Chapter 2: Stressed, Angry, And Upset Alpha

"Get out of the way!" Logan shouted while he pushed a member of the pack and opened the way for himself and his mate to the emergency room of the infirmary.

    Everyone was looking at him with shock but no one dared to ask anything and some of the omegas walked out of the infirmary to announce that his son came back with a new wolf, probably a rough.

    "I demand a doctor to come here!" Logan shouted one more time as he waited for the doctor to show up. "I need a Darkwood! right now!"

    Allen Darkwood, a member of the Darkwood family, is one of the best doctors in the Mist pack and he knew well that when the future Alpha yells like that, there must be some big emergency.

    Allen ran to the room and watched as the nurses tried to calm Logan and made a place for the bleeding boy at the bed.

    Allen quickly walked to the bed and told everyone to bring his surgery equipment. "Who is he and what happened?" While doing his job, Allen asked kindly from the angry and frustrated boy that was standing near the bed.

    Logan couldn't concentrate while his mate was lying on the bed with wolfsbane in his system but he knew he should answer the doctor's question so he explained in a few words. "Mate, wolfsbane."

    Allen didn't say anything else cause he knew how much a mate meant to a werewolf and tried to keep his questions for another time. "Don't worry Logan but we need you to stay out of this room!"

    "Don't you dare!" Logan growled. His eyes were still fixed on his bloody mate with concern. "I will never leave his side so don't you dare tell me to leave!"

    "Logan!" Allen shouted. "If you truly want your mate to be okay you will leave cause you're stopping us from doing our job! The wolfsbane is spreading and if it reaches his heart he will die! Leave!"

    Logan was so stubborn and his wolf, Crimson, too but this wasn't the time to be stubborn. One wrong move and his mate would die. So, he left the room with a frown on his face.

    "What's happening?" The Alpha of the pack, William, Logan's father, came into view with Miranda Logan's mother, on his side. William studied his son with concern. "Everyone except those who are necessary leave." He commanded with his Aloha tone and everyone obeyed.

    Miranda sited next to her son and made Logan look into her face. Logan obeyed his mother. He always had a soft spot for her. "Son, what happened? Why did you show up with an injured wolf?"

    "He's my mate…" Logan wasn't in the mood for explanation and talking but he knew that Miranda won't leave him until he told her the whole story and, at this time, he wanted to be alone especially with his mate.

    "What!?" William and Miranda said in sync. "He's your mate?"

    "Son, you need to tell me what happened and why he's in that room," William said with his usual mature voice and tried to make his frustrated son talk.

    "Crimson told me my mate was in danger and then I heard his scent and I found him with a bloody knife in one of his hands and a box with wolfsbane's powder in his other hand." Logan himself was in shock by this whole mate situation and couldn't say anything more than that.

    Both William and Miranda knew the scent of the new boy and they also knew that by what Logan said, the boy probably attempted to kill himself with wolfsbane but what shocked them so much was that he was supposed to be dead.

    "Son, we may have an idea of what had happened to your mate." William looked at Logan and tried to understand his emotions but Logan never let his emotions take power over his face and eyes.

    "I don't want to know." Both of his parents looked at him with confusion. "He will wake up and he will tell me everything himself when he's ready. Now you shall leave!"

    William never let his son talk to him like that but this was a special case so he asked his wife through a mind-link to let Logan be with himself for a little while. Both of them gives Logan a concerned look and then walked away from him.

    Why you didn't let them explain what happened to him in the forest? Crimson said with a weak voice.

    It's his secret and he will tell us when he's ready. Logan felt weak too with his mate in the room that he wasn't allowed and nobody came out of it for letting him know what happened but he still asked the question anyway. Why do you sound so weak?

    Not that you don't know. Crimson said and then blocked the mind-link.

    Logan was in his world waiting for any news from the boy in the emergency room. He wasn't stupid. He knew the reason his mate was in that room was that he attempted suicide and that was the real reason he didn't want to hear it from William and Miranda. It wasn't their place to tell him and Logan wanted his mate to first trust him and then they could talk about everything.

    What if his mate can't make it? What if he dies? What will happen to him? What if—

    Stop it, Logan! Crimson couldn't let him have these thoughts. He will make it and we both know it. Allen is one of the best doctors and our mate is strong cause I can feel that he's getting better.

    It's not my fault! Logan was angry and he didn't even know why but he didn't yell at his wolf. I can't stop thinking about all of these 'what if'. I can't be optimistic. Not when the boy that one day will be the most important person in my life, in our life, is in that room.

    At least try! Crimson didn't shout either. Try to be strong for our mate.

    This time it was Logan who blocked the mind-link but he trusted his wolf and tried to be strong for both of them.

    More than five hours passed and, at this time, Logan didn't move from the chair near the emergency room. William and Miranda came a few times and tried to talk to Logan but he stayed quiet with his usual frown on his poker face.

    Logan and even Crimson were starting to lose hope but suddenly the door of the emergency room opened and a happy Allen was standing behind the door. "You may want to visit your mate! We did it and he will be waking up in a few hours!"

    All Logan could think about was his mate and he was super happy so for the first time in a very very long time he stopped frowning and thanked Allen while running toward the bed.

    Allen told the nurses through the pack's mind-link to come out and leave the future Alpha and his mate alone for at least a few hours and then he walked away from the Moon's couple too with a smile on his face and a proud face.

    We won't leave his side. Logan and Crimson promised each other.
