Beating Sam

Arvin and Oliver drank till very late then passed out on the sofa. The next morning, Oliver woke up early out of habit. It was barely 6.00 Am when he opened his eyes, he sat up on the sofa and held his head with his two hands. They had too many drinks last night now he has a terrible headache and he smelled like alcohol and smoke. He was disgusted by the smell that was coming out of his body. He turned and saw Arvin was still lying on the sofa on his stomach. Oliver kicked on his butt to wake him up.

Arvin felt Oliver's kick, he hardly could open his eyes. His eyelids were heavy and he also felt a headache. So he wanted to sleep some more, however, Oliver kept kicking him. Leaving with no choice he opened his eye and shot a bloodthirsty look at him.

"Get up and get me some fresh clothes," Oliver said coldly rubbing his temple.

Arvin closed his eyes again and mumbled in his sleepy voice, "Look in the closet of my room, pick whatever you like."

Oliver stood up from the sofa and said calmly, "Are we going to beat Samuel up or not?"

As soon as Arvin heard that, he was wide awake. He quickly got up from the sofa and walked toward his closet. He got some fresh clothes for Oliver then took out some for himself and went to his bathroom.

Oliver took the clothes from Arvin and went directly toward the guest room to take a shower. Arvin and Oliver had similar body structures so their clothes fitted each other.

After Oliver and Arvin were done they got out in Oliver's car. They were going to deal with this Samuel once and for all. Oliver already knew his morning habits. Samuel always goes for a run by the lake around 6.30 Am to the nearest park to his apartment then he goes to the breakfast bar that was one block away from the park for breakfast.

Oliver and Arvin reached Chaoyang Park. It was early and not many people were there at the park because of the hot weather. Oliver stopped the car and got out with Arvin, they walked toward the lake and easily spotted Samuel in a set of ADI's black sportswear. There was no one around him at that moment by the lake so without wasting any time they started to follow him.

Samuel started running early today, he was already done with his morning run but he liked the peaceful atmosphere so he was walking slowly by the lake. He didn't notice anyone following him because he was listening to music. Suddenly someone came from behind and stood in front of him blocking his path, and before he could understand what was happening a punch landed on his face. Samuel was so shocked that he didn't react for a while, and when he did he realized it was Oliver but by then Oliver and Arvin started to throw punches after punches on him as if he was a punching bag.

Samuel fell to the ground, he looked at Oliver and asked, "Oliver Knight, what do you want from me?"

However, Oliver didn't answer him, he charged toward him with an angry face, picked him up from the ground, and punched him again.

Samuel could see that Oliver and Arvin were not here to talk they were here to beat him so he quickly collected himself and prepared to fight back. At that moment Arvin was about to throw another punch on him but Sam dodged it and threw a punch on Arvin's face which made him stagger and take a few steps back.

Oliver realized Samuel was a skilled fighter by the way he blocked the punch of Arvin and attacked him back so he got alert as he rushed forward. Oliver roughly guessed Samuel's next move so it was easy to block his attack, then he started to beat him fiercely without giving him any chance to fight back.

By getting a punch from Samuel, Arvin's ego was hurt so he also rushed forward and kicked Samuel's calf with all his strength.

Although Samuel had good fighting skills but he couldn't win against two of them so he was beaten down badly by Oliver and Arvin. His whole body turned blue and black with bruises and his mouth was spitting blood, he was about to lose consciousness when some people noticed two people was beating him from far away, they rushed to help.

Oliver saw movement from the corner of his eyes and saw the people, he quickly pulled Arvin away from Sam and walked away. They both were from renowned families and they didn't want to be in the headlines of the newspaper.

Finally, Samuel was lying on the ground half dead. The people quickly called the police and ambulance and Sam was sent to the hospital.

Coincidentally, Samuel was sent to Beijing Tiantan Hospital which was nearest to the park. Ava had just arrived at the hospital. She was passing by the outpatient department when she heard about an emergency case of someone being beaten badly, Ava was curious and went to see what happened. She was shocked to see Samuel pushed in the stretcher.

Ava blinked and thought she might have seen wrong but before she could confirm the nurse and the doctor pushed the stretcher and took him toward the operating theatre. Ava hurried to catch up with them and found she was right it was indeed Sam, who was lying unconscious.

Ava looked at Sam and asked the nurse anxiously, "What happened to him?"

"He was beaten by someone at the park. They called the local police and sent him here." The nurse said, opening the door of the OT.

Ava frowned and stared at Samuel, who was hurt all over and then entered the operating room along with the doctors. The surgeon made a comprehensive examination on Samuel and said all his injury was external and nothing internally damaged but there was a slight concussion, so he needed to stay in the hospital for observation for few days. Ava was relieved to hear that. Samuel was sent to a normal ward afterward and Ava came to check if everything was OK.

Looking at Samuel hurt and lying on the hospital bed like that Ava was very angry because she knew it must be Oliver's doing, however, she couldn't go to him and ask anything, she could only swallow it.
