Liam's Girlfriend

Ella finished her snacks, she was quietly sipping her coffee and waiting for Liam to say why he was looking for her but he still hadn't mentioned anything. She had a feeling whatever Liam wanted has something to do with Ava so she decided to ask directly. She also needed to know what Oliver's girlfriend was doing with Liam.

"So what's going on with you lately Liam?"

"Actually Auntie, I have news that I wanted to share with you and it was partly because of why I asked you out for a coffee .'' Liam looked at Ava with a smile and took her hand then said, "Ava and I decided to date each other."

Ella just took a sip of her coffee she was so shocked to hear it that she almost sprayed the coffee out of her mouth. She looked at Ava but her stunned face made Ella even more confused. Ella was always very observant, it's not that she didn't notice Liam has always been competing against Oliver but she didn't want to acknowledge it. Now this news and Ava's reaction told her something was not right and Liam was playing some game but it was not her place to ask.

Ella picked up the paper towel from the table and wiped her mouth gently, then she said calmly, "That's great news Liam and Miss Green. Congratulation! But I had an impression that Miss Green was dating my son?"

Liam quickly said, "Auntie, Ava, and Oliver have already broken up. They were not suitable for each other, so it had to end at some point. It's quite normal these days, isn't it?"

No suitable for each other? Yes, it's normal these days to split up after dating for a while but for some reason, Ella felt like it was just an excuse. She fell silent for a while, then picked up her coffee, took a sip, and replied calmly, "Yes it is."

"So we decided to date and our relationship is very good, but auntie there is a problem. Oliver has been finding trouble with Ava every now and then. He has even beaten Ava's friend badly two days ago. So, Auntie, I was wondering if you could talk to him and ask him not to pester Ava anymore." Liam quickly got to the point for which they were here today.

"Miss Green, what Liam said, is it true? Have You really broken up with Oliver?" Ella looked at Ava directly in the eye and asked.

"Yes," Ava answered in a very low voice, she felt very uncomfortable in her heart. At that moment Liam squeezed her hand to encourage her so she tried to calm down.

It's true, she and Oliver have broken up but saying it in front of his mother made it even more real now. Maybe deep down inside she was still hoping to get back with him and that's why she felt so uncomfortable.

"I am really sorry to hear that, I know my Oliver has a bad temper and it's difficult for most people to be around him. I will talk to him." Ella said softly looking at Ava.

Ella really admired Ava, she was so clever and lovely. Ella had a feeling only Ava had the ability to tame his wild son and make him discipline. That was one of the reasons she was very happy to know Oliver was dating her. It's a pity that she couldn't be her daughter-in-law.

"Thank you so much, auntie. We really appreciate it." Liam said with a sunny smile. His whole face was very bright because he was genuinely happy that finally Ava and Oliver were done with each other.

"It's alright, you don't have to thank me," Ella said with a kind smile. No matter whose girlfriend Ava was, she still loved the girl.

Ella looked down at her watch and saw it was almost 4:00 now. She decided to go to Oliver's office and talk to him about this. She couldn't understand what her son has done to drive this lovely girl away. But now that they decided to part ways then he must deal with it properly.

"Liam, Miss Green, I wish you all the happiness. I have to go now but don't worry I will talk to Oliver." Ella stood up and left the café gracefully.

After Ella left, Ava closed her eyes tightly and let out a deep sigh. So it's finally over.

"Don't worry. My aunt will take care of it." Liam held Ava's hand again and said with a smile, his eye were looking at her with tenderness.

Ava looked at him and quickly pulled back her hand. She didn't like him touching her like that. In front of Ella, she was helpless and couldn't say anything but now the act was over. However, she was still grateful to him because he did help her as he has promised so she smiled and said, "Thank you, Liam."

"You don't have to thank me." Liam saw Ava's reaction he felt a bit hurt but he knew her temperament so he didn't say anything.

"OK, I have to go back to the hospital now. Bye." Ava quickly stood up and left.

"Bye," Liam mumbled and stared at her leaving back.
