Centaur. Must hide from the centaur.

Piper led me to the Big House. We stopped in front of the doors. It was getting dark. Cold breeze blew.

I looked around nervously. I did not want to meet Chiron.

"Nervous?" Piper asked as if reading my thoughts. "Chiron will explain everything to you. And trust me you'll feel a lot better once you see the orientation film." I noticed her putting charmspeak in her words. I knew she just wanted to comfort me. But little did she know, she couldn't charmspeak me. After all I was a goddess in disguise. Yet I pretended to be convinced.

But that wasn't the reason for me to be nervous. The thing was that Chiron knew me. He knew me as a goddess. I was afraid he'd recognize me over the disguise.

A voice behind me said, "Hello!"

I jumped.

I turned around to face the centaur.

He had a warm smile on his face. I smiled too. But on the inside, I was freaking out.

"It's chilling out here. Let's go in, shall we?"

He gestured Piper and me to follow him.

The big house was really warm. The odour of freshly baked cookies diffused well in the room.

We sat at the ping pong table. Chiron went to the hearth and lit it. Then he picked up a bowl of cookies and doughnuts and joined us. "So, what is your name, child?" Chiron started.

"Delilah" I said.

"Very well... Named after the goddess Delilah?" He smiled, placing the bowl on the ping pong table.

I laughed nervously.

"Do you know about the Gods? Do you know who Goddess Delilah is?" He continued.

I nodded. "I think she is a Greek Goddess... Also known as the Thirteenth Olympian. And..." I tried listing the obvious. I had no choice, than to act all foolish. And pretend that I didn't know much about Greek mythology. It was so difficult to lie with Chiron staring right into my eyes. I wanted to scream 'YES I'M THE GODDESS DELILAH HERSELF.' But I didn't come this far to surrender.

There was a long pause. Chiron broke the silence. "So you know about the gods. Very well.

Have you found out your powers, yet?"

I did not quite know about my powers as a goddess either. Everyday I'd discover new stuff about myself. Now what was I supposed to tell Chiron.

He must have noticed the look of confusion on my face. "Don't worry," he said. "We'll find out soon. Uhm... You must be thirteen, right?"

I looked thirteen? But I disguised myself to look fourteen!

"Yes," I confirmed anyway.

"Have you not been claimed yet?"

I remembered the day I was born. It was a really boring day up at Olympus. So, Hecate fetched out a huge witches' pot out of nowhere and the Olympians just randomly started putting small chunks of their divine powers into the pot. Athena put knowledge and wisdom, Poseidon offered control over water, Aphrodite gave beauty, and so on. Hecate then chanted some things and POOF! The pot disappeared and a little me lay on the floor, where the pot had been earlier.

At first the gods were afraid I'd grow into a very powerful and dangerous goddess, since I had all the powers. But as I grew older, they realized that I was no threat.

Only Hades did not contribute anything, as he did not know about this activity going on. But I'm sure he would have participated very enthusiastically if he'd known.

Yet Uncle Hades did not hold any grudges against me. In fact, whenever I get bored I go to the underworld and hang out with the souls. Sometimes, I'd luckily find Nico di Angelo there. We'd play together all day long.

The Underworld was the only place Father Zeus allowed me to visit. Other than that he never let me leave Olympus.

Chiron tapped on the table. "Delilah, do you remember being claimed?" He looked into my eyes.

I looked away. "No."

"Alright!" He stood up. Don't you worry. You'll probably get claimed by campfire." He smiled.

The campfire! No I can't miss that, I thought. Maybe I can stay until midnight.

The Athena part of me yelled, 'Athena doesn't approve!' I didn't listen.

"There's still time for campfire though. Piper, why don't you show Delilah around camp till then," Chiron said.

"I don't know. Leo wanted to show me some of his new inventions. And I have already delayed him twice before," Piper said.

"In that case..."

SLAM!

The door flew open. Cold breeze blew in.

A dark haired boy came rushing in with a Pegasus by his side.

My eyes widened to their fullest. He was Percy Jackson! I tried to breathe, but it felt like my divine lungs had failed me. I could've totally passed out, except Gods can't do that.

"Chiron! Please tell Blackjack to stay away from me!" Percy yelled.

Blackjack, the Pegasus, whinnied loudly.

Chiron sighed and took a seat. "Alright alright what happened now?" He asked calmly.

The pegasus whinnied. Percy gasped loudly. "He's lying!"

Blackjack neighed softly. Percy gasped again, "No. You are a loser."

Chiron sighed. "This will go on forever. Piper, you should go. Leo would be waiting for you."

"Okay!"

"And Blackjack, why don't you fly around for a while. The weather is so good today!"

The weather was horrible. But when Chiron said good, I almost believed him.

Blackjack galloped past Percy. Both of them glared at each other till out of sight.

"And Percy, please show Delilah around camp," he added.

Percy walked towards me. I forgot to breathe.

"Hi. I'm Percy Jackson. Follow me!"
