The Gathering

"We are going to be unstoppable," Triaa squealed as I took in the clothes she had forced on me.

"We were supposed to go to the mead hall then leave. Why do I have to dress like this," I complained.

"You are this pack's Luna/Freya. You can't be dressing like a stray," Triaa chided as she stood behind me patting my shoulders.

I groaned before looking at myself in the mirror.

Once again, I didn't really recognize the girl staring back at me.

The top she wore was of dark deer hide that cupped both of her breasts perfectly. The hem on the top was lined in soft fur while over the breasts themselves, a line of bear canines were attached to each bosom loosely.

The top left her entire midsection exposed save face for the extremely thin, loose soft leather strips that hung carelessly and wrapped around the flesh inches above her navel, one canine per strip.

Around her hips rested a leathered skirt, 'shredded' on the sides. In the front and back, an intact leather piece hung over her core and rump keeping her from being fully exposed while around the waistband, fur lined the material. On each side of the skirt, lined perfectly with her hips, was the skull of a small animal.

Looking further south, she wore skinned shoes as her legs from ankle to under the knee were wrapped in fur 'protection'.

Scanning back up, her eyes landed on the animal skin and fur bracer that was securely wrapped around her right forearm and around her neck, nearly choking her, was a bone necklace that held a lycan canine at its center.

Blinking, I realized the girl in the mirror was me causing me to groan again.

"Are you trying to get me killed," I snipped.

"No. I'm trying to get you deflowered," Triaa responded a bit too happily.

I stared at her, void of all emotion before she dragged me out of the home and into the night.

When we entered the mead hall, it went silent for a moment before music began again and conversations continued.

We squeezed our way through the crowd until we approached a wall lined with wooden mead drums along with a Cuyler and Herlief who leaned casually against one.

When they noticed us, Cuyler shot up straight and stumbled over, slapping a hand down on my shoulder.

"Took you long enough," he boomed. "What kept you?"

"Someone thought I wasn't dressed properly thus I had to change," I grumbled causing Triaa to laugh.

Looking me over, Cuyler gave a short whistle before taking his spot beside Herlief, a dangerous twinkle in his eye.

"What is wrong with you now," I asked, rolling my eyes as I snatched Cuyler's newly filled mug and downing its contents.

"Here we go again," I heard Cuyler mutter to Herlief.

"What was that," I questioned as I helped myself to another mug.

Looking at me, he smiled into his drink. "Nothing," was all he said before chugging the bitter liquid.

This continued for awhile before both Cuyler and Triaa linked their arms with mine as we stumbled out of the mead hall and down the cobblestone path, singing at the top of our lungs.

"Oh you can search far and wide!

You can drink the whole town dry

but you'll never find a beer so brown

As the one we drink in our hometown!

You can keep your fancy ales!

You can drink'em by the flagon!

The only brew for the brave and true

comes from the Green Dragon!

Hey! Ho!

To the bottle I go!

To heal my heart and drown my woe!

Rain may fall and wind may blow

but there still be many miles to go!

Sweet is the sound of the pouring pain!

The stream that falls from hill to plain!

Better than rain or rippling brook

is a mug of beer inside this tuk!"

By time we found the bonfire, the others were already seated and engrossed in conversation.

Triaa released her grip and ran past me causing me to stumble into Cuyler as she crashed into Valenner who was seated on a log.

Straightening myself, a growl erupted from my right as Alistair stood staring in our direction. I just stared at him for a moment before pointing.

"Y-you sh-shut up," I stammered as I walked over and plopped down on the ground, resting between his legs.

It didn't take long after that for our group to become blithesome.

Once hushed conversations soon became roaring fits of laughter and shouts about victorious raids, hunts and fights. Valenner and Cuyler ended up sparring which to me, looked like two drunken rams head butting.

Gavrill passed me another mug and by this point I had already lost count of how many I have had before Triaa bounded over and pulled me to my feet.

For a moment, my mind was in a frenzy, the world spun faster than normal and my legs wanted to briefly give way.

I looked around for a second and smiled. Everything seemed like fun but what really caught my attention was when Nebo approached his seat with three drums.

When did he even leave?

He tossed one drum to Herlief and another to Gavrill who ended up tossing it to Valenner as he was sitting down. They started banging on them and chanting and when they did, Triaa and I grinned at each other.

We quickly took our place in front of the fire and began to dance.

We moved in the rhythm of the drums. We advanced, retreated, pirouetted, our arms waving from side to side above our heads and swayed our hips.

I spun and caught Alistair watching every move with a set of black eyes. I felt my canines grow at the sight of him as I flashed him a devilish smile.

I stayed facing the Alistair as the drum beats picked back up, moving my hips more provocatively as I slowly made my way in his direction.

It began to feel more like a mating dance but in that moment, I didn't care as I continued to partially shift; sharpened nails raking down my breasts and side.

When I was directly in front of Alistair I could see my eyes glowing through his, one a beautiful shade of cyan as the other showed brighter than a polished shield.

Alistair stared at me as his body began to shake as he too partially shifted.

What am I doing?

I didn't stop though and as the music neared its end, Gavrill moved which caused Alistair to growl and immediately stand, jerk me up and drape me over his shoulder.

Without saying a word to anyone, he spun and began walking back to his home, a set of claws digging into my side and another set in my inner thigh.

"Have fun," was all Triaa shouted as Alistair and I disappeared into the darkness.
