Volca walked towards her room. She asked the maid in there cleaning leave her room and asked her to not disturb her for a while until dinner time. She looked at her bed and soon folded her quilt before her mother would start begging seeing them. She quickly cleaned the room, arranged her study and cleaned the shelves arranging the books, parchements and quills and ink stone to grind ink. She then looked at herself and quickly changed her dress into school uniform to get back before Master Bo Hai find her gone missing for long. She put on the white and red clothes she was given and packed her bags to take along with her. She had promised her best friend Aqua to present her with some cakes she made herself. Volca remembered that and packed the flower cakes she prepared herself first thing in the morning.
Someone knocked on the door at the same time. "Come in," she said and sat down on the bed, pretending to read something holding some parchment. And as expected, it was her mother.
Fiona is the strongest Army head in the Demon Realm, the Right hand of King Dritan, trusted and given all the permissions to walk around the Demon castle since King Dritan was indebted to her. Fiona always remembered to take advantage of that and exploit her power, utilising every single thing in the castle making sure she got the shares. From food, clothes, grains, and maids. She used everything and live in the back castle close to the main castle.
The day when Demon King Dritan broke off his engagement with Fiona, the woman who spent her life loving him, he only made one promise. It was that he will forever support her financially. And he did them, he kept his words and he provided a luxury life to the lady and her daughter. Until now, nothing has changed. But still Volca had suffered known the value of what it is like to be short of gold and silver pieces since her mother would never ever let her spend, nor buy her anything thing except when Dritan would offer her something too precious like the Tiara now Volca has, and the robes he got for her seeing how she had grown into a woman in few thousand years.
Volca looked up at her mother's face. "What?" she asked.
"Why are you still here?" Fiona asked.
"I am leaving, I just want to finish reading this," she said and got up keeping the parchment aside.
"I didn't take all the pain and made sure you got enrolled in Bo Hai's school for you to become studious and a topped there, we have goals," Fiona started telling her daughter.
"Your goal you mean," Volca corrected her mother coldly.
"How dare you say that? Has anything been my goal without having you in it,"
"Mother, I just joined school and got to know the fellow students, I cannot flip the coin and show what kind of deceiving Demoness am straight away," Fiona looked shocked and stared at her daughter.
