Letter 3: Cider

»»———— 🍁 ————««

Again, Greetings Aki!

I don't know how many letters will I write but here comes the 3rd letter.

I just realized, I did not tell you what I dreamed of yesterday. I remembered cuz I dreamt of it once again. I must really be missing the old days so much.

The dream was when after your 18th birthday, you had the audacity to drag me to a bar because you want to try drinking but your mom wouldn't allow you, it played in my dream how it exactly happened 12 years ago. YOU REALLY HAD TO DRAG ME INTO THAT hahaha. You really know I love spoiling both you and your sister that's why I gave in, despite your mom scolding me for doing that. I would never forget that moment. Let me tell you again what happened from the start of the day to the end.

The very moment I opened my eyes that morning, you were lying down beside me while using your phone. I was shocked because it has been 5 years since I last saw you in my room. You were humming very softly and it's funny how your eyes literally sparkled when you noticed I woke up. That moment, I knew you were up to something.

You dragged me out of my bed and kept told me to take a bath immediately. I was really rattled you know. Especially, the moment I got out of the bath, you prepared my clothes on the bed. That moment, I was certain you really want me to go somewhere with you and there is no way you are letting me say no. AND... I was right.

So that morning, you dragged me to that bar, and to note, IT WAS OUT OF TOWN. That was what you were searching for on your phone when I was sleeping. It was funny how a 38-year-old man was dragged by an 18-year-old kid out of town to go drinking. You really insisted to do it out of town because you didn't want to be caught by anyone (Not knowing we would still be caught anyway)

So we went to this Cozy Bar, what was it called again. I forgot but it was something with Cider in its name cuz they serve mostly Cider because it was their specialty. So yes, that was what we bought, despite spoiling you, I didn't want to get in trouble by accidentally making you drunk so I limited your consumption. AND I DON'T WANT A DRUNK DRIVER.

After a mug of Cider, I saw the disappointment on your face and I was right. When we were about to go home, you told me how at first you got excited but it was pretty much nothing like how your friends at school said (who are underage but already drink alcohol, I should have whooped their asses. KIDDING!)

It was supposed to be the end but little did I know we had made a terrible mistake. You got too excited to leave to the point we forgot to fill up the gas and got stuck in the middle of our travel. It was the most stressful time of my life. I had to call your mom and tell her we went out of town (but of course I didn't tell about you dragging me to drink) and when I told her about our situation. She got mad at me for not being a responsible adult. She scolded me through the phone you know, and I can hear your dad laughing at me. The humiliation... MY GOODNESS.

I'm almost out of space. I would love to continue the story. But I guess I'll just continue this tomorrow and I'll probably clean outside. The trees are starting to change colors. Your month is near once again. I miss you Autumn
