"Ava it's not like what you think." Daniel looked away feeling guilty. It's true that he was worried that Ava will meet up with Oliver again so he put a GPS tracker in her car. When he saw she was at her parent's, he still decided to check it for himself. Maybe he was still worried she will meet Oliver here but his heart broke when his suspicions came true and he found Oliver was really here. And not only that they were standing in each other's arms while he stood there and watched like a joker.
Ava stared at him and said coldly, "Danny we will talk about this tomorrow, Go home. I will be staying here tonight. If you don't trust me then I have nothing to say to you."
Daniel's face instantly sank, he looked at Ava feeling hurt "Ava, please..." Ava shook her head which stopped him, he stared at her for a while then he looked at Oliver once and left without another word.
Oliver felt funny thinking Daniel was looking like a clown. In fact, he was a clown, he has been dancing around Ava like he has a hold on her while Ava was nothing but a dream for him. The way Ava just reacted and sent Daniel away proved once again she didn't have any romantic feelings for Daniel, or else she would have definitely defended him.
Ava turned to look at Oliver and said lightly, "I am going up, you should go home too." Saying that Ava didn't wait she went toward her house.
"Looks like he doesn't trust you at all and follows you around." Oliver put his hands in his pocket and said in a taunting voice from behind.
Ava stopped on her track and turned back then said, "No need to be so happy. I can still talk to him and fix things tomorrow."
The smile on Oliver's face vanished instantly as he came to Ava with two large strides, "Don't bother to fix it, Ava, because the way I see it, even if you stayed with him, it won't end well for both of you. So come back to me before he loses everything?"
Ava clenched her fist and asked in a cautious tone, " What do you mean Oliver, what are you planning to do? "
Oliver sneered and said in a slightly angry tone, "Still so worried about him, huh? Well, I don't even have to get my hands dirty because of him because he has done it himself. "
Ava furrowed her eyebrows and asked worriedly "I am not following, what did he do?"
"Why don't you ask him if he has ever evaded taxes," Oliver said coldly.
"Danny! Impossible, he would never do such a thing." Ava retorted immediately. She couldn't tell if Oliver was lying or not, but she felt a bit unsure. Could really Daniel do something like that? He was a man of law, he surely wouldn't break the law like this, right? Then again when he planned that accident he had already broken the law. The more Ava thought about it the more she became uncertain.
"Really! Are you sure Ava that you know him well enough to know what kind of man he is? Because it doesn't seem to me that you two actually share many secrets with each other. Anyway, you can always check his laptop and find out whether I am lying or not." Saying that Oliver turned toward his car and left.
Ava stood there in the darkness in a daze thinking about what Oliver had just said. Was he telling the truth? Did she really not know Daniel well? Were they really hiding many secrets in their heart? She knew she did, whether it was to avoid trouble or make him less worried, or even not want to share her true feelings, she did hide many things from Daniel so it's also natural that Daniel would do the same.
Suddenly Ava was not sure anymore about her and Daniel's relationship. She always thought that she used Daniel to annoy Oliver but was it really like that? Or was it the other way around? She knew Daniel loved her but was his love that blind for him to do things he shouldn't have done? Oliver's words made her question everything she knew about Daniel.
