Ava forced out a smile and said to Lilly, "No Mom, I am not pregnant. It must be something I ate at lunch today, maybe it's a stomach bug. Don't worry I'll take some medicine and I'll be alright." Ava didn't want to worry Lilly more, she was already worried about her and Oliver's relationship so Ava lied.
"Really? Are you sure?" Lilly asked suspiciously.
Ava nodded and said firmly: "Yes mom I am sure. I just had my period a few days ago."
"Oh. That's good then. Take some medicine and I'll make some soup for you, your stomach will feel better." Lilly heaved a sigh of relief and said with concern.
"OK, Mom. Thank you."
Ava went to her room after having dinner, as she was not feeling well. As soon as she entered, her phone started to ring, it was Oliver. Ava quickly picked it up. The scarf was almost finished and tomorrow was Oliver's birthday, she will finish it by tonight, the timing was perfect.
"Hey babe, what are you doing?" Oliver asked in a warm tone.
"I am reading a book, what about you?" Ava said casually as she picked up the scarf and start to weave again.
"I'm thinking about you," Oliver said with a doting smile. He was holding his iPad in hand and was looking at an open album affectionately, where it was all Ava's pictures, mostly in her sleeping postures, some were taken when she was busy with something or was working on her laptop very attentively.
"Actually, I was thinking of you, too." Ava laughed.
"Then why didn't you say that before?" Oliver asked raising one of his eyebrows as the smile on his face got wider.
"I'm a woman. Shouldn't you guys say those things first? "
"I'll pick you up after work tomorrow." Oliver suddenly said. He really missed her, the last two nights he almost couldn't sleep because she wasn't in his arm.
"OK," Ava said lightly.
They talked for a while longer. Ava didn't stop weaving and soon it was done. She looked at the deep blue scarf in her hand. Finally, she finished it. Ava held the scarf and rubbed it on her cheek, it felt so soft. Ava thought Oliver will surely like it. Looking at the scarf she suddenly had the urge to run to him and give it to him right away. She immediately made up her mind to go back tonight.
"Have you taken your shower yet?" Oliver looked at the wall clock, it was already half-past nine. Ava usually goes to bed by now.
"Not yet, Oliver. I'll take a shower and go to bed, OK! Good night." Saying that Ava jumped out of bed, folded the scarf, and put it in the prepared gift box. Then she put on her coat, and quietly left the Green Villa.
Oliver's Villa.
Ava wanted to surprise Oliver, so in order to not let him find out, she parked her car a hundred meters away from the house and sneaked into the villa silently. Oliver thought Ava had already gone to bed, so he also decided to go to bed early. The whole villa was dark, Ava pressed the code, opened the door, and got inside. She quietly walked upstairs and put the gift box beside the bedroom door before tiptoeing inside. She saw Oliver was sleeping on the bed. she went directly to her closet and changed her clothes then crept into the bed.
Oliver just fell asleep so Ava's light movements didn't wake him up. In fact, he didn't realize Ava was there until she wrapped her arm around Oliver's waist. At first, Oliver froze then he felt the familiar touch. He was so surprised he almost shouted out, "Ava?" Oliver sat up in the bed and, turned on the light.
"Yes, it's me," Ava said with a smile. Looking at Oliver's handsome face she suddenly realized how much she missed him.
They looked at each other with warmth in their eyes.
"When did you come back?" Oliver was ecstatic, he immediately took her into his arms. He was very happy to see her and liked the surprise very much.
"Just now," Ava said with a smile. Looking at Oliver so surprised Ava felt good because she hardly saw him so surprised, she knew she was doing something right.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier that you were coming home tonight? I would have come to pick you up." Oliver said and turned off the lamp.
"I wanted to give you a surprise! Did you like it?"
"Silly girl, of course! I love it," Oliver said with a smile and started to kiss her ears. He slowly rode on top of her and ran his big palm over her body.
His touches seem to be casual but Ava knew where this was heading so she became alert. Although she was not sure whether she was pregnant or not, but if she really was then they should not have sex until the doctors say that it was ok. So for their child's safety, she started to push Oliver.
But when did Oliver ever listened to Ava in bed? He was like an unsatisfied beast, the more Ava tried to push him the more passionately he would kiss her. Moreover, they haven't had sex for a few days so how he was going to stop now? Oliver thought Ava was actually welcoming him so he kept going on.
Ava saw her protest was not working so she finally said in a tired voice, "Oliver, not tonight please, I'm really tired."
"But we haven't slept with each other for days," Oliver said in a grieving tone.
Ava heard Oliver's tone she could help but laugh out loud, then said in a coquettish tone, "Oliver, you are sometimes such a child."
"Fine, I'll let you sleep tonight." Oliver sighed and came off her. She was always tired these days, Oliver felt helpless but he didn't want to force her, so he compromised.
"Good night, devil!" Ava said mischievously and put her head in Oliver's chest.
"Good night, baby." Oliver held her tightly in his arm and said with a smile as he slowly closed his eyes and fell asleep.
