Chapter 36

Auran waited at the restaurant downstairs for his mother and the girl. He was worried. He sat thinking, tapping his fingers on the table, and drinking water. "Why is she at my home?" What does she want? I can say she is not human, but she looks nothing like a mutant or any animal, " he kept talking inside his head. "Why is she famous ? Don't people see it? Is she under disguise? Yeah but she does look pretty I have to agree on that fact. Why her?" he couldn't stop his thoughts at all.

Few minutes later he saw Volca walking towards the table along with his mother. He watched her walk towards them. He found nothing unusual. She had changed into a dark blue skinny mid rise Jean and a white crop top showing off her navel a little. He took his eyes off her and drank half the glass of water. "Wah," he said and changed his thoughts.

"Did we make you wait long?" his mother asked him.

"No no, it's fine mom, sit down," he said to Jiah.

"Let's order am starving," Jiah said.

"Three course meal, steak night," Auran suggested and looked Volca asking her. "Hara?"

"Am fine with any," she said and shrugged looking at Jiah. Volca looked around at the ambience of the restaurant, lit with dim lights and amazing chandeliers. All the tables were reserved. And the staff looked tip top. The floor looked smooth and and reflected back. She liked the fancy place instantly. The fresh red roses kept everywhere looked beautiful.

"Let's order that," Jiah said and called for a waiter. Auran made the order and asked for a fine wine. In few minutes, the waiter came with a bottle of wine and poured three glasses. Volca had experience drinking them couple of times with Jiah. Nanna making them personally. Grape, gooseberry and rose wine.

"Try this, it's a very old wine, the older it is, the better it tastes, the more it costs," Jiah educated Volca. Auran sat there observing Volca carefully, sipping his wine. She often licked her plum red rosy lips. And he would look away every time she did that. She looked nothing like the scary form of a devil he saw before. 'Am I mistaken, is it really her?' he wondered. The steak arrived for three.

Volca looked at the plate in wonder. A piece of meat, few vegetables, some sauce and greens. She looked at Auran and Jiah and gave an uneasy smile. She sure has no idea how to have the meal using the knife and the fork for sure. Auran smiled looking down and kept his wine glass back.

Jiah helped Volca slice the steak into pieces and handed her the plate. But to Volca the meat was not enough. She had them slowly. The meat was cooked well and tasted good had along with the sauce and the veggies. She had them listening to the conversation between mother and son talking about his studies. He said nothing about photography though. Which made Volca wonder if he is the person she saw when she fainted and heard him for sometime while she was unconscious.

"The company is great, their work culture, bosses are friendly and open minded, and how we interns are treated there, especially their cafeteria mom. Just wow. The meal sets are good," they carried on with the conversation and sat there comfortably.
