Third Person POV
School had been canceled while they investigated what had happened to the two young heros. If not for them the school would have written off the whole thing as a tree that was just simply too old and couldn't hold itself up anymore but considering both Bakugo and Midoriya collapsed while just being there they are looking into anything and everything that could have caused their unusual and unknown condition.
"Let's let them rest here, no need to further harm them just trying to get them away from each other after all they are not hurting anything," Nezu announced after trying to get the boys apart in their sleep which only resulted in them most likely bruising each other holding on for dear life even though they were clearly unconscious.
All Might and Eraserhead were watching over the two young heroes now, still on the couch where they first sat down at, the office otherwise empty now. The two heros watched as the two boys would cry in their sleep and try to hold each other closer than they already were. Occasionally they would wake up and talk again as if trying to sooth each other. If not for Bakugo's insistent name calling and insults they would have wondered who he was, but neither boy seemed to hear or understand anything anyone else said.
Bakugo was talking to Deku as if they were children, trying to calm each other down after something horrific happened. Eraserhead could spot it anywhere, he was an undercover hero who tended to work at night and he had seen these things many times before. Almost always from extremely young children most to young to even have manifested their quirks yet. Toddlers, not even school age.
"What could have happened to them?" Aizawa asked, not even realising he had spoken out loud. The two boys currently trying to convince the other to sleep as if that could make the pain go away. To make things worse they still felt the pain from when they collapsed. Midoriya kept trying to rationalize it and Bakugo kept trying to 'force it' away. Neither worked.
"I truly do not know," All Might responded a little in awe at what he was seeing. He had known that they were childhood friends but this seemed surreal even to him. "How could they change so much?"
Aizawa looked All Might over as he stared at them. He was more than a teacher to them, he knew that much. He was their hero but there was something more to it than that. He seemed to almost shower both boys in what could only be described as a father's love. Both uniquely but just as fiercely.
"Yagi, what gets said after this does not leave this room." Eraserhead stated actually using his real name for once. All Might noticed not having heard Aizawa use his name like that before he paid close attention while Aizawa looked back at the boys and continued, "But you ARE going to tell me what is going on between the three of you."
All Might sighed not really knowing where to begin. But it was about time he told him considering he has such an important role in both boys lives just being their homeroom teacher everyday.
"I have chosen Young Midoriya to be my successor, I gave him my quirk to carry on. Young Bakugo also knows the secret of my quirk 'One-For-All'." He waited what was only a couple minutes before adding, "Before that young Midoriya was quirkless, begging for just a chance to be a hero. I told him no when he asked me if he could still be a hero. I shattered his dreams, then that same day young Bakugo was captured by a villain and even the pro heros and law enforcement kept their distance. Young Midoriya was the only one who moved to help and as he tore at the villain to free his childhood friend he tried to smile and reassure him."
All Might stopped talking and only seemed to look more and more depressed until he did finally start talking again. "I was there, just like I am now. Weak. I just watched thinking that the heros already there had everything under control, but they didn't. I found out after speaking to the medical staff that looked after Young Bakugo that he nearly suffocated to death. If not for young Midoriya he would have died that day."
Aizawa just looked at him listening carefully to everything that he said. Izuku Midoriya has All Might's quirk? How could he believe what he was hearing but he knew it had to be true. It explained so much as to why he developed the way that he had during his time in class. As if he never had a quirk before.
"Kacchan! You promised to play with me today," Midoriya whined, catching both the hero's attention and stopping their conversation.
"Later Deku," Bakugo answered, somehow stretching out so the two were now laying down on the couch cuddling together instead of clinging onto each other for dear life.
"Kacchan?" Midoriya whined again.
"Okay, let's go down to the creek to play then we can climb up and pick some peaches," Bakugo yawned.
The heros watched as the two boys stood up together rubbing their eyes as they walked towards the door holding hands.
"Tell Aunt Inko where we are going so we won't get in trouble, okay?" Bakugo yawned again.
"MOM, Kacchan and I are going to play by the creek!" Midoriya yelled out behind them and towards the heros before running and following Bakugo out the door.
The hero's exchanged glances before going after them, it was the middle of the night and the two boys didn't seem to actually be awake. More like they were reliving a memory...
The boys actually started to run and play like toddlers much to the following hero's surprise. They played tag until they were actually at a creek not too far from the school.
"Deku! I finally got my quirk isn't it amazing the teenager smiled and puffed out his chest while setting off little explosions in his hands making All Might snicker and Eraserhead roll his eyes.
"You're amazing Kacchan. I hope my quirk will be amazing like your's is! Maybe I'll breathe fire like my dad!" Midoriya cheered.
"That settles it! We will become the top two heros and we will be called The Wonder Duo!" Bakugo screamed, jumping off a rock and splashing into the water of the creek.
"The Wonder Duo! Yes and maybe we will even meet All Might and and Eraserhead and-" Midoriya was then cut off by a scream from Bakugo who slipped and seemed to be struggling against someone but there was no one there.
"Get off me you old hag!" Bakugo screamed at the unknown assailant.
"Get away from Kacchan!" Midoriya screamed, making a hand gesture that All Might didn't recognize before blowing into it.
"Deku! You just breathed fire!!!" Bakugo cheered. "No one can hurt us now, not ever!" He seemed to run up to a tree and kick next to it. "Stay away from my best friend you old hag!" Before he ran back to a blushing Midoriya and they seemed to run off a bit further.
The heros followed trying to hear what they were saying because nothing they were saying was making any sense, after all Midoriya couldn't breathe fire.
"Get away from us! We don't know you! Midoriya screamed, his face covered in tears and the heros watched as they seemed to fight the empty space around them.
"No you can't have his flamethrower, it is his!" Bakugo screamed trying to defend Midoriya.
"Kacchan! NOOOOO!" Screamed Midoriya into the otherwise silent night. "Give Kacchan his quirk back! Right now, it's HIS!" All Might watched as Midoriya made another hand sign and seemed to blow an impressive gust of air at his invisible enemies.
"Give it back now or I'll.. I'll cook you like the chickens you are!" Midoriya seemed so serious that it was hard to believe that he hasn't actually been breathing fire this whole time.
"Wow Deku! What did you just do? It was like you pushed them away without even touching them!" Bakugo cheered excitedly.
"I don't know, maybe it's like my mom's quirk?" Midoriya seemed to ask.
"Thank you Zuki, I will love you forever. I promise." The blond whispered just loud enough that the heros could hear before giving Midoriya a kiss on the cheek, still crying.
"I love you too Kacchan! We will always be together so we can make each other stronger. Just you watch the Wonder Duo will be the number one and two heros and there is nothing anyone can do about it!" Midoriya cheered his friend up, giving him lots of hugs.
"No one was supposed to see their childhood memories," a woman's voice seemed to come from nowhere. Eraserhead and All Might put their backs together and stood at the ready. There isn't much All Might could do as he was but he could still hold his hero form for a few moments at a time and that would just have to do.
"Don't worry, I'm not here to hurt any of you. I'm just here to see them be reunited finally. I must warn you not to use your quirk on me Eraserhead or those two will end up being severely injured." The voice said before they saw a beautiful woman sit on a nearby rock under a tree. Her hair was the same pink as cherry blossoms in spring and her eyes a dark green sparkle whenever she dared to look around.
"You would threaten children?" All Might asked in return before hearing her sweet crystal like laugh.
"Oh dear goodness no! It's just that I'm using my quirk to help them, otherwise they would still be trapped in the frozen nightmare as before. If you were to erase my quirk they would fall in the creek together and get trapped in their nightmare again and none of us want that." She explained happily as the two boys played in the creek.
"Reunite?" Eraserhead asked, confused.
"Yes soon all of their memories will come flooding back and not all of them are pleasant like this one was. Poor dears I absolutely hated sealing their gifts away like that. They were quite talented for their age but it wouldn't have been enough, not for what is coming." She sighed sounding exhausted.
"What is coming?" All Might questioned anyway.
"All-for-One is. He needs to be stopped and these boys are the ones who will finally do it." She answered and ignored how both heros flinched back at his name.
"He is coming and those boys are our only hope," She sighed again. "I feel like I am almost just as much a villain as he is though. I did after all steal their friendship from them. When they wake up they will not remember any of this, not until the blond finally breaks the seal. That should be soon though. It's why I'm here to make sure they are still okay." All Might and Eraserhead watched as tears flowed down her porcelain like face.
"How did you steal their friendship?" Eraserhead was confused by all of it but getting more and more concerned with the fact that there is actually someone who is able to do any of this.
"I made them forget, first I sealed the poor green haired child's quirk away and then about half of the blonds along with most of their memories, anything that is, that could somehow remind them of their quirks." To the woman's credit if she was lying she was an amazing actress. "Then when they forgot about it I told them how they could actually make their dreams a reality."
"How? If you sealed their quirks and memories, how could they become heros?" All Might asked the woman confused by her logic.
"The blond had to bully the other. Not just a few mean names either, I mean really bully him, make him see the dark side of children and by doing so seeing how to work around it and help people anyway." She paused watching the two boys behind the hero's play. "Then All Might would be able to train the both of them himself," she gently put a hand on her head cradling it as if it hurt.
"It's almost time, the boy's quirks can only be unlocked by the blond and he is the only one that knows how. But at the same time he doesn't know that he knows and I can't tell them." She looked up smiling now, "But you two can." She stood up and walked towards them.
"Tell him that 'only an honest heart can see the answers and it takes three minutes time to conquer them,' do you understand?" She asked softly, starting to fade before their eyes. "He will know what it means."
"Keep the school closed for the rest of the week but try to find ways to keep them together because otherwise everything will be for nothing." Then just as suddenly as she came she was gone.
"Stop following me you quirkless nobody!" Bakugo screamed at Midoriya pushing him down.
"Kacchan..." Midoriya cried softly to himself as his friend stomped away.
"I feel like we sh-" All Might started to say before Eraserhead covered his mouth with his hand.
"Kacchan, you're so amazing one day I'll finally be able to save you like you always do for me." Midoriya cried quietly to himself.
They looked up to see Bakugo watching his face red and angry as he quietly beat up the tree nearest to him. "I have to get stronger so I can protect him!" He knocked his own head against the tree.
"I know if I'm mean to him he will get stronger too! That way I know he will be able to handle anything that happens. But I will have to be super mean, arg! Why does this have to be so hard?" The blond ruffled his own hair looking back down at his hands. "I have to or the old lady said she wouldn't give him a quirk."
"No wonder we always have our hands full with them," Eraserhead groaned before getting up from his hiding place.
"Take a swan dive Deku and pray that in your next life you get a quirk." Bakugo hissed he had Midoriya pushed against a tree now and Midoriya was in tears. "Tch," Bakugo scoffed before releasing him and watching him slide down to the ground. "Give up on going to UA!" He hissed barely loud enough for the hero's to hear and Eraserhead had to stop All Might from going to him. Rage pulsing through the hero.
The boys walked away a bit and suddenly Bakugo collapsed on the ground sobbing, "Why can't you already have a quirk? I don't even want to be a hero without you," Bakugo cried, making both Eraserhead and All Might jump to their feet and start going to them.
Midoriya wasn't too far away, only a meter or so, but neither seemed to be able to hear the other. "Kacchan, I don't remember everything but I know you are only doing this to help me. We might not be the Wonder Duo yet but I promise." He sobbed trying to stop his tears he looked up determined, "You're my hero and always have been. It just hurts so much, not knowing."
"We have a lot to think about now," Eraserhead mumbled almost to himself. The heros were next to the boys now as they cried for each other.
"We should-" All might was cut off from responding as both boys jumped up looking around.
"Damn it! Now what happened?" Bakugo cursed looking over at Midoriya, not seemingly being able to see the heros still. "Oi, Shitty Nerd?" He growled and Midoriya looked up. His eyes seemed to soften just a bit but enough the heros could see it, especially now that they knew so much more about the boys.
"Kacchan?" Midoriya answered, seemingly confused.
Bakugo groaned, "Let's just find a way back. We're not getting any answers here." He put his arm around Midoriya and pulled the now shivering boy closer.
"Shit how did we even get here? And why are we wet?" He continued to grumble. Midoriya seemed to relax and put his own arm around him as well, both boys were shaking and were having a hard time walking from being wet and cold, their shivering stopping them several times.
"Oi, Don't think I owe you or anything!" Bakugo hissed before tightening his grip on Midoriya. "Shitty Deku."
