A girl was born with cancer. Once she was cured at the age of twelve her hair began to grow back. She keeps one side side shaved to remind herself how lucky she is to have hair growing back and how lucky she is to be alive.
"Dad are you picking up Cindy from school before me today?" I walked into the kitchen with one side of red hair frizzy. "Cause I have soccer practice today, it should end at around seven." I put in some toast and started making two instant oatmeal's.
"Ok sounds good." My Dad went back to finding his car keys. "Good morning." My mom walked in and kissed everyone on the check. "Hey Mom, have you seen my blue jacket?" My sister was wearing her usual bright colors that can outshine the sun.
"It's in the dryer, and pleas tell me your not wearing those shoes to school." I looked down to see her wearing blue converse with ice creams on them. A gift last month for Christmas. "I have to! Or what will I do with them?" She skipped over to me and got her toast. Yup a normal day for us. "Oh I heard your friend Louise was going to watch another one of your games. He seems like a nice kid." Did I forget to mention my parents don't know my Friend is trans. Must have slipped my mind.
