Jealous Oliver

Oliver came back to the hospital almost running thinking Ava must be very hungry. He first bought congee with preserved egg and lean meat for Ava then thought it was already evening it will not be enough for dinner so he ran to a Japanese restaurant and ordered some sushi for her. Which took him a while.

However, as soon as he came to Ava's room door he heard Daniel's loud voice coming from inside. His face instantly got hard, although he didn't hear what Daniel was saying but the fact that he was here was already making him angry. God knows what that man would say to Ava against him. He turned the doorknob, pushed the door open, and entered with a smile on his face. There was no trace of anger on his cold face.

"Oh, Daniel you are here." Oliver walked straight in and said very casually, which was a bit weird because it sounded like they were friends.

As soon as Oliver reached Ava's side, his eyes fell on the heat preservation box and the empty bowl on the table. It looks like Ava has already eaten. Oliver didn't know why, he felt a sense of loss. Damn it! This Daniel was one step ahead of him!

Daniel has always been a cunning man since he was young. At the beginning of his career, he handled some complicated cases where the convict wouldn't admit their crimes and Daniel had a weird way to make them confess even without the evidence on his hand. Which was a bit scary that's why he made a name in the field in a very short time. Daniel was very good to persuade other people and which was making Oliver worried.

Daniel smiled faintly. He knew Oliver would not welcome him here, so he stood up wisely and said gently, "Ava, you have a good rest and pay more attention to your health. I'll leave now." Daniel took the heat preservation box, arranged the bowl and spoon, ready to leave.

"Ok, Thank you for coming to check on me, Brother Daniel. Take care." Ava said lightly with a smile. Although she knew Oliver didn't like Daniel but he was her friend and well-wisher and she didn't want to have a fallout with him because of Oliver.

Before Daniel left he looked at Oliver coldly and said, "Goodbye, Mr. Knight."

Oliver said with a mocking smile, "Take care."

Looking at them Ava sighed at the bottom of her heart. She did not know who the two men owed in their past lives, that they became enemies in this life.

After Daniel left Oliver put down the food he brought with him on the table and said coldly, "Looks like you have already eaten."

"Well, Brother Daniel came to see me and brought some food. I was hungry so I ate a little. It doesn't matter, I can still eat." Ava said with a sweet smile. Although she was not hungry anymore, but she didn't want to make Oliver upset so she said that.

However, as soon as she said that she started to hiccup. Ava quickly covered her mouth but she still kept having them. Her body jumped with every hiccup which was very uncomfortable.

Oliver sighed and shook his head helplessly. This woman really had a way to make people worry about her. He opened the bottle of water and poured it into a glass. He handed the water to her and said, "Drink it, take a mouthful of water and swallow it eight times."

Ava looked at him and her eyes were smiling, she didn't know whether it will work or not but she still did as he said. Surprisingly the method did work and her hiccup was gone.

Ava looked at Oliver and said with a smile, "Wow Mr. Knight, your methods do work."

Oliver looked at her indifferently and said, "did you think it won't? Anyways, why that man was here?"

"You're talking about Brother Daniel?" Ava asked a bit puzzled as Oliver said that man.

"Don't call him Brother Daniel in the future. It sounds intimate, I don't like it." Oliver said annoyed, jealousy was clear in his tone.

"Well, he is my senior, if I don't call him Brother then what would I call him?" Ava asked with an innocent face.

"Just call him by his name," Oliver said in a sour tone. He was very jealous seeing Ava and Daniel so close, although he knew It was just friendship but he still didn't like it.

"But I'm used to calling him like that. Maybe I won't be able to change the habit right away." Ava said helplessly. Sometimes, she felt the men were very unreasonable.

"Fine, do it slowly but don't call him Brother Daniel again," Oliver said narrowing his eyes.

"Alright, as you wish." Ava agreed with a smile.
