At noon, the sun passed through the clouds, and the earth started to heat up. Everyone was already tired of playing in the water the whole morning so they decided to head toward the restaurant. As the whole place was only open to themselves they all played in all the rides and enjoyed all the facilities.
Ava also got to play all the games and rode all the rides she wanted. For those games, they needed more people Oliver asked the staff to join them to avoid any unnecessary drama and to have a good time with Ava himself.
"Oliver, I am really hungry let's go for lunch." Ava was wrapped in a bath towel over her bikini. She was all wet and her hair was dripping water.
Oliver saw that and took the towel from his neck and started to towel dry her hair gently and said, "Take a shower first, change your clothes. What if you catch a cold?"
Ava was deeply moved by Oliver's care and concern. Since she started living with Oliver, he has been taking care of her all the time. He wouldn't even let her do anything.
"It's such a hot day, how would I catch a cold?" Ava said protesting. She was so tired and hungry that after lunch she wanted to sleep.
"Ava, don't argue! Do as I said. It's not funny, you should look after yourself and not get sick." Oliver frowned and said unhappily.
Oliver wouldn't allow Ava to fall sick or have any accidents even if it's something very minor. Ava was always very clumsy and would hurt herself unintentionally. The last time Amelia scratched her, when he saw the bruises on Ava's leg Oliver was extremely distressed, he felt it was his job to protect her and he didn't protect her well. So Oliver has become more protective over Ava.
"Oliver, I'm not that vulnerable," Ava said with a smile. She thought Oliver always treated her like a child she was not that weak.
"Does it feel good to move around in wet clothes?" Oliver said coldly. Seeing Ava was not listening to him in front of these people he was a bit annoyed now.
"No," Ava said lightly.
"Then take a bath, change clothes, I'll book a room for ourselves and eat together," Oliver said in a domineering tone ending the conversation there.
"Brother, why do you want to eat with sister-in-law alone? You two always eat alone at home. Do you want to abandon your lovely sister?" Erika mumbled unhappily. She could feel that Oliver was keeping a distance from her and Sam today so she was a bit uncomfortable about it.
Oliver said with a cold smile, "Oh! You still remember you have a brother?"
Erika was smart enough to understand her cousin was still angry with her because she brought Sam here without his permission. But she really liked Sam and thought her cousin would understand it.
"Of course, brother how could I forget you but you seem to forget your sister when your wife was around. It's not nice you know." Erika hugged Oliver's arm and said coquettishly. She knew well how to get to her brother.
Oliver looked at her helplessly and sighed in his heart. His sister's stubborn character was also very similar to him, so he couldn't do anything about it.
"Yes, Oliver, let's have lunch with Rika." Oliver's anger was so obvious that Ava quickly chirped in to smooth things over before Erika started to suspect anything.
Sam has been standing in silence, like a bystander. In order to not make anything suspicious to Erika, he rarely looked at Ava today.
"OK, you go to the changing room and change first," Oliver said indifferently.
Erika took the opportunity to grab Ava's arm and pulled her toward the dressing room.
"Av's, what do you think of Sam?" Erika asked excitedly.
"Well, he seems nice, well-mannered, and polite," Ava said truthfully, after all, she knew him well but she also felt guilty for hiding the truth from Erika.
In Ava's mind, she knew Erika was a nice person but she didn't know her by heart so she couldn't tell how Erika would react to that piece of information. She was very happy that Erika considered her as a friend and she also wanted to cherish her friendship with Erika. She couldn't lose one friend over another, so she decided to keep quiet. Ava knew she might be a little too selfish for wanting it all but she was a human what could she do she had been alone all these years and getting all these lovely people around her she was a little greedy.
"I think so too, I don't understand why Oliver is so against him." Erika has been thinking about it for a while why Oliver hated Sam so much.
Sam is young, ambitious, and excellent. Although he doesn't have much money but he has more than enough to live on.
"Maybe he thinks Sam is not good enough for you, after all, you are Erika Knight. Not many can compete with that status, you know. Your brother wants what's best for you." Ava said lightly, not knowing what else to say.
"Av's, how many excellent men like my brother exist in this world? I cannot keep waiting forever for someone like him to appear in my life...." Erika stopped abruptly and thought of something.
Seeing she suddenly stopped talking Ava looked at Erika and asked worriedly, "Rika, what happened?"
"Nothing, Av's, you go ahead and change, I'll be right back. I need to talk to Arvin." Erika said seriously.
"What? Why do you need to see Arvin?" Ava asked cautiously.
Arvin must be with his fiancée right now if Erika went there and Jessica caused any trouble after all everyone knows Arvin and Erika are in love with each other.
"What's wrong?" Erika didn't think talking to Arvin was wrong they were friends after all.
"Arvin's fiancée is here. Wouldn't she get upset if you go to talk to him?"
"Why would she?" Erika brushed it off like nothing.
"Rika, tell me something seriously, do you have feelings for Arvin?" Ava asked in a low voice.
Erika fell silent, tightly pursing her red lips.
