Let's get a divorce

Ava's mind was in a mess, she felt like she has lost everything with the child, she felt like she was falling into the abyss, and the people who were pushing her toward the abyss were the closest people of her life. Ava felt sick to even look at Oliver, he said he loved her but it was all lies. Everything he said was a lie. So she didn't have anything to tell or ask him. And Ava become silent, she didn't feel like talking or smiling anymore, she just kept staring at the distance, shutting the world around her.

The day Ava got released from the hospital, the final of midsummer night's dream piano competition was held in Viena. A 20-year-old young man won the competition and become the talk of the city overnight but Ava had no interest to know anything about it, she seemed to have forgotten about the competition and her dream to win it. With the child, she seemed to lost everything. The way she was behaving it looked like she even has lost her will to live.

Oliver brought her straight home from the hospital and put Mrs. Lee in charge of looking after Ava. But the problem was Ava wasn't cooperating at all, it has already been a month she came home but her health seemed to be getting worse. She barely eats or sleeps, her face looked haggard and pale. She stays all day in bed without saying a single word to anyone.

Oliver knew Ava would not forgive him so easily so he didn't force her. Although his heart ached for her, he tried to give her as much time as she needed. He just endured everything silently, after all it was his fault. He couldn't take good care o his wife. If he took care of Emily's matter immediately after he came back from the trip then this would never happen. He thought Emily was not that important to get his immediate attention but little did he know that that vicious woman would dare to hurt Ava.

Oliver believed, if Ava didn't lose her child that day then she would eventually forgive him. She has always been very kind-hearted, he believed if he confessed everything and asked for her forgiveness she will take him back. But everything changed with that accident, she was already hurt by his betrayal, and then she lost her child, he could understand her anger towards him.

On that day, Oliver took Ava to the nearest park from their home to get some fresh air. He has been doing that for a while now taking her out every now and then to make her feel a little better. But she never reacted to anything or said anything. Her silence was killing him from inside yet all he could do was endure it and let her punish him.

Oliver looked at Ava, the warm sunlight fell on Ava's face, although she looked tired but she was still as beautiful and elegant as she used to be. Ava was as usual staring at the distance with her lifeless eyes but the pain in her eyes couldn't be hidden from Oliver. His heart ached to look at her like that. Once Ava used to be naughty, she would talk a lot and smile a lot but now she just keeps looking at nothing with a sad face all the time and Oliver was aware that he was the reason for her sadness but he couldn't do anything to help her and that made him angry and helpless.

Ava was sitting in the wheelchair, silently looking at the distance. Suddenly her eyes fell on two children, who were playing and laughing there. One was about five years old and the other one was about eight years old. The little boy was holding the hand of the little girl and picking some flowers from the garden. The boy gave the flowers to the girl, she took them with a bright smile and ran away from him giggling loudly. The boy ran after her calling her name. It was a beautiful and warm scene.

Ava saw the two children she couldn't help but remember her lost child, her eyes become dim and her whole body became tense. She suddenly remembered, the first time Oliver said it was a boy in her womb but later they both expected it to be a girl. They even prepared a piece of music dedicating their little princess, but all this was gone now leaving the painful memories. Ava suddenly realized she never asked Oliver whether it was a boy or a girl. Then she thought what difference would it make knowing whether her dead child was a boy or a girl. The child was gone and with that lot of things were gone.

Ava, who hasn't said a single word to Oliver in one month, suddenly spoke. " Oliver, let's get a divorce."

Oliver was pushing the wheelchair, stopped on his track, and looked at Ava with shocked eyes. He always feared Ava will ask for a divorce and when she actually said those words he didn't felt sad or angry, instead he was happy that at least she finally decided to talk to him. As far as divorce, that will never happen. Oliver will never let Ava go, she still couldn't understand that she was his Oxygen, if she left he will surely die.

Oliver slowly squatted down in front of Ava and said with a dotting smile, "Let's go home." As if he didn't hear what she had just said.

Ava didn't say anything or react, she kept staring at the distance like before. She knew him too well to know he won't let her go that easily but she also knew she couldn't be with this man anymore. Looking at him she will always remember the betrayal, she will always remember the child she lost. She can't live like that.
