I want to run away

Daniel followed Ava up to the stairs to her room. He glanced at Oliver but didn't even greet him.

Oliver didn't follow them, he thought it's better to let her at least talk to someone she liked to talk to. He trusted her and believed that he was still in her heart. She was just angry, when she will calm down she will eventually forgive him.

In Ava's room,

Daniel sat down on the sofa quietly. The day Ava had that accident, he was assigned to a case in Thailand. For this whole month, he was there and he didn't have any way to even contact her. As soon as he came back from Thailand he decided to come and see Ava.

"Ava, I'm sorry I couldn't come earlier."

Ava smiled slightly but her face was a little stiff. "I've been waiting for you, sir." Oliver already told her that it was Daniel who saved her that day and she has been waiting for him to visit since then.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save your child," Daniel said lowering his head.

Ava shook her head and said in a soft tone. "No, Brother Daniel, it's not your fault. I am thankful to you that you followed me and saved me that day."

"No Ava, if I could reach there earlier then maybe this would not happen," Daniel said in a heavy tone. He knew well how much she has been looking forward to giving birth to that child. He really felt bad for Ava.

When Daniel came to Ava's house today, he was hesitating to enter the villa. After all, Oliver and he never get along, but he couldn't resist the urge to see Ava and when he saw Oliver he was expecting a fight but to his surprise, Oliver didn't say a word to him. Seeing his calm and patient behavior Daniel realized Oliver has changed. Oliver who always wore an indifferent face was very careful today and his eyes were soft and full of guilt. He could tell, the man was suffering as much as Ava was suffering.

"Maybe this is life. It's not your fault. I was waiting for you because I need your help. I've decided to divorce Oliver. Can you help me?" Ava said looking at Daniel, there was no hesitation in her hazel eyes.

"Ava, if you really want a divorce, I will find the best lawyer in the city to help you fight a lawsuit. But I know Oliver, I'm afraid he won't let you go." Daniel said with a sigh. He knew well how far Oliver can go to get something he wanted. This fight will be pointless.

"I know. That's why I need you. I want to run away from here."

Daniel was surprised to hear that. He didn't realize Ava and Oliver's relationship has reached this point. He stared at Ava for a while trying to understand her mind but seeing her determination he had no reason to hesitate.

"If that's the case then I will help you but you will have to do as I say," Daniel said in a low voice.

Ava nodded and listened to Daniel carefully. To be honest, she didn't like Daniel's plan but there was no other way for her to get away from Oliver, so she agreed.

Daniel didn't stay for long, after talking to Ava he came down. He saw Oliver was sitting on the couch with a heavy face. He pretended not to see him and walked toward the door. However, Oliver stood up seeing him coming down, and grabbed Daniel's arm when saw he was leaving.

"How is she?" Oliver asked in a low voice.

"She's your wife. Why are you asking me?" Daniel said mockingly.

"She hasn't spoken to me for more than a month," Oliver said with a grim expression and a slight sadness in his tone.

Daniel sneered in his heart and thought to himself, 'you deserve it. When she loved you wholeheartedly, you didn't cherish her. Now that you lost her love, you finally realized what you have lost. That's god's justice, you can never get away by doing something wrong.'

Although Daniel felt bad seeing the way things turned between Ava and Oliver But he hated Oliver. Since Ava has decided to divorce Oliver, he will definitely help her. He has been in love with her for so long if she gave him a chance he will marry her and try to keep her happy for the rest of her life. In a way, it was actually Daniel's selfish reason to help Ava.

"Oliver, is this how you said you will take good care of her? You know this is not my place to say anything but I would like to give you a piece of advice. Treat her well, you are still in her heart." Daniel said coldly, although he didn't want to admit it but, it was the truth.

Daniel left and Oliver stood there, for the first time in a month he could really smile. She still had him in her heart, which means he still has hope. Oliver turned and ran upstairs.
