Ava couldn't take it anymore she threw the violin and ran out of the room. She came down to her bedroom and shut the door tightly locking it from inside. Ava suddenly started to feel sick to the stomach, she ran to the bathroom and started to threw up whatever she had in her stomach. she didn't have breakfast in the morning so nothing really came out but her stomach still kept churning. She didn't stop until her stomach started to ache.
Ava slowly sat down on the bathroom floor holding her head and started to cry again, letting out all the pain and grief. Everything was a lie. From the beginning, her and Oliver's relationship was nothing but a big farce. What was she going to do now? Oliver betrayed her, even her best friend betrayed her.
Melody and Oliver knew each other for 3 years but not even for once Melody mentioned him to her. She kept it all inside, at that moment Ava wondered if she really knew Melody at all.
Melody has always been a quiet girl, but how could she kept something so big inside her for 3 years when Ava shared every single thing about her life with Melody. When she told Ava she has a boyfriend before the accident, Ava thought her relation was still new, she never thought they had been secretly dating for 3 years.
Ava felt lost at that moment, she kept crying for a long time until there were no more tears left in her eyes. Ava stood up washed her face and came back to her room with trembling feet. She heard Mrs. Lee calling her but she didn't want to talk to her at this moment so she said she was resting and will have breakfast later. Mrs. Lee assumed Ava was not feeling well so she didn't disturb her and left her alone.
Ava wanted to talk to someone but didn't know who to call. She took out her phone and looked through her contact list when she came across Daniel's number. Suddenly Ava recalled the story Daniel told her in the car, the other day, on their way back to the city. It was her, Melody, and Oliver's story!
He knew! He knew it all.
Ava closed her eyes in pain. Oh My God, how could she be so stupid! Everything was in front of her but she didn't see it. Ava started to cry again as she dialed Daniel's phone number.
Daniel saw Ava was calling he happily picked up the call without any delay. But the moment he picked up he heard Ava's weeping on the phone. Daniel was sitting in his office, he abruptly stood up and walked out of his office.
Daniel asked in a panicked tone, "Ava, what happened? Why are you crying like this?"
"Sir, the story you told me the other day, was about Oliver and me, wasn't it?" Ava said in between her sobs. Her eyes were already red and swollen from all the crying and her head was aching.
Daniel felt even more panicked hearing Ava. He was having a bad premonition in his heart. He said in a gentle voice, "Ava, I don't understand what you're talking about. First, tell me where you are right now?" Daniel immediately ran to the control room to check Ava's location on the system. He could easily do that using Ava's phone number.
"Don't you dare to lie to me too! How long have you known? Why didn't you tell me?" Ava shouted.
"Ava, please calm down. Tell me where you are, I will come to you and we can talk face to face, OK!" Daniel quickly typed Ava's number on the system as he tried to calm her down. The system immediately tracked her location and Daniel saw Ava was at home. He connected the system through his tab and ran out of the office nervously.
Ava got more angry, she hung up the phone. She hated it when someone lied to her. Ava wiped her tears and dialed Melody's number. She needed to ask her why she lied to her, why she didn't tell her about Oliver. She needed to know why her best friend betrayed her like that.
"Melody, I have something urgent to talk to you about, Can we meet now? I'll wait for you at the summer palace, in front of the lake." Ava said calmly. Kunming Lake used to be their favorite place in the city so Ava decided to confront her there.
Emily smiled and said softly, "OK." Then hung up. She already knew Ava would ask her to meet when she sent the text this morning from an unknown number.
Ava quickly took a shower, got ready, and went out in a hurry. On her way out she told Mrs. Lee she was going to see Melody and will be back home soon, then rushed out of the house.
