How Oliver lived

Erika heard about Ava's adopted daughter so it was normal when she was picking up the baby girl's clothes but when Ava picked up the set of boy clothing, Erika asked curiously, "Who is this for?"

Ava bit her lips and said somewhat embarrassedly, "Rika, can I buy this for your nephew, Orion? He is a very sweet boy but he always wears dull clothes I think he will look good on this."

"You know Orion? " Erika's eyes widen in surprise.

"Yeah, we met a few times actually. In fact, I am his new piano teacher." Ava said a little embarrassed.

"Oh! How come that little brat didn't say anything to his favorite aunt?" Erika was a bit confused. Ava was Orion's piano teacher. Suddenly a light bulb lit up over her head and she smiled. This must be Oliver's doing, if Ava agreed to teach Orion then there is still hope that Oliver will be able to fix the mess and get her back. Erika smiled and said, "Orion is very naughty but is a little charmer."

"Yeah, that boy has a sweet mouth. He is a charmer just like his father." Ava blurted out without thinking as she picked out another orange boy set for Orion. Then she stopped in her track when she realized what she had said, her face turned red in embarrassment. How could she say that? She hates Oliver how could she think he was charming? She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself inside. She cursed Oliver in her heart and quickly started to head toward the counter to avoid Erika.

Erika also stopped checking out clothes and stared at embarrassed Ava. What's going on, if she still thinks Oliver is charming then why she insists on not being with him? However, Knowing Oliver is already making his move she decided to keep quiet and watch how her brother gets Ava back. She just smiled mischievously but didn't embarrass her more instead she said, "Right! Actually, no one in the family has the heart to say anything to him since he grew up without a mother."

Ava stared at Erika with a blank face then said confusedly, "what do you mean by he grew up without a mother? Where is Orion's mother?" Although Ava already noticed that Orion's mother doesn't live with them in the Villa, but she didn't believe that Orion doesn't have a mother. In fact, she tried to find the information on the internet but there was nothing related to Orion and her Mother.

Erika shrugged her shoulder and said, "No one knows who his mother is, Oliver found him when he went to Switzerland on a business trip and said he had no parent so he adopted him."

"And you believed him? Erika anyone could see the resemblance between Oliver and Orion. It's obvious that Orion is his son." Ava said in a mocking tone. How anyone could believe all of his crap without any doubt?

Erika felt uncomfortable in her heart hearing Ava. It's not that they didn't think of the possibility of Orion being Oliver's own son but even though the boy looked too much like Oliver and even his attitude, and expression matches Oliver sometimes, they dismissed the possibility. Besides, knowing her proud and OCD brother she knew he was not capable of cheating on Ava so when Oliver said he has adopted Orion they all believed him without any question.

After thinking for a while Erika said in a very serious tone, "Av's, I know what you are thinking but Orion is not Oliver's son. In fact, since you left he never let any woman come close to him. He has been waiting for you. I don't know what he has done to you but I hope you can calm down and sort things out with him. I know you love him too, talk to him, let him explain don't just give up on what you two have. It's not easy to fall in love or find true love. He truly loves you, Ava."

Ava fell silent did she really want to hear him out? Did she need him to explain anything to her? Wasn't everything clear as day when she broke into that room three years ago? Ava sighed and said, "Rika, Orion looks so much like Oliver, it cannot be a coincidence. He is definitely Oliver's son."

"Ava, believe me, Oliver had not been with anyone since you left. He was devastated when you left and would be sick most of the time. He would even get hospitalized due to his poor digestive system once in a while. So Uncle Conner had to keep n close eye on him and that's how we know how he lived his life. Two years ago he went on a business trip to Switzerland and there he suddenly fell sick and was admitted to the hospital where he found Orion. Orion was an orphan so Oliver decided to adopt him. Maybe he did it because he felt guilty toward you or the lost child, but I can assure you that Orion is not Oliver's illegitimate child."

Ava was in a daze hearing Erika, she didn't know why her heart ached when she heard about Oliver's hospitalization. Erika explained how he refused to eat or drink, and only worked day and night to keep him distracted. He would hardly go home until he adopted Orion. He turned even more cold and distant than before. Ava couldn't understand why though. Did he feel guilty toward her? Or, did he really love her so much that it was the only way he could cope? Ava felt lost once again as she couldn't understand what truth was and what was a lie.
