The speech

Daniel walked to the stage and took the microphone from the host. Instantly the lights around them dimmed and the spotlight fell on Daniel.

As the room fell silent Daniel's deep voice echoed through the microphone. "Good evening, everyone. I'm very happy and grateful to you all for coming here tonight to the charity event of the A&D group. As you all know "The Hope Charity foundation" was established to help children with heart disease especially, Congenital heart disease. CHD is a general term for a range of birth defects that affect the normal way the heart works. The term "congenital" means the condition is present from birth. Congenital heart disease is one of the most common types of birth defect, affecting almost 1 in 100 babies born every day. Children are the future of our country, and according to the statics if 30% of children are dying because of CHD every year, then can you imagine how much risk our future is in?

Our aim is to help as many children as possible through this foundation to make a better future for all of us. I would also like to announce that tonight the amount of money we raised from my wife Mackie's concert will also go into this charity foundation. Now I would like to invite my beautiful wife, Mackie to come on stage and say a few words."

Ava looked at Daniel and smiled gently. She walked on the stage gracefully like a noblewoman. Her aura was full of confidence.

Ava took the microphone from Daniel and bowed to everyone then said in a very confident tone, "Good evening, everyone. I'm Mackie the founder of "Hope charity foundation". First of all, I would like to thank you for coming here tonight and making a donation to a good cause. With the continuous progress of society, our living standard is getting better and better every day. But as my husband mentioned earlier so many children are born with congenital heart disease or die with some critical heart condition every year. Unfortunately, the treatment for any heart disease is very expensive and it's almost impossible for some ordinary families to afford the medical expenses. That's the reason I decided to establish this charity foundation so that we can help as many children as possible and let them have the life that they deserve, thank you all once again for your generous contribution. "

Oliver stood there not far away, looking at Ava, his eyes were full of nostalgia. She left for three years and finally came back home. Although he believed wholeheartedly that Ava was alive and safe somewhere but still a part of him was scared at the possibility of her being dead in that accident. He still remembered the day the bus fell off the cliff. It was so heavily raining that day, everyone said it was impossible for anyone to be alive in that terrible accident. But Oliver didn't give up, he had to believe that Ava was alive and safe, or else he wouldn't be able to live. He made the search go on for three days almost forcing them to look for Ava. But at last, he had to stop, however, he made himself believe that Ava was just angry and that's why she left, she will come around and come back to him once she calms down. What he didn't expect was that she wouldn't come back for three years. He was still glad and relieved though that she came back.

Oliver was already aware of how deep his love for Ava was, and after she left, he was almost going crazy for her. He even developed some terminal illnesses. He only forced himself to live because of Orion. That little guy was the only source of happiness left in his life. Looking at Ava today he could tell she hasn't forgiven him yet but he will not give up on her. He believed she still has him somewhere in her heart and he will get to her heart again somehow. Ava Knight, I will not let you go anywhere again in this life.

Ava finished her speech and slowly walked off the stage with her head high. She was very happy and relieved that, so far everything was going really well tonight. Although she was prepared to face Oliver again tonight and got a little swayed by the emotion when she saw him, but his usual arrogant self actually helped her to remember who Oliver Knight really was. Now she was confident that Oliver's presence will not affect her in any way. Ava came down and Daniel walked toward her with two glasses of Champaign in his hand.

"Well said my wife, cheers to you."

"Cheers." Ava took the glass and gulp it down at once.

A&D Group had attracted many people's attention from the shopping mall for the past two years. As they never met the CEO of the company they all were very curious about who was the man that was so capable to make a new company so well-known in such a short period of time. Now that everyone knows that it was Daniel Sherman they were very interested to build a good relationship with him. All the businessmen gathered around him, congratulating him on his success and flattering him with many compliments.
