Chapter 13

"Annnd that's are our cue to leave" Ryder concluded, dragging me up to my feet with one arm.

He was practically lifting me. All I needed to do was straighten my feet. He was really strong.

We sprinted to the egde of the shipping container. While Ryder jumped to the next one, I stayed back and prayed.

Please. Parkour don't fail me now.

Ryder didn't wait. He went on ahead and flipped over obstacles with ease.

I took a huge leap and landed lightly on the next container barely making any noise.

I could hear a pair of feet trailing behind me.

Mid way, I heard a gun shot and instantly heard the bullet whizz passed my ear.

Despite my fear, the adrenaline rushing through my blood vessels kept me going and sprinting as fast as I could away from our chaser.

( ??? POV)

I was supervising my father's drug shipment when Kyle came up to me.

"Boss, the boys spotted movment on the 3rd container to the right. They maight be rivals or spys. What should we do?"

"I'll sort it out. They were stupid enough to get caught then there's no way they can escape." I stated.

I vaulted over the containers and followed their trail. One of the two men were way too far for me to catch but the other one was close enough for me to shoot.

While still running, I took out my hand gun, aimed it and then finally pulled the trigger. The man swiftly dodged the bullet and accelerated forward.

Damn these guys are good. They are defenitly trained.

They were a lot better at me then me at this.

As the first guy was gone and the second guy, flipped off his last container landing softly on the concrete barely making any noise.

During the process, the guys hood fell down and I got a glimpse of his hair. It was really long and tied up into a pony tail.

The moon light highlighted the person's hair and I could see that their hair was like a galaxy combo.

Are they a.... Girl ?!

I removed my eyes from the fleeing figure for about 3 seconds to safly land on the ground but when I looked they was gone.

I stopped for a few moments to listen if I could hear any sound leading to my victims location. To my luck an alumnos yellow car pulled out of an ally way a two streets ahead of me.

When I reached the ally way, a car door was just slammed shut.

I took out my gun once again. The girl turned her head lights on which binded me. I had no choice but to shoot with no aim.

( Camilias POV)

I turned the corner, into the ally way I parked my car in and nearly got ran over by Ryders speeding car. I dodged swiftly and carried on running to my car.

I got in and had started my engine when the chaser turned the corner.

He stood infront of my car and pointed the gun at me. Then took a few shots.

I flinched at the sound of the bullets hitting my window but nevertheless I stepped on the gas pedal.

The bullets just bounced off the bulletproof windscreen glass that my front window was made out of.

Thank god it's bulletproof.

The man leaped to the side, out of my way. Unwillingly letting me go.

My heart was racing but I was used to it. This was one of the main reasons I love my job. I love the adrenaline it gives me.

I speed up the abandoned road until I saw Ryders back break lights glowing brightly at the side of road.

I pulled up beside him and let my window passenger down.

"What took you so long?" He demanded turning off his engine.

"I didn't see you come back to help me out!" I blurted in defence.

"Did you see the amount of armed men there were. God knows how many were after us!" He shouted tying to victimise himself.

"You mean 'a man'." I corrected him.

"There was only one man after us. The boss I'm guessing." I thought out loud while getting out of my car and closing the door.

"Well that's a relief!" He sighed loudly taking a seat on the bonnet of his car.

I simply scoffed.

A relief for you maybe but not me.

I copied Ryder and sat with my legs crossed on the roof of my car.

"Miss Black, would you like a drink?"

We jumped at the sudden interruption made by my car, Lola.

"Sure! What do you have?" I asked intrigued by this technology.

"Could you look in to the windscreen, please?"

I slid down my windscreen onto my bonnet and then looked inside.

On the windscreen, it showed a hologram of a drink menu.

"This is the menu. Please pick the number of you desired drink and I will serve it up to you on the roof, if you would like!" She suggested cheerfully.

The menu contained many different drinks. Soft drinks, smoothies, juices, flavoured water, teas and coffees and just simple bottled water. All but alcohol for obvious reasons.There was such a verity it was hard to choose one.

"Do you want anything?" I asked turning my head over to Ryder.

"Eh. Yeah! Is that even a question. I'll have the  Cidona." He ordered.

"Okay. I'll have the a Iced Caramel Frappuccino then. Lola can I get a 15 and a 63 please?"

"Sure, it will be ready in exactly 67 seconds and counting." She informed while turning off the hologram.

I jumped to the roof and waited for my order.

As I was waiting, I took in the beautiful scenery of the city lights in front of me.

Wow. Everything has changed since I was hear last. Man, I'm back where I vowed I would never return to.
