Discipline

Ava was completely dumbfounded when she heard Oliver. What did he just say? Discipline? Did he just kidnap her daughter so that he could ask her to be his son's piano teacher? Ava was fuming now as she looked at Oliver.

Orion's eyes lit up hearing his father, he smiled at Ava expectantly and said in a sweet voice, "Auntie will you really teach me? I heard your music at the concert and I love it. I would love to be your discipline."

Ava's heart softened instantly the moment she heard Orion's sweet voice. How could she say no to this little fella? Her first impression of Orion was not good but now looking at the little boy she thought he was really cute and it was impossible to not like him. Besides his behavior problem was not really his fault, Oliver and the boy's mother must have never taught their son any discipline. A little guidance and care maybe will change that.

Nina also spoke out on behalf of Orion, "Yes, mommy, brother Orion is so good at playing Piano. Will you teach him?"

Ava smiled and wondered how these two became so close in such a short time. She nodded her head and said rubbing Orion's head, "Alright, let's see what you know about the music first. Play me a tune."

This little action made Orion feel loved, he thought, her voice was so soothing and nice somehow it sounded familiar and gave him comfort. He quickly nodded his head and sat down on the piano bench.

Orion thought for a while before he start playing a simple tune he learned this afternoon. He played it smoothly without any major problem in rhythm. Every beat was smooth and perfect.

Ava was surprised to see Orion playing so smoothly, she wondered if he inherited Oliver's gene because Ava could tell by the posture and the way he was playing it was very natural and he was comfortable. The kid was very talented. When he finished, Ava smiled and immediately praised, "Wow Orion, you are really good."

"Thank you, sweet Auntie. So will you take me as your discipline?" Orion asked looking at Ava with bright eyes full of hope.

"Of course, but let me tell you, I'm very strict. If you want to learn from me you have to be very sincere. Can you do that?" Ava said in a serious tone. Actually, Ava never thought of taking any student, even now that she opened an academy she didn't take any personal discipline but seeing the hope and excitement in Orion's eyes she didn't have the heart to deny him so maybe she will make an exception only for Orion.

"Don't worry, Miss Mackie I will learn with full dedication," Orion said with a serious face.

Ava fell into deep thought, she was normally busy with the foundation work and she will also have to check on the academy from now on and take classes on Sundays. Only on Wednesdays, she will have some free time on her hand, so she said, "How about every Wednesday at six o'clock? Will it be convenient for you?"

"Yes, of course, Miss Mackie," Orion said immediately. After school, he was always home anyway so he has a lot of time.

"OK, it's final then. Today I'll have to leave as I have something to do so I will see you next Wednesday. OK!" Ava said as she picked up Nina, ready to leave.

Oliver has been observing the interaction between Ava and Orion and he was very happy but the moment Ava said she was going to leave his good mood dissipated and his eyes darkened. Why was she always in a hurry to get away from him? Was she so desperate to go to Daniel? Jealousy was crawling into Oliver's heart. Although Oliver doubts Daniel and Ava's relationship was a façade but he didn't know for sure so obviously he hated it when she wanted to leave him and go to Daniel. It made him feel like she couldn't even stand being around him, He felt angry and sad at that thought.

"Wait Miss Mackie, don't you think we need to talk about your fees?" Oliver said with an indifferent face and pointed her to follow him upstairs.

Ava hesitated for a few seconds then put Nina down and said, "Sweetie, play with Brother Orion for a while, Mommy needs to talk to uncle Oliver. I'll be right back, ok!"

Ava stepped on the stairs and cursed Oliver in her mind. That man was pure evil, why did she think he will let her go that easily?

Oliver stood at the top of the stairs and waited for Ava to catch up, when she was near he turned and went straight to their master bedroom. Ava didn't want to go inside the bedroom that used to be once her and Oliver's, but since Oliver was leading her there, she had no other choice but to follow, Ava clenched her fist and tried to control the thumping of her heart. She didn't know why she was suddenly so nervous.

Ava's heart tremble a little as she took a step inside the room, however, the moment she did she was astonished to find the familiar environment. Every single thing was as it was three years ago, nothing has changed, it was like she was back in time when she used to live with Oliver in this room. She was even more surprised to see their wedding photo hanging on the wall. The sudden familiarity overwhelmed her and made her eyes become moist. Ava looked away and wiped the traitor tears that fell down. She took her time trying to control her emotion. Why her heart was so out of control? And why did Oliver bring her to this room? They could talk in his study but no he had to bring her to their very intimate space in the whole house.
