Protect me. Don't

Ralia watched the trees as they drove past them in a police car. They couldn't follow the ambulance anymore because the officer had to speak with Ralia, so they missed it and had to follow the officers who were ready to leave.

She and Edna stayed at the back seats while two other cops stayed at the front, talking but Ralia's attention wasn't really centered on their discussion. She had more important thingsbto be worried about than mere cop talk. Edna's face was fixed on the other side of the car, staring at the open space. She was initially angry with Ralia because she asked to know what the bofficer that stopped Ralia wanted but she refused to say a word about it. She didn't expect her to understand either, she just didn't want her involved in something else almost immediately after she got rescued. This was up to Ralia to figure out alone and leave Edna out of it.
