Ava sat there in the chair stupefied, she couldn't believe this kind of dangerous thing exists in this world. If more people get a hand in those terrible things how many crimes would happen every day.
Ava looked at Sam with creased eyebrows and asked doubtfully, "Are you sure it was the fragrance? How could such things exist in the world?"
"I really don't know. According to Kiara, this kind of fragrance doesn't work on men, but I think it worked on you. I was there and I saw it with my own eyes and I have to agree that its effect was very powerful since you didn't remember anything and even thought you kissed me and took off your clothes." Sam said sincerely.
Ava was silent. Finally, after knowing the truth, she was very relieved. She has been having a hard time accepting what she had done. But thank god it was all the effect of the hallucination. Nothing really happened and she never even kissed Sam, all were fake memories. Thank god! But now she was actually afraid to think how dangerous Kiara actually was. Ava wondered if Oliver would believe her if she told him what Kiara had done?
It's not that Ava didn't understand Oliver's difficulties. After all, the relationship between the Knight family and the Anderson family needs to be maintained, if anything goes wrong in his business Kiara could help him but Ava has no money or status to help him out. So it's normal for Oliver to let her go.
"Sam, thank you for telling me the truth and returning my innocence." Ava looked at Sam gratefully.
"No, I should apologize to you, Ava. What I did was really wrong. I was confused and angry at Oliver so I agreed to cooperate with Kiara. I'm really sorry about those photos." Sam lowered his head in shame and kept apologizing to Ava, the guilt was clear on his face.
Ava shook her head and gently smiled at him. Her excitement could be seen in her smile. Under the dim light, Sam looked at Ava and thought now that everything was out in the light, he couldn't stay in this city anymore. Oliver had already made him lose his job and now after this incident, he will be grateful if Olive didn't kill him. But more importantly, he will not be able to face Ava and her family after what he had done. Now that Sam realized his mistake he wished he didn't do such a vicious thing then at least he would be able to stay friends with her. Sam looked at Ava with affectionate eyes and finally decided to let her go. He couldn't be here to see her happiness with his own eyes but he will bless her from afar.
In the security room.
Oliver and Erika were sitting shoulder to shoulder together, watching and listening to the whole confrontation through headphones.
Oliver let out a sigh of relief, so they didn't sleep with each other finally Ava was able to clear her name on her own. Samuel admitted it all. But next, Oliver is going to find Kiara and exposed her in front of his family so his grandparents never utter her name in front of him. He had already warned her not to cross Ava's path again but she was so brave that she made such a vicious plan and even dared to expose those photos in front of his family at his grandfather's birthday party. 'Ok, Kiara you are so confident just because grandpa and grandma like you, I will make sure that you don't have any face to show in front of them again.
"Brother maybe you will scold me again but I want to tell you something. Do you remember, when I was five years old, I got lost once on the street? At that time, a big brother gave me a balloon and accompanied me, and waited until my parents showed up. That person was Samuel. I didn't know it until I saw his childhood photo today when I went to his apartment to look for him, Maybe that's why I never could hate him. My heart always knew he was not a bad person. He made some bad decision but his mind is pure." Erika smiled and looked at Sam through the computer screen.
"That was Samuel?" Oliver's eyes widen as he looked at Erika surprised.
Oliver clearly remembered, that year when Erika got lost, she told them a big brother around ten years old bought her a Mickey Mouse balloon with the only dollar he had in his pocket. Erika was very scared on the old street corner and he accompanied her and told her stories to distract her. Later Erika's parents looked for Samuel for a long time but Erika never knew his name so they never found him.
"Yes, the first time I saw him, I don't know why he gave me a comforting and safe feeling now that I think about it, we were connected by that incident and that's why I feel very protective of him. I know he doesn't like me but I like him and I still want to give it a try." Erika said sincerely.
"Rika, I understand what you are saying but I want to ask you something. In your heart, what place Arvin holds?" Oliver asked seriously.
"Now, maybe I consider him just as a friend. I did like him once but I think he is not as brave as Sam. He never seriously pursued me. I guess when it comes to love Arvin has always been a coward." Erika said calmly but she felt bitter at the thought of Arvin.
"Rika that might not be the case, you know. Sometimes in love, even the boldest man becomes a little cautious. You should think about it clearly, so you don't miss the one who really loves you." Oliver leaned on the chair and said thoughtfully.
Erika looked at Oliver and asked seriously. "Have you thought it through?"
"Yes." Oliver nodded and his eyes become tender at the thought of Ava. Now he knew his heart clearly, he has put down the past and he wants to look forward to the future with Ava.
"Then when are you going to tell Ava about Melody?" Erika asked gently. She knew every time she mentioned her name in front of Oliver his mood immediately changes. So she hesitated a bit before asking it.
"I will, but I need to find a suitable time. If I told her now she might not be able to accept it." Oliver said lightly, looking at the distance.
Oliver was in love with Ava's best friend, it would be a big blow for Ava so Oliver was afraid to tell her. Besides if he told her head actually approached her to seek revenge then she might hate him and run away from him which Oliver can't let happen. Sometimes he even considers not telling her anything at all, except Erika and Arvin no one actually knows about Melody. So if he didn't say it she might never find out.
"Actually brother, I think it's better not to tell her about Melody. It's probably better to bury some things deep inside the heart forever." Erika said thoughtfully.
But it's too risky, what if she finds out one day, she will hate him even more for hiding it from her. Oliver suddenly became very confused about it. He really didn't know what to do.
"Let's find Ava and get out of here." Oliver stood up seeing Ava was about to come out of the darkroom from the monitor.
Erika suddenly grabbed Oliver's arm and said gently, "brother, will you please let Sam go?"
Oliver turned around and with a dotting smile on his face he said, "OK."
Erika smiled happily and walked out of the monitoring room with Oliver.
