7 am The Next Morning

*Maz POV*

Waking up early I check my phone to suddenly misses phone calls and left messages from my bestie Jessica.

''OMG isn't this soo cool! I told you Si-fi was real shit!! I've heard they are only recruiting for two days, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow!! - 11:55 Pm

Smiling I now know I have today and tomorrow to get in if I want to. 'I can only go and see what it is surely that isn't bad' I say to myself while quietly getting my smart interview-appropriate clothes on with my short black heeled shoes.

Opening my bedroom door I creep downstairs 'breakfast' I say to myself as I quickly open the cupboard to see breakfast toasties, 'that will do' I say as I grab one and head to the front door. 'Keys, phone, breakfast, and CV in the file.. check' I say to myself as I unlock the door and open it, stepping outside I close the door and lock it. Turning around I start to walk hearing the noise my heels make when hitting the ground 'I sound so professional' I chuckle to myself and head where the scene of newness is, following the signs I suddenly see Jessica standing on a corner of the street.

''Jess'' I yell waving my hand to get her attention what was easy work as Jessica waves back and heads towards me, ''ready?'' I ask seeing Jess has her file with her, ''of course cannot let this opportunity go'' Jess replies to me while nudging me as we walk towards the crowd of people on the left people like me waiting for the next step and on the right protestors with signs saying ''Corruption!! BACK DOWN AND FIGHT!! ''as always one good thing there is always people protesting'' Jess says making my nerves shiver down my spine, ''you sure? It could be a trick'' I ask and I hear Jess laugh ''if they wanted to harm us they would have come in numbers more than this and destroy our planet till we surrender'' she replies as I open up my toastie and start eating it.

As I eat a guy in a white armored suit with black underneath comes towards us, ''name'' its low robotic voice came from the mask making me stare and not reply, I faintly hear Jess giver her name and birthdate but I was fixated by who is the person underneath the mask. I suddenly felt a nudge what fetched me back ''Maz they guy is asking you a question'' Jess says, suddenly blinking my eyes I snap put my trance '' Miss Mazzra Kriman' I reply ''Birth date Miss'' the guy asks '' 18/ 12/ 95'' I reply ''that makes you 24 soon to be 25'' he replies ''that is correct'' I reply as I watch him leave and stand behind us and ask the same questions to the people behind us. ''You went all out of body there Maz'' Jess jokes while we step forward in the line.

''I wonder..'' I was suddenly stopped what I was going to say as the line starts to move and head towards the massive triangle looking spaceship. ''looks like we are going'' Jess says smiling as the crowd begins to hurry, ''but what if we get in and they kidnap us I think I'm going to go'' I reply and turn to my right facing the crowd behind me but before I could move Jess grabbed my arm ''don't be stupid to just and see what it is I am they cannot legally force us to stay'' Jess says making me very unsure with my nerves starting to kick in all I wanted to do is run but I was heading closer to more people in armored suits with what looks like modified guns in their arms, ''Jess but that's our laws, not alien laws'' I reply scared as I clutch onto my file as we head upwards to the spacecraft, it was too late to turn back now.

Suddenly we are in the spacecraft and lined up in single file filling the large room, before I could say anything a familiar voice came through, ''Welcome you all by now know my name, but if not my name is Kronn and I am the Captain of this ship.'' I look at the guy who is high above with his hands behind his back as he continues to talk, take deep breathes I see two people standing behind him in all black similar to the guys in the white armor, ''This is the Adjudicator Star Destroyer, but this is not your work area you all will be trained for a specific job you apply for in the Traning Star Destroyers like the one next to my ship. Women will be trained in Women only Destroyers and men in men only Destroyers, so you can focus fully on your work not get all loved up while working for us.'' Kronn says sternly to a silent crowd, as I look at him I notice he is just like us not alien-like at all. 'was this created by us?' I ask myself filling my mind with questions, now knowing what this spacecraft is called, who he is...

''And lastly, we need you to make our Empire stronger.'' Kronn says and leaves to recruitment area, ''well that's answered a little of my thoughts'' I say to Jess who was still gazing up to where a once standing Mr. Kronn was, smiling I nudge her as I see the lines break apart and head towards areas signed for different jobs. ''Did you get all of that?'' Jess asks making me realize I blanked out on what he was saying, ''nope'' I reply hearing Jess laugh, ''you really need to stop that if you're going to work here, I have a feeling they don't like stuff like that'' Jess replies as I look around and nod my head in agreement. With my heels clicking on the shiny black floor below I make my way to what caught my eye I read the sign again.

Radio Intercom group

''Hello,'' I say to a woman standing behind the table in the same uniform as the other light grey, with a black bet with what looks like a silver buckle and the hat the same light grey. I quickly look around and notice that there are different grey colors. ''It ok you will get to know all the uniforms if you join us'' the woman says to me with a smile, 'she seems friendly' I say to myself as I smile back, ''so you interested in our line of work?'' she asks as I stare at her, ''yes, yes I just wanted to know what it involves'' I ask as I lower my file having a feeling I didn't need to bring it. ''This the Radio Intercom Group, we work on radios like this'' as she talks she shows me what the radio looks like ''looks different to ours'' I say with a chuckle and I hear chuckle back, ''I suppose they are, well we will train you into how to work it and what you will be doing, for instance, it will be radioing incoming Imperial TIE fighters for codes before docking, etc'' She replies while showing a picture of what a TIE fighter looks like. Feeling relaxed I felt myself grow in confidence, ''I like what I hear where do I sign up?'' I ask confidently, ''right here Miss?'' the woman replies ''Oh sorry Kirman, Mazzra Kirman'' I reply as I jot my details in ''nice to meet you Miss Kirman but don't you want to see what else we have in store? We have spaces for Fighter pilots'' She asks making me stop writing and look around, quickly gazing I see where the joining area of fighter pilots is and look back ''no thank you I am happy with this'' I reply and continue to write as I see a smile grow on her face, ''It's lovely to have you with us Miss Kirman I am sure you will enjoy every moment of it. And I haven't introduced myself I am Trainer Mrs. Kurz'' Mrs. Kurz says offering her hand out I put my details on the table and shake her hand, with a smile I say my thank you's and start to leave to go back home to tell my family my decision but first I must find Jessica.

Walking around I see all the guys in the armoured suits standing still, ''are they robots?'' I ask one of the Empires workers hearing a chuckle he replies ''No Ma'am they are Storm Troopers perfectly no robot in them'' making me laugh I turn to look at the guy who replied to me walk away just like he wasn't even there. I walk up to one of these so-called Storm Troopers and wave at one but with my efforts, none but one moved, halfway down the line on Storm Trooper waved back at me, smiling I quickly move up to him, ''Hi'' I say looking at his mask, ''Hi'' he replies ''nice to meet you Ma'am are you joining us?'' he asks 'it has to be a man the voice is of a man' I say to myself curiously ''yes I am, I'm joining the Radio Intercom Group'' I reply and point stupidly to the area where it is, ''you would already know where it is'' I laugh seeing how the trooper made an effort to look where I was pointing, ''I do ma'am but it's ok'' he replies back as he straightens himself up, ''wouldn't you like to join our group?'' He asks ''we have women in our group, hey Steph come say hi'' the trooper suddenly says while this other trooper comes towards us I just gaze in amazement of how comfortable I am, ''Hi I'm Steph'' the female voice through the mask says holding her hand out, I immediately take it ''Hi I'm Maz'' I reply still shaking her hand, ''nice to meet you will you be joining us? '' she asks making me realize what she is asking, ''erm well I just joined the Radio Intercom..'' before I could say anything Steph replies ''It's ok you have a little safer well a more safer job than us, you did the right choice but you can always change whenever.'' I nod my head understanding what she is saying, ''and this idiot who hasn't introduced himself yet is Jake'' Steph says as I look back at the first trooper who welcomed me, ''nice to meet you Jake'' I say offering my hand out and he took it to offer and shook my hand.

''Maz'' I suddenly hear making me turn around, ''this is my friend Jessica she maybe joining the Empire too'' I say but as I say that I see Jess' fae say a different story, ''I'm not joining'' Jess says looking disappointed, I suddenly felt my heart drop with the sudden realization I am going on this adventure alone. ''Oh'' was the only thing I could say, ''Please understand there is nothing here taking my fancy and I can't leave my family let alone planet'' Jess replies putting her arm on my shoulder, ''It's ok we can still be friends and I will make sure we are contactable'' I reply ''ever thought of about joining us troopers?'' Jake asks Jessica making Jess look at him, ''not really no. What is the role?'' Jess asks ''well as I researched it's like your soldiers here on Earth but with this uniform and lasers instead of bullets'' Jake says showing his uniform and gun what turns out to be a laser blaster. ''Erm can I think about it?'' Jess says and I see Jake nod his head.

''Well we better get going home'' I say and wave my goodbye to Steph and Jake, ''I'm sorry'' Jess says, ''it's fine we cannot do everything together'' I reply while wrapping my arms around her giving Jess a hug.''Will you be fine going with them?'' Jess asks me making me take a deep breath, ''I think I will be fine, it's just telling my family what I have done, that's if they haven't noticed I left this morning'' I reply smiling trying to be brave in front of my best friend ''precides the trooper gang looks cool you still have today and tomorrow to think about it'' I say to Jess seeing her smile ''I do.''

The walk back home did not take long and a feeling of tension brushes through the steady wind, I suddenly see my dad open the door, ''you've been there haven't you?'' he asks ''dad please I only went to see what it is'' I reply looking at my dad's angry face I see he did not believe me and sees the paper and ID in my hand, snatching it off me, my dad reads it ''Imperial Radio Intercom Group, so you have joined and this is your ID to get in'' he says angrily, ''please dad'' I plead feeling the tears form in my eyes, ''Let me explain please'' I reply but as soon as I say that he throws my ID and papers on the ground, I quickly bend down and pick them up and follow behind. ''You have a lot to precaution to us to let you go to them'' dad says to me.

''I'll explain everything and tell you why I want to join'' I say to my family sitting at the table it's time for the family briefing.
