Yayyy campfire! Oh wait... Noooooooooooo

We walked out of the big house. I made a mental note to tell Hephaestus how bad his TV portrayed the demigods. Seriously, Percy looked a lot more intimidating in reality than on screen.

I walked two steps behind him.

The breeze was tough. The campers were still practicing as if the weather didn't bother them.

"So, this is where we do sword practice. And that's..."

I was totally not interested in touring the camp. I already knew everything! Literally every little detail of Camp Half Blood.

But here's a pro tip: When Percy Jackson is your tour guide... Gee! Do I even have to finish this statement? *wink* *wink*

"And here's the camp store. You can get yourself some camp tees later.

Those over there are the cabins. Umm... Who's your godly parent?" He faced me.

"I don't know," I shrugged.

"Then you get to stay in the Hermes cabin, until you are claimed."

A hard wave of wind hit us, making me lose balance. A piece of newspaper slapped Percy in the face. He didn't even flinch. "Ah, it sure is a windy day!" He exclaimed, grabbing the newspaper. "Someone must have made Zeus really angry," he chuckled.

I laughed nervously.

"How about we finish this tour later?"

"Sure!"

Everyone had gathered at the dining pavilion for dinner. I did not eat. Gods don't eat mortal food. We only eat Ambrosia and Nectar. And, I couldn't eat that in front of the half-bloods. So I just kind of waited till it was time for campfire, which was also my cue to leave.

All the campers circled around the campfire. Demigods were chatting and gossiping all around. The mortals' life was so simple and short. I was jealous (is a statement I never thought I'd say). The fire made the scene even warmer. The weather wasn't windy anymore.

Percy came over and stood next to me.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Leo Valdez walking with Piper. They were discussing determinedly about something.

Speaking of Leo, he has been my idol ever since Apollo showed me his Valdezinator. It was pretty cool. And I am so dumb with machines really! Even with those craftsmanship skills I inherited from my father Hephaestus, I can't make anything! So the least I can do is be jealous of Leo's skills (is another statement I never thought I'd say; but sadly that's the truth).

They passed by us. "And what about Mikey the wonder mirror? Is it good enough to gift to Calypso?" Leo asked.

"Please don't. Seriously for Aphrodite's sake, it speaks more than it is supposed to," Piper replied.

"Oh come on! It is my favourite one out of all the others."

"Trust me, she'll---"

They continued as they walked away.

Chiron stepped up and hushed everyone.

He announced, "So, today there isn't any news as such. Well. We do have a new camper with us though. Everyone... this is Delilah." He pointed at me.

Not sure what to do, I bowed. The campers cheered quite unenthusiastically. Some whispers spread across the crowd. I heard one say, 'Asian'. Heck, I wasn't Asian! I'm more Greek than you'll ever be random judgmental demigod! Bowing is a thing I was taught by Hestia. She said that bowing was to show respect for the person in front. And everybody in this world should be respected. Even if I did not mean to bow here, it quite involuntarily came out.

"And also Mr. D is coming back tomorrow morning," Chiron announced.

The crowd groaned even more on that. For me, I thought it was cool that father Dionysus was coming to camp after I'd be long gone. So I had no problem.

I leaned in towards Percy. "What's with the groaning?" I mouthed.

"You'll know when you meet him!" He smirked.

I guess nobody likes the wine guy.

From somewhere I didn't notice, a blonde muscular guy came running towards me. I choked. It was Jason Grace! And... He was running towards me. I wanted to die before he'd approach me and I'd end up doing something dumb; so in the end this small trip to camp as a whole would just become a very embarrassing memory to me for the rest of eternity.

He came closer and closer. My divine heart beat faster and faster. He ran past me and approached Percy. For a moment I did not know if I was disappointed or relieved. I gulped my feelings away.

Jason whispered something in Percy's ear, smirked and rushed towards Chiron. Percy was left dumbfounded.

"No way! Bro... You're kidding, right?" Percy croaked.

Jason muttered something into Chiron's ear too. The crowd went silent. Chiron made concerned expressions. He looked at Percy who was already scowling at them. Jason and Chiron shared looks.

Chiron walked in the centre of the circle of campers. He announced, "Ahem. So... Jason has brought us the prophecy Rachel foretold earlier today."

"She said that the spirit of Delphi possessed her while at school," Jason stepped up. "She wrote it down, of course. About the green smoke though, she said she'll make up something to fool the mortal teachers. Also---"

Someone from the crowd spoke up, "Blah blah... Tell us the freakin' prophecy, already!"

"Yeah, I was coming to that Travis.

So it goes like this:

The children of the sea God

Shall fight all odds

To calm the God who has it lost

Find the one who didn't die

And be different than a lie."
