Oliver quickly turned on the GPS app to check Ava's location.
"Where are you?" He asked cautiously.
"I'm outside." Ava didn't want to tell him where she was at that moment, she was so sad that she even wanted to sit at the bay all night. All the people who came here were in a group, only Ava was sitting there alone for hours.
Oliver's phone revealed Ava's location. She was at Bohai Sea Bay right now. He quickly hung up the phone, he needed to find out what happened to Ava. Oliver walked back to the living room where Kiara was waiting for him.
He said politely with a smile, "Kiara, it's late, I should go back. Thank you for dinner tonight. You have worked really hard, get some rest."
When Kiara saw Oliver's face was not looking good, she remembered Lucy's advice, 'Never pester him.' She decided to listen to her and let him go.
"OK, Oliver. Be safe on the road." Kiara said with a smile.
Oliver was surprised to see Kiara was so understanding, she didn't ask anything, didn't even pester him to stay for a bit longer. Seems like she has really changed. However, he didn't have time to think about that. He needed to find Ava so he left in a hurry.
Bohai Sea bay.
Ava was walking by the sea with small steps feeling very lonely. She suddenly stood and looked up, the sky was full of a boundless sea of stars. It was 9:30, and the people around her left one by one. She was the only one there at that moment.
Bohai water bay was really a magical place, even the noisy people would become quiet and enjoy the roar of the sea silently when they were here. Oliver quietly came to Ava and held her waist from behind. Ava was so scared that she was about to shout and struggle when she felt the familiar embrace. Oliver!
A sour feeling came from the tip of Ava's nose again, he was here. She couldn't control her tears and they flew down from her eyes like pearls. Ava turned and hugged Oliver tightly and kept sobbing quietly. She suddenly felt Oliver's arm moved, she was afraid that he would push her away, so she held him even more tightly.
This was the first time, Ava was crying like that in front of Oliver. He was very distressed. His face had already become tender and the anger was long forgotten.
Ava held him like that and cried for a while before recovering from her grievance. She slowly let go of him and saw that she had ruined his precious shirt with her tears. However, Oliver didn't complain.
When Oliver saw Ava crying like that, he took back all the words he wanted to say to her, the blame, the frustration all was gone. Ava took a step back but Oliver put his hand behind her head and pulled her closer to him then he kissed her soft lips.
He let go after a while then said in a low voice "Why are you crying like that? Don't you know I am most afraid of your tears?"
For Oliver, Ava's tears were like a weapon, which would make his calm heart restless in an instant.
"I'm fine. Let's go home." Ava said with a hoarse voice and lowered eyes. Her eyes were red and swollen, she didn't want to look at him like that. She was worried she was looking awful at that moment.
"Why did you cry?" Oliver asked gently holding Ava in his arms, while they were walking toward the car. The night wind was a little chilly so Oliver held Ava more tightly.
Ava bit her lips but she didn't answer him. Tonight, when she found out Oliver lied to her, she felt a deep sense of betrayal so her mood was broken and she was very sad. But she wouldn't say that to him, she would rather hear him what he has to say. Ava's intuition told her he was with Kiara tonight so she wanted to give him a chance to tell her the truth.
When they came to their car, Ava wanted to drive her own car but Oliver straightway refused her. Finally, they decided Oliver will drive Ava's car back. Oliver opened the car door and saw a paper bag on the passenger seat.
At the same time, Ava got into the passenger seat and was about to put the bag away. Oliver felt strange so he grabbed the bag from Ava's hand and opened it. There were two lunch boxes and a bowl of soup in the bag. Oliver took out the box which was still warm and opened it, immediately the fragrance of bento emitted in the air. Oliver opened the second box and saw it was full as well, he realized she must have brought the food for him. Oliver suddenly felt very guilty towards Ava.
"You went to the company?"
"Yes." Ava didn't deny it.
"You silly woman, why didn't you call me then?" Oliver said angrily, she must be hungry until now! Hungry, tired, and broken, Oliver could see how swollen Ava's eyes were. He could tell she has been crying for hours.
"Your secretary said you were out for business, so I didn't want to disturb you," Ava said sadly.
Perhaps, she should really reflect on her identity. They were really not suitable for each other. If they didn't meet at the bar that day, they probably wouldn't meet in any way in their lives.
Oliver didn't know what to say, but his heart felt very warm at that moment. He told her that he would be working late and she prepared dinner and brought it to the company because she wanted to eat with him. Her way of caring for him was different from others. She wouldn't say anything instead she would show it in her simple actions like that.
Suddenly he was regretting spending the whole afternoon with Kiara and he also had dinner at her place. It's just he was angry and frustrated by Ava and he just wanted a little relief that Kiara was giving him so he couldn't refuse that.
