and that's why I came to you." Kiara pretended to be very understanding as if she was only thinking about what was good for Ava.
This trick of Kiara's was obviously useful. Mia's eyes were full of wavering emotions and she fell into deep thought. Kiara was right. Who was Oliver Knight? He was the youngest, the richest, and the most handsome man in a city. Every woman wanted to marry him. Ava was just an ordinary director of the cardiology department. They were certainly not right for each other and the status gap was huge. A family like the Knight will never accept Ava. This was not a fairy tale story that Cinderella would be married to a prince and live happily ever after.
"How do you know that Mr. Knight will marry you?" Mia asked calmly.
"Oh, he will. Even if Oliver doesn't fall in love with me in his whole life, he will have to marry me. Our commercial marriage is already set." Kiara gave her a self-mocking smile to arouse Mia's sympathy.
Commercial marriage is already set?
These words highly affected Mia's mind. Any doubt she had until now over Kiara's words was gone now. Mia was now sure Ava will end up having a tragic fate if she stayed with Oliver Knight. In fact, the day Ava and Dr. Sylvia had a fight and Mr. Knight defended her, everyone at the hospital found out about their relationship and many doctors and nurses were talking about them saying they were not a good match and Ava certainly was not worthy of being with Mr. Knight. So could it be that it was true and they were not good for each other?
