It was already late afternoon. He got up to do his daily necessities. That's when he noticed it.
He never realized it when he got to this forest, but this forest was off. No, it wasn't just the forest, but everything. Everything had a presence, almost as if they were alive? It wasn't just the trees, it was the rocks, dirt, even the sky. They all had this 'presence' in them.
He decided to ignore this. He chose to focus on the fact that this wasn't his "reality". When he entered D4C, there were no neighboring worlds that even resembled his own. What was even more shocking is that he couldn't enter the cities. No matter how much he tried he couldn't enter.
Instead he could enter villages. The closest village he could go to was odd. Every village he saw looked odd. They all looked like makeshift militia. They had wooden walls surrounding the village. The better looking ones had stone walls.
He decided that he needed information about this new world. He traveled to a village with stone walls. That's when he realized that there was no one in sight. The street was completely empty, but there was sound.
Sounds of yelling were coming from near the center of the village. When he reached the center of the village he found all the villagers surrounding a platform. The man on the platform immediately caught his eyes.
It was an old man in a typical Asian white robe. The main thing that attracted him was his presence. The man had the same presence that everything else had, but it was bigger, and shaped into a perfect tool for the old man. The villagers also had a bigger presence than objects and plants, but it was nowhere near the old man's presence.
It looks like everyone was mad at a specific teenage boy. He had black hair and eyes full of ambition. He had that same look Johnny had in his eyes. Eyes that were ready to sacrifice everything for their goal.
There was a huge difference though. This boy's eyes looked at the people around him with hate. He hated and despised these people. He shouted over everyone yelling to state his anger and resolve.
"I DON'T CARE IF I HAVE THE WORST CULTIVATION! I WILL RISE AND BECOME AN IMMORTAL!!!", he yelled before running away from the shocked crowd.
What was first shock turned into mockery and ridicule as they laughed at his declaration. Our protagonist that was watching this, had no clue what was happening. He decided to chase the boy instead. It was on a whim, but he felt like he should.
After a few minutes of going to where the boy had ran off he finally found him. The boy ran into a forest a mile or two from the village, until he was exhausted . What shocked him was that the boy was holding an "object". This object had the biggest concentration of that presence he felt!
It dwarfed the old man's presence by infinity! He knew he had to get this in his hand if he wanted to have a better chance in this world! He couldn't let the boy have it. The boy had murder in his eyes promising nothing but suffering for his enemies.
Such a cruel person shouldn't hold such power, or else it would lead to nothing but people's sufferment just like the British. The British practically enslaved the colonies and took their voice because they held the power! Of course the colonies fought back and formed the U.S.A.
He wouldn't allow such an object to land on the wrong hands. He walked up to the unsuspecting boy. The boy didn't even hear a thing. Then he summoned D4C.
He made it a quick death. Even if the boy held such maliciousness, he still hadn't done anything horrible yet. He hid the body in D4C and took the object.
This object was just a gem. It was a dark gem blacker than anything he's ever seen before. The presence that was so concentrated inside the gem was still gaining more presence inside of it!
It seems like it was sucking the presence out of anything that came in contact with it, like the air. What if it touched a person? It was touching him, but instead of absorbing the presence he had, it was giving some to him. It wasn't a large amount, but a very small pebble of the mountain range of presence it had.
He decided to keep it in his pocket before deciding to go back to the village again. As he was walking he heard some running coming towards him through the trees. A girl appeared in front of him from the village, but surprisingly she wasn't exhausted at all. She wasn't even visibly tired!
She looked at him with some suspicion in her eyes critically looking at him. She asked him, "Who are you?". She held a calm, but threatening voice not found in teenagers.
He could tell immediately she was the paranoid type. She was tense and already had her hands on her weapon. It was a normal sword that he saw some of the armored villagers carry. It seemed like she was in a rush.
She was probably searching for the boy. She asked the same question again, not showing any signs of impatience. He then introduced himself.
