Ruthless Ava

"What? Because of Samuel Evan, you want to break up with me?" Oliver asked in disbelieve. Was this woman that unreasonable?

"No, it's not because of him. I have decided a while back and already wrote you a letter and left it in your dresser. I can't be with you anymore." It took a great effort for Ava to say all this so calmly.

Oliver looked at Ava carefully and knew she was not joking, his heart was in a mess. Why she wanted to break up with him. Suddenly all the things that happened since he came here made sense to him. So she already told her family that she wanted to break up with him and that's why everyone was behaving strangely and that's why she was so distant from him and that's why she was not wearing the pendant. Oliver suddenly felt like a fool. He rushed to her place to take her home just to hear that she wanted to break up with him.

"Av's baby, stop making trouble. If you are still angry because of the misunderstanding we had last time, I apologize to you." Oliver looked at Ava uncomfortably. He didn't like the indifferent look on her face.

"Oliver, listen to me, it's not because of that I am breaking up with you. I just don't feel that we are right for each other, we are two people from two different worlds. I always feel inferior to you and I don't like that feeling so please Oliver let me go." Ava forced herself to calm down and said these harsh words to him. It's better to break up now, if Oliver somehow found out that she betrayed him he will be even more heartbroken and she wouldn't be able to bear that. It was not his fault.

"Let you go? Why Ava? Didn't we already go through all this before? I promise that I will not interfere with your work again or make you feel we are from a different world, please baby, don't do this." Oliver's eyes were full of pain yet he smiled at her faintly. He had never begged anyone before but if she comes back to him, he was willing to beg her.

Ava clenched her fist, her heart was burning to see the pain in his eyes and she almost blurted out that she didn't want to break up with him. But she knew she couldn't do that, the pain in his eyes will be a thousand times more if he found out she slept with Sam. Ava composed herself and looked at him indifferently, "Oliver try to understand, I don't love you. I never did." Ava's voice didn't even tremble when she ruthlessly crushed Oliver's heart. But her own heart died in her chest at that moment.

She never loved me? Oliver let out a mocking laugh then asked, "Then who do you love, Ava?"

"Of course it's Jacob. It has always been him."

"I don't believe you," Oliver said lightly.

"Oliver please don't make trouble. We're done. Go home." Ava said very seriously.

Oliver stared at Ava for a while, then turned and disappeared into the night.

It was not until he was gone from the sight Ava let the tear fall from her eyes and fell on the ground. She had lost everything tonight. The man she loved has left her forever, she will never be able to see him again. Even after hurting him so much, trample his ego like that Ava's selfish heart still hoped Oliver would come back to her. She loved him too much, leaving without him is going to be like breathing without air, she didn't know how she will do that. Ava dragged her tired body and walked home numbly.

"Sis, are you ok?" Sarah saw Ava entered the house looking lost she quickly walked toward her and asked anxiously.

Ava waved and said lifelessly, "I'm ok."

"Dinner is ready, come and eat." Lily looked at Ava and she understood immediately Ava had broken up with Oliver.

Ava walked toward the dining table like a robot and started to eat absentmindedly. She didn't feel any hunger she just ate for the sake of eating.

After dinner, Ava quietly walked to her room, took a shower, and lie down on the bed. She closed her eyes but kept seeing Oliver's pain striking eyes as if they were haunting her. She let the tears fall from her eyes as she memorized that face in her mind to keep reminding herself that she was such an unworthy person for him.

520 Haibin Road, Oliver's Villa.

Oliver came back to his villa and hurried to his bedroom, he needed to see what the women left for him. As he rushed inside Mrs. Lee was surprised to see him alone and the look on his face told her that he was very angry. She wondered if he had another fight with Ava.

"CEO Knight, where is Miss Green?" Mrs. Lee asked from behind.

"Dead." Oliver didn't even turn, he said coldly, and went upstairs.

Mrs. Lee sighed and went back to the kitchen, these two must have fought again.

Oliver rushed into his room, kicked open the door, and straight went in front of the dresser. He looked at the dresser, Ava's phone, her pendant, and a neatly folded letter was there. Oliver's eyes looked at the letter fiercely for a moment before he picked it up and opened it.

In Ava's neat small handwriting she wrote, 'Oliver, I've been thinking about it for a long time, you are such an excellent man I don't think I deserve someone like you. I am a broken woman and you deserve someone better than me. I hope someday you find a woman who will be equal to you in every way and also will love you wholeheartedly. I am very fortunate that you loved me so much but I am not worthy of your love. Please forgive me and forget me.'

Ava signed her name at the bottom of the letter, it looked beautiful but at that moment it was piercing his eyes.

'Congratulations Ava, for making a record to break my heart.' Since high school, Oliver has received many love letter's but this was the first time he had received a breakup letter. Unbelievable! This woman could really come up with many strange ways to torture him. Oliver held the letter tightly in his hand then tear it into pieces and threw it in the bin. Oliver turned and went downstairs.

"Mr. Knight, will you have dinner now?" Mrs. Lee asked with concern.

"No, you can have it," Oliver said coldly with an indifferent face and left the villa.

Mrs. Lee looked at Oliver's leaving back and thought he was acting just like he use to before Ava. Only Ava had the ability to make him act like a warm man. Mrs. Lee hoped whatever the problem was between them would solve quickly and Oliver would get back to his normal warm self.
