Emily's drama

Emily wouldn't give up, this was her chance pretending to be pitiful, and blaming him would help her get to Oliver and make him feel guilty so she kept her act.

"Why are you doing this to me? I don't believe it…I don't believe that you don't love me anymore and that you fell in love with my best friend." Melody said almost screaming holding Oliver's arm desperately.

Oliver finally looked at Melody and said with a serious face, "Melody, I am sorry but I really love her and even if I was still in love with you it's too late. I am a married man now and Ava is pregnant with my child."

"Oliver, I know... I know but I still love you and I can't live without you. Please don't leave me like that." Melody pleaded in a choked voice. Hot tears were still running from her eyes.

"Melody it's too late."

"No, it's not."

"Listen to me Melody, you need to know the truth. You were gone for almost 6 years and I fell in love with Ava. I don't love you anymore and this is the truth."

"I don't believe it. Why did you choose her? Isn't it because of me? Isn't she just a substitute of mine?" Melody asked looking directly into Oliver's eyes.

Oliver held his breath and closed his eyes. Yes, it was because of Melody he approached Ava but he never thought of Ava as Melody's substitute how he was going to explain that to her?

Emily saw Oliver was quiet, she quickly changed her tone and said softly, "I'm right, aren't I?"

"Melody it's more complicated than you think. Yes, I did get close to her because of you but it was not because of what you think. Things changed." Oliver looked at her and said sincerely.

"Things changed because you thought I died but now I am back so you don't have to keep your pretense with her anymore. "

Oliver was speechless. The more he tried to make her understand that he doesn't love her anymore the more she is acting aggressively this was not like Melody at all but then again a lot of time has passed and people changes with time. Moreover, he was aware of her connection with Liam so Oliver couldn't completely trust Melody. However, since she was Ava's friend he needed to make things clear with her. He didn't want Ava to find out about his past. The past, he has been trying hard to hide from Ava all this time. He knew her well, if she finds out she will leave him.

Melody was observing Oliver's expression, seeing he was quiet once again she thought she got Oliver's weak point, she came closer to him and without any warning holding his neck she kissed him passionately.

Oliver was lost in his thought when Melody kissed him. His mind went blank and he got lost in the kiss for a second. But he quickly got back to his senses and pushed her away. With light anger in his eyes, he asks, "What do you think you are doing?"

"You kissed me back, that means I am still in your heart, Oliver. Please don't deny your true feeling anymore. You still love me."

Oliver stared at her speechless, he was thinking something else and when did he kiss her back? Oliver felt a headache. He needed to get away from her and think it through how to explain things to Melody. He cannot risk her say anything to Ava and he can't seem to think clearly when she was around. Oliver started the car decided to drive silently.

Emily could see that her actions were not working so she decided to change the subject and talk to him about his trip to England. "Oliver, I heard you are going to England on business tomorrow. I would like to come with you if it's ok with you. Will you take me please?" Melody looked t him and asked with hopeful eyes.

"What? No way. I am going on business not on holiday" Oliver was stunned at her request he immediately refused her. Was she really his Melody? She wasn't like that, when did she become so desperate? Was it possible for someone to change so much?

"I know but now that I remember everything I don't want to live without you even for a second. Please take me with you. I promise I will not disturb you at all." Melody asked in a soft and a little coquettish tone.

Oliver thought for a moment and agreed. He needed to clear things out with Melody anyway and it will be good if they were out of the country, here anybody can see them together. He has to keep it secret from Ava at any cost. So it's best he takes her with him and clears the misunderstandings once and for all.

Oliver came home as soon as he dropped Melody. Just like the other day Ava was still waiting for him. Seeing him come into the living room she came to him and hugged him. But then a strong perfume hit her nose. She was familiar with the perfume it was Melody's perfume. Ava was a bit puzzled why her perfume was on Oliver's body. Ava pulled back and asked, "Oliver, why there is a female perfume coming from you?"

Oliver froze for a second as he recalled the kiss with melody in the car. He said in a stiff and uncomfortable voice "It's must be Melody's. The car is so small, it's normal to have her perfume on me." He felt guilty for lying to her but what could he say to her.

"Oliver, you are not tired of me, are you?" Ava said in a sad tone lowering her head.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Oliver frowned.

"I just…"

"No more nonsense. Baby, I love you and we are married how can you ask me such a question? Don't you trust me at all? Don't you believe in my love at all?" Oliver said in a tone full of blame, he was really upset.

"Of course I believe you. I am sorry I didn't mean it that way. Please don't be angry. Let's go and have dinner. It's already late." Ava quickly pulled him toward the dining table.

After dinner, the couple went straight upstairs, Ava took shower and went to bed. Oliver also took shower in the guest bathroom, he wanted the perfume smell gone as soon as possible. If Ava didn't insist on having dinner he would have taken shower before dinner. Oliver was reading a book on the bed when Ava came out of the bathroom drying her hair with a towel. Oliver looked at her and a smile showed up on his face. Looking at her he could easily forget any problems or dilemmas he had. He walked to her and took her in his arm then without any warning he started to kiss her.

Since Ava's body has become very heavy it was uncomfortable for them to have sex so he has been restraining himself but tonight he really wanted to have her. He took her to the bed and kissed her fiercely on the face, shoulder, and neck. Ava thought he would want it tonight but to her surprise, he suddenly stopped took her in his arm, and said in a low but thick voice, "Sleep baby. It's late."

Ava smiled and fell asleep in Oliver's arm peacefully. However, Oliver couldn't sleep well that night. Every time he closed his eyes he would see the scene that happened in the car. He really needed to clear things out as quickly as possible. He cannot let Ava find out anything. If requires he will send the whole Parker family abroad. It's best for Melody and Ava to stay far away. The more close they will get there will be more chance for the truth to come out and he can't let that happen at any cost. He can't lose Ava.
