Sam's decision

The phone barely ringed before Oliver picked it up. "Hello." Came Oliver's magnetic voice.

"Oliver, I'm sorry. My phone was on charge in my room so I didn't hear it when you called." Ava said softly.

"It's OK. You took your bath?" Oliver said with a soft smile.

The happiest time of his day here in thousand miles away for Oliver was when he called her every day at this time, although they couldn't talk for long because of the time difference but he was still satisfied that they were able to talk to each other.

"Not yet."

"Why not, it's so late?" Oliver frowned. If she take bath this late every day she will surely fall sick. This woman was so willful. Oliver wanted to finish his work as soon as possible and fly back to Ava. He missed her so much.

"We have a guest at home. By the way, Oliver, did you do anything to Ethan recently?" Ava decided to tell Oliver about the incident tonight.

"Why?" Oliver who was leaned on the sofa lazily suddenly sat down straight.

"Something happened today, when I was at the hospital parking lot he suddenly appeared with three men and tried to force me to go with him almost kidnaping me, luckily someone came to my rescue and they had to leave." Ava narrated the whole incident but she didn't want to anger him by telling him that it was Sam who saved her, so she left that part.

"What?" Oliver's eyes had a murderous look in them as he looked at the distance.

Ethan was so brave to try to kidnap his girlfriend, especially when he was away. Looks like he hasn't realized yet who he messed up with and Oliver has to show him that as soon as he gets back to the city.

"Yes, he kept saying that he had no other choice. What is this all about?" Ava asked confused.

"Baby, did he hurt you?" Oliver asked with concern.

"No, I'm not hurt," Ava said with a smile.

"I am sorry baby, it's my fault. I never thought Ethan would do something like that. Actually, I have reported their illegal dealings and private holding to CSRC and they have started an investigation on that. So Ethan must have thought of threatening me with you. Av's, don't worry, I won't let that happen again. From tomorrow, I will put bodyguard details on you 24/7." Oliver said sincerely.

If anything happened to her tonight because of him he wouldn't be able to forgive himself ever. Thank god she was rescued and safe. Oliver thought since it was hospital premise the security guards must have saved Ava so he didn't get into that details.

"This Ethan is unbelievable!" Ava exclaimed. She felt calm listening to Oliver's warm voice.

"Don't worry about him. Take a bath and go to bed, it's already very late." Oliver looked at his watch and calculated the time and said affectionately.

"OK. Oliver, I miss you." Although Ava was also aware that it was late but she was reluctant to let go, she wanted to talk some more with him.

Before Oliver could reply to her, there was a knock on the door followed by a male voice which Oliver heard clearly from the other end.

"Ava, can I come in?"

"Oliver, I have to go, I'll talk to you tomorrow, ok!" Ava said hurriedly, she didn't want to let Sam in while she was on a call with Oliver, he would definitely be angry to know Sam was here. What she didn't realize that Oliver had already heard Sam's voice through the phone.

"OK," Oliver said through clenched teeth, he felt bitter in his heart. It was Samuel's voice, why he was at Ava's place this late? Samuel's gentle and elegant appearance flashed in Oliver's mind and it pierced him. This time when he gets back he will take care of both Ethan and Samuel.

After hanging up, Ava opened the door and saw Sam was standing there. "Sam."

"I'm leaving, so I came to say good night to you," Sam said with a warm smile and eyes full of love and longing.

"OK, I'll walk you out," Ava said politely.

"No, it's getting late. You should go to bed, you have work tomorrow." Sam said thoughtfully and patted Ava's head gently.

"OK, drive safe."

"I will," Samuel said with a smile.

"Good night."

"Good night," Sam said and left.

Lily and James were standing not far from them they could see the sweet interaction between the two people and Lily said with a smile, "Husband, I think they will make a perfect couple."

"Me too. It's very obvious that Sam likes our Ava." James sighed. If Ava and Oliver weren't together then he would like his daughter to be with Sam, such a decent kid!

In the elevator, Samuel closed his eyes and thought how wonderful life would be if Ava was by his side every day. He opened his eyes and there was a determination on them to get her so he made the decision to collaborate with Kiara. He must have Ava. Tonight James and Lily's attitude toward him made him feel even more confident that he was able to give Ava a good life that Oliver wouldn't be able to give her.

The next day, when Ava left her house, she saw five tall and fierce-looking bodyguards were standing at the door. Seeing her coming out, they all greeted her, "Good morning, Miss Green."

"Good morning," Ava said awkwardly. She wasn't used to such attention so she felt a bit embarrassed.

The Bodyguards followed Ava in their own car and when Ava entered the hospital they scattered away blending among the people to keep an eye at the hospital.

Beijing Tiantan Hospital.

Ava walked into the hospital and straight head toward the elevator. The doctors and nurses greeted her all the way to the elevator. Suddenly Ava's eyes fell on a familiar face and her good mood was ruined. What the hell is she doing here, Ava wondered.

"Good morning, Dr. Green." Kiara greeted Ava enthusiastically with a clear and sweet voice as if they were close friends.

"What do you want Miss Anderson?" Ava asked annoyed. This women always find different ways to harass her.

"Oh, Doctor Green I am just greeting you why are you so annoyed?" Kiara said innocently but she sneered in her heart.

Ava ignored Kiara, directly walked towards the doctor's elevator, and swiped her card. She knew that way she could lose her. Except for doctors, other people were not allowed in this elevator however Kiara surprised her by following behind.

Ava turned and said, "Miss Anderson, this is the doctor's elevator and it's going to the inpatient department. If you want to see a doctor please go to the outpatient department."

"Coincidentally, I need to go to the inpatient department too, Miss Green," Kiara said arrogantly, her eyes were full of provocation.

"This is the doctor's elevator. Please find the patient's elevator." Ava got inside and pressed the button to her department.

"What kind of rule is that only doctors can use this elevator? Doctor Green you are such a rude person how do you even handle your patients with this attitude?" Kiara smiled scornfully.

Ava was too lazy to argue with her and Kiara was already in the elevator, so she decided to just ignore her. The more she will keep arguing with this woman the more her mood will be ruined. The elevator stopped on the 24th floor to the cardiology department and Ava got out in high spirits. She sensed that Kiara was right behind her but she didn't turn back or said anything.
