Chapter 24

Even when Volca lived her life as Hara, enjoying gardening, there was something she missed doing.

When you are good at something never do it for free. And when you are too good at something, try not to quit them too. Maybe it could be that special thing that might heal you, keep you entertained and tell you who you really are. They are hobbies, the skills and the talents you have inside you, born along with you. It can never be buried. Some choose to make it a profession while some like to keep it as a hobby forever.

Volca missed baking, only thing she did to pass time whole she was not learning sword techniques and practicing spells. She missed the way she would wait, feeling eager and hoping it would come out well, she missed giving them to the people she adored. When she watched dramas while she was at the hospital she saw dramas and reality shows that had baking and it did look different, the ingredients but the method was same. Her heart leaped over desserts whenever she set her eyes on them while she accompanied Jiah for grocery shopping in supermarkets and bakers.

Volca recharged for internet packs and started watching online videos of baking and learned everything very quickly. She started experimenting different cakes as she saw in the videos, some went bad while some turned too good. Volca learned to do frosting and do fondant cakes. She also started learning to bake muffins and as well as brownies.

One weekend, when Nanna visited, Volca walked downstairs with her Vanilla cupcakes and a chocolate mousse for them. "Is this what you have been doing disappearing for the whole day shutting yourself in?" Jiah was surprised to see Volca's baking. Nanna took a bite and fell in love with it.

"Jiah try it, it's too good, I can't remember the last time u had such a wonderful cake," Nanna said as she kept eating them. Volca was excited and happy to have gotten compliments and appreciation for her secret skill.

"You're great, this cake tastes great, the mousse too, too good, really, baking is not meant for everyone, but you did it, wow," Jiah kept saying as she ate one after the other. "Yummmm..." she kept making yummy noises. Volca laughed watching Jiah enjoying her cakes and felt really happy. "You know what, you should do it, you should do more, you should run a business, " Jiah gave Volca an idea to make extra cash during her free time in weekends.

"What?" Volca did not get her.

"Business, you can do business on the side as part time and see how it goes," Jiah got all excited. "When it clicks, you can even do it full time make huge profits and make turn overs and even start a bakery," Jiah started giving sky high plans to Volca who had no idea about Jiah was talking about. "Hara listen, you bake cakes like this and we will try to sell them through the connections and let's see how people react. If we get positive reviews we will increase quantity little by little. Just for weekends, no other days. once sales doubles, you can start taking orders, for special occasions, then with the money you make, open a small pastry shop and run it, you will make a wonderful life, happy and get to do what you love, slowly and steadily, it will take time,"

Volca took a deep breath and had no idea what got into her. "I'm in, I wanna try that," she said. "Will I have to face anything? I don't want loss, for you,"

"We will have no loss, don't waste your talent, people should appreciate you," Jiah patted Volca's shoulder and encouraged her. "What say mom?"

"I don't know, you girls do whatever," Nanna said laughing.

"Wish us mom," Jiah said. "Bring us customers, some of your old friends,"

"Diabetic people for pastries? I can do that! Sell some insulin along or have an ambulance ready for emergency, " Nanna said and everybody bursted out laughing.

"No Nanna," Volca said and her words got lost while laughing hard.

Women of three generations enjoyed the sunday evening wonderfully and decided to take a walk around street as twilight hit the town. People got out of their house for evening strolls and everybody was enjoying their free times with their loved one. Volca walked holding Nanna's hands and she enjoyed every moment she spent with them. The shops were crowded, especially the hotels and and food courts.

"You see Hara, that's how we should become, our town does not have a shop for pastries alone, we might hit it big," Jiah encouraged well. Volca kept all the information stored in her brain. The three stood in the beach, watching the sunset while the wind passed htitng them softly.

'Life has never been so peaceful over the thousands of years,' Volca thought inside her head. 'I wish this moment stays longer,' she looked at Nanna and Jiah who support her wholeheartedly and smiled wide. 'Aqua,' she said. 'I miss us,' The sun went down the sky into the water saying a goodbye to everyone until next day. The night fell and the stars were shining bright in the clear skies. The full moon hid behind few clouds often. Volca stood for some more time, sky gazing, one thing she always loved and returned back with the ladies.
