"What happened?" I found myself stuck with the same question that never been answered. "Nothing. I wanted to check up on you. Tell me the mysterious creature.....who is he?" I looked around the dark room I found myself in only to find Nina sitting down across from me. I recognized this dark room. "How about you answer mine first." "Hhahahhahaha, you've gotten bold. Be patient, I will answer all your questions. You just need to answer mine first." She stood up gesturing that I follow her. I stood up and played follow the leader. "I've figured out what this place is. And why it connects us." Nina then waved her hand in a swift movement. As though on cue images of her in my world paved through. I saw her live as me and change how other's saw me. Fear was a common use for her. "Why would you kill them?" I asked disgusted with her. "I was asked to kill them in order to clear your debt. Why do you give shame to me?" I looked at her and saw how utterly confused she was. "Because, he didn't ask for you to kill them. He asked for you to scare them into never bothering him." "What! That detail was not clear. If he wanted to scare them into submission why didn't he just use violence against them? Instead he called a hit." I smacked my head. It makes sense that Ann is her friend. "Because that's how humans are. We don't care enough to order a hit for something like that. Moving on, do you know what is going on with me?" "How am I supposed to know when you're not showing me?" Nina made a small gesture indicating that I should do that too. I made the gesture thinking how will this help. I watched as my recent endeavor played across our faces. "I see....what's the problem?" Nina smiled as she took a power pose. "The problem is that I killed three people in one day. And what gets me the most is the urges. What's with the urges?" I threw a worried look. "Not to worry, it's just my magic controlling you." She gave a nonchalant answer. I knew she wouldn't care much for it. Yet, I had thought for a split second she would be concerned. "Listen, the more you fight it the worse it's going to get. I can offer a relief plan....but it's a temporary fix." She then placed her hand above my head. "Close your eyes." She said as she pushed me down. I opened my eyes to discover I was in my room. "How?" I got up and looked around. Some things have changed. My bed sheet was dark purple instead of light blue. And my desk had disappeared. A small night stand stood in it's place. I guess Nina didn't like how I kept my room. I got up and walked to the kitchen. The living room is connected to the kitchen so it makes it easier to just lounge around in the same area. I grab a bottle of water and drink. I then blinked and rubbed my eyes. I must be seeing things. I thought to myself. I looked away then looked back to my living room. There, sitting on my couch, a man with a striking resemblance to Kevin. I didn't think twice. I opened a draw and grabbed a kitchen knife. "Who are you?!" I raised my voice. "Seriously." He threw me a nonchalant face. As if the knife didn't scare him. "Put the knife down your gonna get hurt." He got up and began walking over to me. "Stay back! I will stab you!" I backed away slowly. "Nina, what's wrong? You're acting strange." He stopped moving to let me know he meant no harm. "You said my name? Did we....are we....?" She didn't mention any boyfriends or buddies. "No, God no! Did you really lose your memory of me. I'm Dan. Let's start there." Dan said as he stretched out his hand asking for the knife. I lowered the knife expecting to raise it again. "Dan.....you, me, what exactly are we?" I raised the knife again. I walked slowly towards him. "Partners." Short and simple, I stared directly into his eyes. Partners? For what? "Sit down." I demanded he backed away slowly and took a seat on the couch where I first found him. "Explain." Again I demanded. I kept the knife held up to the level of my neck whilst keeping it an arms length away. "So it seems she discovered something she wasn't supposed to." Dan chuckled. I studied him as I kept my distance. "Let me explain. But first, you must be the Nina of this world. The human Nina, which means.....that damn nymph! She escaped me." Dan started laughing hysterically now. It was daunting watching him laugh like a maniac. "Stop it!" I yelled. "Oops, sorry sorry. You must be scared and confused. After all you're only human." He smiled as he looked down on me. I felt myself shrink as he talked to me. No, I don't want this feeling. Not again. I rushed in and swung the knife low to cut him, to scare him. "Don't think I'll tolerate your disrespect just because I'm a bit confused." I spoke sternly gathering my strength and remembering how it felt like to be respected. "I guess Nina is still Nina. Ok you win, I'll explain." He paused to clear his throat. "Nina, the body your in is yours, but not yours. The only reason why you are able to have control over it is because it was already connected to you. You see-" "I KNOW THAT ALREADY." I took a moment to calm down. "Tell me what your doing here. And how you know her....me." I finally sat down. It looked like he wasn't gonna try anything with me. "Oh, have you been keeping contact with your other you. In that case, I'm her pretend boyfriend. A cover as she helps me find my evil twin brother. He must be somewhere here." Dan finished talking. Eh?! Why does that story seem so familiar? Where have I heard it before? Think Nina think. Kevin! "Your twin brother, is he....is he Fortune?" I asked as I put the knife down again. Dan's eyes lit up. An ominous feeling crushed me as the air around me began to suffocate me. "Eh you've seen my brother." Dan now sounded solemn and ready to kill any minute. His voice alone dominated me. I picked up the knife again. That's right Kevin did say he was evil. And wanted to kill him. I messed up, I messed up really bad. I should've kept my mouth shut. "No, Nina....Nina told me about her goal in helping you." I lied to fix my mistake and keep my life. Dan stared at me and the pressure increased. Yet, in a split second it was gone. I could breathe normally and move more freely. "Oh that's why you know of him. Haha, yes that's his name." Dan's serious and murderous vibes vanished. I couldn't feel it at all. I began questioning if it was really there or if I was hallucinating it. "So she told you everything. I see.....so would you like to help me find him too?" Dan smiled. I can see now just how dangerous he was. And why Kevin wants to find him and lock him up. I can't trust him. "So do you have the slightest idea where your long lost brother could be?" I asked knowing I need to make it look like I'm only trying to help. "Yes, somewhere in this area. He's looking for someone I couldn't destr- ehem. Help, that person is the lock that he can use to chain me up for good." Dan got up and went to the kitchen. Wait.....although he didn't mean to say it, I heard him. He definitely knows who I am. But, a lock? That's what I've come down to. A living seal to keep the bad energy locked up. How depressing. "So you think this lock is in the area?" I stumbled on my words. I know for a fact that he could easily kill me. "I don't just know, I'm staring at it." He said then chugged a bottle of water. "As long as you are here, then he will eventually show up." Dan continued. I got up and walked to the glass back door. "So then it's no good staying inside. Don'cha think?" I smiled trying not to sound as nervous as I actually was. "Good idea! I heard there was a party today through the web. A celebratory party for a female student who finally got discharged from the hospital. We should go." Dan walked over to the couch where I was to stretch out his hand. "Yes we should, who knows your brother might show up." I grabbed his hand and let him drag me out of my house. "Great I know some of the kids going there. I'll just shoot them a text." He was nonchalant, and it scared me. Someone as evil as him being nonchalant. How am I supposed to react to this? We waited outside my house for 15 minutes before the kids he texted came. "Hey, Danny boy.....are you sure you wanna bring her as your plus one. I mean I know you're her boyfriend and everything....but...." The driver said. I recognized him from school. He was one of the popular kids. Always nice to everybody, good grades, good at sports and a cute face to boot. He was the type of guy every girl wanted and every boy wanted to be. "How do you guys know each other?" I asked confused how Dan got the interest of this guy. "I owe him one." The driver said as he unlocked his doors. "Yes, and I promise you. Your reputation wont go down for doing this. I'll just say you needed to help a bro out. They wont blame you. It's in your character." Dan sat in the back with me. So he could put his arm around me and have others believe just how close we are. "Okay, you're the boss." The boy said. The ride there was a bit strange. The entire time Dan didn't say a word to his so called friend and vise versa for the boy. It was like he was our personal chauffeur. We all got out of the car and walked up to the house. That's when I realized. This is Britney Camwell's house. From what I can remember the other Nina showed me who she killed and that's it. Since I was so fascinated with going on a murderous spree when we first met. It was her little gift to me. So if it's Britney's party.....was it a close friend of her's that came out of the hospital? The three of us walked up to the door. "Okay, from here you're on your own." In went our driver. I looked at Dan who was holding me tight. "Shall we?" He looked at me waiting for my response. I don't like Britney Camwell at all. But, I know who's more dangerous. "We shall." I braced myself as I went in. It was the first party I had bothered going to. The first party where I couldn't care less about what others thought of me. After being in a whole new world, parties like this seemed trivial. The party looked like the type of parties you see in the movies or shows. Loud music, big house, I bet there's probably an underground pool in the back yard. "I'm gonna go say hi to this poor girl right there by the kitchen." Dan said breaking away from me. "What, why?" I shouted so he could hear me over the loud music bursting through the house. "She's looking too ha- sad." He said then disappeared into the crowd. That's when it dawned on me. No one, was next to me. They were all moving away from me. keeping their distance. "Wow, even at a party as busy as this, people still wouldn't come close to me. "At least I had the advantage of free space and moving about the house faster than anyone else. I looked around and in the main living room I saw her. Britney Camwell, her arm was in a cast and she was wear a neck brace. Who did that to her? Who would have the gal to do that to the most popular girl in school? I moved closer to hear the conversation circling around her. "I can't believe she would do this to you?" One of her followers commented. "I can, she's a thug. In and out of prison. Just didn't know she would pick on you." The other follower said. I knew instantly who they were talking about. Me! I'm surprised that Nina did that to her. Was she out for revenge? "I know right, and I was just minding my business not bothering anyone." Britney cried. Wow what a show she's putting on. If anyone could give her an Oscar for best fake tears, now would be the time. "HA! I was there. You were picking on her again." A girl dressed in jeans, tank top with a sweater on broke into the conversation laughing. "Stacey! now is not the time to try and be politically correct." The first follower defended Britney. "Then when is? Let's face the music. Everyone knows not to pick on anyone who's done time. Yet, Britney here thought she was big, bad, and tough. Knowing that the chic didn't want to go back to juvie. But there's only so much a person can take. I say you deserved it." Stacey spoke out. I never thought anyone would stand up for me. Let alone try to see things from my point of view. "Maybe, but who knows when you want something done for you, I wonder who'll help you now. You can see yourself out." Britney Camwell said as she gestured to the door. That's when they saw me. I was in the direction of the front door. "OMIGOD! What are you doing here?! Did you come to finish me off?!" Britney was now crying real tears. I could tell because she couldn't get up. "Ha, as a matter of fact I did." I joked around. I then walked up to her letting her see me clearly. "You're....you're.....not sup.....supposed to.....be here." She mustered through her fear. Wow Nina really did a number on her. "Oh all of a sudden I'm not you're beloved friend? What changed? Was the leaving me beaten half to death in the creepy forest not what you wanted. God knows how I managed to survive. Oh wait, it wasn't that. No why would it be that. Does it have something to do with why you're all wrapped up?" I mocked her. Now I'm having fun. "Hey, why don't we forget it ever happened and move on?" I chuckled knowing she was too scared to even think. "By the way, I still haven't gotten to say thank you to you two either. You know it took three of you." I held up three fingers and smiled. The other two looked at each other, then back to me. Although, there was loud music frivolously playing. I knew everyone around me heard what I was saying. It was like it was quiet in this little space of mine. "Wait, she did what? AYO CUT THE MUSIC!" Stacey yelled at the student who was in charge of the music. He stopped playing the music and the attention of the party shifted to me and Stacey. "Aight, y'all know how Britney was always a mean bitch right." Stacey yelled loud enough so everyone could hear. "Well, turns out her and her goons took it a little further than just being mean girls. They took Prison girl to the creepy forest and jumped her. Then left her out there to die. What do y'all say to that?" She finished her explanation. "Straight up, not cool. Yo I swear that's where my four homies ended up getting lost." Someone in the crowd shouted back. I looked at the ground because I knew what the fate of those four "homies" he spoke of was. "So we gonna entertain this, or are we gonna dip to the after party at Prison girl's place?" Stacey enticed them. After hearing the crowd roar people began to scatter taking the drinks, the drugs, even the drunk people got up and walked out. "I wanna know who'll do anything for you now." Stacey smiled as she said her last words. I had nothing but admiration for Stacey. She looked cool taking control of the party like that. "What? Where are you guys going? Tammy, Jamie go get them back." Britney demanded. I stood in front of them. "Well should I say thank you now?" I laughed knowing they wouldn't dare move. "No need, we're sorry." They stayed where they were and didn't even bother trying to convince anyone to stay. "I...I....." "Save it, I don't wanna hear it." I interrupted Britney. Getting pay back felt amazing. socially she was done. No longer the popular girl. Just the girl everyone hates now. I turned my back and took a couple of steps before turning my head to say one more thing. "Now you get to taste your own medicine." And with that I left. Looking for Dan was the hard part. Everyone was also trying to get my address so I had to push them aside. "Hey, prison girl. HEY!" I stopped in my tracks to address the person calling me. It was Stacey. "Look here's the deal, we raided the place and took her parents stash. and we just need a place to go to keep the party rolling. So...." Stacey looked at me practically begging for my address. "You know I like your style." I smiled as I gave her directions to the park near my house. "Didn't know you lived in a house. I'll see you there." Stacey left and band of people followed her. I can see her becoming the new cool popular girl of the school. "There you are. Do you have any idea what laying low means? Because of you I couldn't do anything. Do you know what it's like not being able to do the one thing you're good at. So many soon to be victims just slipped through my finger tips." Dan was angry. I didn't know what he was talking about but I decided that I wouldn't accept any disrespect anymore. "Shut up. I don't care about your hobby or your personal play time." "And who do you think you are?" He looked me up and down trying to instill fear in me. "I know for a fact that I'm Nina. Someone you can't hurt." I spat in his face. Dan moved back a bit shocked from my response. "Now come on, the party isn't over." I smiled knowing I had the upper hand.
