Chapter 12: Hell's Heaven

"I can't believe you let your big brother gets treated like that. How—Ouch!" Nathan shouted once the alcohol made contact with his skin again.

"Technically, it wasn't you," Liam said with a sheepish smile. "Or I thought so… I'm sorry."

"I was joking little brother." Nathan moved closer to Liam and hugged him. "Don't you worry, alright? It was a mistake and I am fine."

Liam sniffed and nodded against his brother's shoulder. "I still don't know how you managed to get hurt, though." He stated, confused. "It was just a pain simulator. It won't hurt physically."

"I guess surviving something as big as an updated virus has some bad side effects after all." Nathan smiled to show that he was okay. "All I care about now is that you're okay."

"What about… Rebecca?" Liam asked carefully. He still remembered watching Rebecca kill Nathan and she died herself too. "She kinda… killed you?" This came more like a question unlike how Liam wanted it to be.

Nathan sighed but kept the smile on his face for Liam's sake. "She never was my true mate to start with. It was all a perfect plan to get the Gamma, but apparently, they were wrong about who the Gamma is and I couldn't be happier about it."

"They wanted me?" Liam couldn't point out what he was feeling but he knew it wasn't fear.

"Yes. A Gamma." Nathan tightened his hold on Liam subconsciously. "Rebecca already had poison before acting as she killed me. A sacrifice that I still don't know what was the reason."

"How come?" Liam asked. He wanted to know more but he also didn't want to make Nathan feel like he has to say everything to him. "If you don't want to talk it's okay though." He stated carefully.

Nathan kissed the crown of Liam's head. "It's alright little bro. I was captured for half a year at least and then I escaped and got into the fake quarantine. It was more like they wanted to ask questions about where I was and what I did when I was captured. The royalties always need an excuse for doing something. The virus was the best excuse they could come up with."

"That's understandable." Liam hummed. "I missed you, bro. It's like I just noticed you weren't with me when I finally saw you that day."

"I'm here now." Nathan looked at his brother fondly. "I won't ever let you go."

"Unfortunately, you have to." Nathan jumped when he heard Logan and Liam just turned and smiled at him. "Mind if I borrow my mate for an eternity?"

Liam looked at Nathan. "I know you want to go." Nathan rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless.

"Bye for now Nate!" Liam smiled as he went to stand near Logan. "See you later."

"See you later," Nathan said and got up to see Willian.

Liam looked at Logan with a genuine smile that seemed to be on his face ever since Nathan finally was able to get out of that cell.

"I am happy that you're happy," Logan stated. "But I want you to spend time with me too."

"I have been doing that ever since you took me here." Liam rolled his eyes but deep down he liked what Logan said.

"The time in the infirmary doesn't count," Logan said and took Liam's hand in his own as a blush crept its way toward Liam's cheeks at the simple action. "Aren't you the cutest mate?" Logan teased Liam even though he was fighting his blush.

Liam smiled. He could feel Logan's emotions. "Aren't you the cutest trying to fight off a blush?"

Logan didn't answer which only made Liam smile wilder and soon he was grinning from ear to ear. "We are going to my favorite place in this humble place."

"Don't be an ass, Logan." Liam rolled his eyes. "This place is not humble. It is a mansion."

"More like a big building in the middle of a forest covered in windows," Logan mumbled. As soon as they entered the packhouse's main living room, Logan was the same grumpy person that didn't like to waste his time talking with people, except for Liam of course.

"Where are we going?" Liam used to be a curious kid and he was probably the most curious person that William and Jordan ever saw and this side of him started to show more as the couple interacted more.

"You have to wait," Logan said with a smirk. "I may as well stop you here."

    "Why?" Liam asked confused.

Logan took out a blindfold. "A surprise will never be a surprise without a blindfold involved."

"Okay," Liam said quickly. His curiosity was bugging him to death. Logan looked happy talking about that place he wanted to show and Liam couldn't wait to see more about what he wanted to show.

"Such a good boy." Logan teased him and received a satisfying blush from Liam.

Logan took his mate's hand and led him out of the packhouse. The journey toward the special place that Logan wanted to show Liam wasn't that long. It took them only three and half minutes to reach there.

"Let's go in and you can take that off," Logan instructed Liam toward the beautiful garden. "I'm going to take it off." Logan smiled as he predicted his mate's reaction in his mind.

For a second Liam didn't say anything. He just looked at the beautiful garden. "Just… wow…" He said after a minute of silence. "It's amazing..." He smiled so wide that his cheeks hurt.

"It's called the Narcissus Garden," Logan said with a proud smile. "Also, some of us call it Hell's Heaven."
