Where is my child?

In the operating room, Ava was lying on the operating table unconscious. Her C-section was going on but Ava was completely unaware of what was happening still there was a tear in the corner of her eyes. Maybe even in her unconscious state of mind, she realized the child she has been carrying in her stomach for the last eight months has been separated from her.

Ava didn't know how long she has been sleeping, when she opened her eyes it was midnight but she still felt exhausted. Opening her eyes the first thought that crossed her mind was her child, Ava touched her stomach and felt it was flat, her heart immediately sank. Tears started to run down from the corner of her eyes. She looked around for a nurse to ask about her child and saw Oliver was sitting on the chair by the window holding his head with his two hands looking down.

Seeing Oliver with a slight hope she asked in a hoarse voice, "Where is my child?"

Oliver looked up and rushed to her side, he asked her worriedly, "How are you feeling baby?"

Ava stared at Oliver and asked again, "Where is my child?"

Oliver's face sank, his eyes were full of pain and guilt. He gently stroked Ava's hair and said in a gentle voice, "Honey, we will have children again in the future."

Ava's world seems to collapse with those words. She let the tears fall freely as she started to cry loudly. She lost her child.

Oliver hugged her trying hard to stop Ava's body from shaking. She just had an operation her wounds were still raw, if she moved like that the wounds will be open again. He tried to soothe her but nothing seemed to work, she kept weeping loudly.

Oliver said in a soft tone, "Baby calm down, you just had an operation. The doctor said your health condition is good, as soon as your body recuperate, we can try for another child."

"Another child? With you? You cheating bastard, we are done. Get out of here!" Ava roared angrily and pushed Oliver hard. Her body moved and she started to cry in pain. She was disgusted even at the sight of this man in front of her.

Oliver was already prepared for this, he knew the moment Ava will wake up he will have to face her hatred but still when she said that Oliver felt like someone stabbed him right into his heart, it was suffocating.

"Ava baby, please don't do that." Oliver held Ava's hand and said in a soft voice. He was really afraid of losing Ava.

But Ava seemed like she couldn't hear anything she looked at Oliver and said, "Oliver Knight, I will never forgive you in my life."

Oliver didn't say anything and he refused to let her go. He held her and let his tears fall silently. Why does it feel like he has lost everything today?

That night was heartbreaking and very long. Ava cried all night and the whole hospital echoed her heartbreaking cries. It wasn't until dawn when she finally calmed down and fell asleep with a heavy heart.

Ava stayed in the hospital for a week, she was always silent. She never spoke another word to Oliver again. No matter what Oliver did or said she would not react. She just kept staring at the distance. Oliver didn't pester her or got angry, he knew she was grieving, so he let her grief. He thought once she got out of the sadness she will be alright but for the whole week, Ava didn't utter a single word to anyone.

Oliver started to get worried but he didn't know how to help her to get through the pain. He didn't try to explain anything to Ava about Melody, first, because he was feeling guilty, and secondly, he was afraid Ava will hate him even more if he tried to explain anything to her at this moment. So the week passed like this. Oliver was at the hospital the whole time and let Uncle Joe handle the business.

However, he went back to his villa once when Mrs. Lee informed him about the room on the third floor. On the night of Ava's operation, Oliver went back to that room, the lock was completely broken, inside the room, everything was a mess, his diary, chat logs everything was on the floor and the violin cabinet was broken. Oliver clearly understood that Ava was here and she saw everything.

Oliver closed his eyes and regretted not moving these things from here earliar. Since he decided to move on, why he kept all these? Oliver took every single thing out of the room and burned them in the backyard erasing every single memory of Melody. Then he asked Mrs. Lee to clean the room and ordered Uncle Joe to change all the furniture of that room and make it another guest room.
