There is three things I really hate. The third on the list was people. It doesn't matter what species they are people suck. I was currently spying on a coven of vampires having a blood party in the woods. They were all decorated in black and pale as the moon it was hard to pick out the leader. Though if I had to hazard a guess it was probably the one handing out the young girls like snack from a party tray. His pale aura was so bright I could see it from half a click away. I could feel my throat burn as I stared. Sick bastards! They're getting off on this. Terrorizing stolen young girls before draining them till their hearts were as dead as theirs. My muscles quivered I would be more than glad to clean up this mess.

Screw Samir. It didn't matter that he was supposed to just be scouting for the Eastern Association. I was capable of handling a group of seven blood drunk vampires. Let's see there's seven of them, two girls still unharmed, and one being drunk from.

I lined up the barrel of my musket aiming for the heart. Where their soul is rumored to be cradled.First I would take out the leader who was holding a brunette like a bottle of wine. Attacking from a distance will draw them away from their prey.

Sam's gonna bitch but, oh well.

My fingers traced the name of his dead sister.

Claire. This is for you.

My finger brushed against the trigger.

BANG!

A rose on the vamp lead's chest blossomed as the young girl dropped to the floor. That's one.

I crouched behind the closest tree to by a few more seconds. They now new my direction but not my position. I dug out another piece of lead from my pocket to reload. I would take out the first one to past the tree I'm hiding.

BANG!

That's two.

I was flung to the ground after a leech tackled me from behind. His cold hand dug into my shoulder as his fangs sought a perch in my neck. I could feel the blood trickle but that was as far as he got before I sprouted wings. My species privilege.

He flipped over my shoulders. He smacked into the ground just inches from my head.

"Ne-nephilim?" he asked. I didn't wait for him to clear his doubt. I grabbed the side of his head digging my fingers into his skin.

Snap!

His head now laid at an awkward angle. A broken neck just as deadly as heart with a hole. I pushed myself up onto my feet as I scoped my surroundings.

There's three.

" A nephilim really? You guys hate to fight!"

I rolled my shoulders as I turned to the voice. Tucking my hands into my pockets I smiled when I caught his eyes. Blood was dripping from his chin. Evidence that he had been feeding.

"Maybe I'm as attracted to blood as you are" I said. I let my eyes linger on his chin.

"Only I like to spill it not drink it."

"Sounds like you've been touched by Zavik" he said.

My fingers found a piece of lead in my pocket. My smile widened, "Maybe. But, the crazy god fucked you."

He lunged. I flicked the piece strait through his chest. From this distance I don't need my musket.

Four down. I turned to the remaining three who have retreated from their attack looking ready to flee. It's common knowledge nephilim can take down five blood suckers easily.

I hit the first one to flee in the back with another piece of lead. Then closing the distance I kicked one in the chest as I grabbed the last one by his throat.

After a few minutes their bodies disintegrated into ash. Something that only bloodsucker bodies did. Only their clothes and my lead pieces remained . The clothes would be burned and the pieces would find their way back to my pocket.

I soon found my self standing in front off two crying girls and the brunette.

I moved slowly as to not spook to two who were up and reached to check the brunette. She was alive and the bleeding had slowed. I pulled some bandages to wrap around all the bite marks I could find.

I paused when I found her staring at me. Her eyes looked just liked his sisters. Haunted.
