Chapter 19 Little Things !

The green painted small bus arrived at the bus stop. Grandma led her into the bus and helped her with the luggage. She also paid for Volca along with her. There were only individuals seats left in the bus. Grandma took and Volca sat on the other next to the window and looking outside the village. The view was too beautiful to even blink the eyes. She looked around and enjoyed every moment and every scene that caught her eyes. The stream flowing, the mustard fields one side, the lavender field on the other side, the ponds, a small river and canals used for irrigation, to supply water for the farms. The mountains breaking though clouds and the blue sky going way up. She smiled st the sight. It was pretty hot outside, with the sun shining bright above their head. After half an hour worth journey, Volca started to see less of farm and many houses and shops coming on the sides of the road. "Oh yes," she said and waited eagerly to reach the town.

"We have almost reached the place sweetie, keeps your bags ready, we will get down in bus hub," Grandma informed her. And with in few minutes they took a turn went down the hill taking two to three hairpin bends on the way down and went forward again for another five minutes and the bus reached a station that had many other buses. Volca was astonished to see the vehicles. This being the first time coming to earth, it was nothing like she had imagined nor told about. It was nothing like how few people including her mother described about the city life. And she realised she is not in the city at all.

Within few seconds, the bus stopped and parked in a corner of the station for people to get down. Volca waited for everyone to step out and got out in the end with grandma with her huge luggage.

"Slowly dear," Grandma said and helped her while getting down. "Are you tired?" she asked Volca

"Am fine," Volca replied back smiling a little feeling comfortable with the old lady.

"You can call me nanna if you want to, we might see each other often," old lady said to her. "My name is Carie," Volca smiled at her.

"I don't know my name yet," Volca lied deciding to put up with her new image and maintaining her amnesia since she had lied at the hospital about not remembering a thing.

"Are you thirsty? Let's drink something and look for the house, shall we? This is your first time here, let me treat you to a special drink," Nanna offered her and took her to a shop nearby. A small cafe with so much of antique collections. There was a bone head of a buffalo hung on the wall, a deer along and reminded her of the court room of Demon's Castle. It ached her heart all of a sudden. Volca quickly turned her head away from it and sat away from it to not get a sight of it.

"What do you want to drink?" Nanna asked her.

"I don't know," Volca said shyly since she had no idea about food except the hospital meals she received.

"How about we drink and have some tender coconut? It is very healthy for the body, will cool us down in the heat," Nanna said and ordered two sets of tender coconut. The waiters with in seconds brought two sets of coconut water to drink and some really soft and tender fruit along to eat with it. It was too refreshing and instantly made Volca feel good and energetic.

"It is a natural goes if you can't do not anything about it," Nanna said.

"It tastes good, I agree," Volca said and smiled. She started enjoying every single minute she spent in the village.
