Bakugo's POV
Just great! We wake up again completely confused and can't remember fucking anything, we are outside in a fucking creek for crying out loud. I know I'm cursing but now Deku is muttering trying to figure out what is going on. I just need to punch some sense into him but I am freezing and exhausted. I feel like I have been training for several hours. We continue to walk, making our way back to school as tired as we are. We walk by the dorms and continue to the actual school. We walk using each other as support all the way back to the principal's office.
"Stop, we need to at least get out of our wet clothes," Deku spoke up. I curse and we make our way to the gym. We can at least put on our spare clothes and I know I need a hot shower.
"Fucking Deku, don't put them on while you're still wet! Useless fucking Deku, shower first," I grumble pointing us both towards the shower stalls.
The hot water was amazing. I couldn't help the sigh of relief as the water hit me but I could hear Deku doing the same damn thing from his stall. We quickly finish and get dressed again.
"What do you think happened, Kacchan?" Deku yawned.
"Fuck if I know. At this point I don't even know what fucking day it is," I answer. We were sitting on some benches by our lockers now and I REALLY didn't want to get up again.
"It feels like my body has gone through hell," I add after a couple minutes of silence.
"Me too, I don't even want to get up." He turned, resting his back against mine. I couldn't help flinching from the contact but I just shifted a little getting a little more comfortable we were alone and who the fuck cares if I'm human for a couple minutes.
"We need to sleep but we can't stay here. Maybe we should just go back to the dorm if we stay together it shouldn't be a problem." I am starting to nod off even as I'm talking.
"I guess we shouldn't separate until they give us the okay..." Deku answered, still fidgeting around every now and again.
"Tch, let's just go. But we are going to MY room," I huffed as we struggled to stand again.
Again we had to use each other as support to walk, if it wasn't for Deku being there I would have cried from relief when we finally stopped at the door to my room so I could unlock it.
"Too tired to make up a futon for you just sleep with me," I grumbled, flipping the covers back so we could get in.
Once we were finally comfortable I pulled Deku into my arms so that neither of us would fall out of bed. Almost immediately his arms were around me. Neither of us had bothered to undress, we were much too tired for that anyway. But tonight at least I could pretend that we are friends again.
"Goodnight Kacchan," he yawned snuggling into my chest.
"Night Deku," I sighed in response. Yes at least for tonight I could pretend it was like it used to be.
Aizawa's POV
Again neither of the boys were able to see or hear us all the way back to the school. I was however impressed that they were able to work together as they did. Both boys seemed lost in their own world and I couldn't help worry a little about the way they were trembling.
"That woman said she was trying to help them. Should we trust her?" I muttered almost to myself.
"I don't know, but I know and trust these boys. I knew they had history, I just didn't know how much." All Might responded.
"Let's take turns keeping watch over them," I hesitated before adding, "I'll take the first watch." I watched as the boys climbed into bed before finding and pulling out the futon that Bakugo mentioned earlier. I took a seat at his desk and prepared for the long night ahead of me. All Might laid down and although his mind was troubled he did fall asleep fairly quickly.
Midoriya and Bakugo slept much like they had on the couch the day before, clinging to each other. Every now and again one would start crying again and the other would soothe them. It was odd watching Bakugo cry and Midoriya coax him back to sleep. I sent a message to principal Nezu about keeping the school closed for the rest of the week and mentioned taking them on a training camp instead while the investigation finished.
I don't trust that woman enough to just let Bakugo and Midoriya work things out on their own but this should be the safest option by far. When Nezu confirmed it I sent a copy to All Might the two of us were taking the class to camp. Tomorrow.
When it was time to switch watch, I showed him the message from Nezu and he nodded agreeing with me before I finally went to sleep.
Deku's POV
I woke up to both of our alarms going off, 5am. I reached for my phone turning it off and he did the same.
"Nerd," he grumbled, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"Morning Kacchan," we stood up and stretched our bodies obviously still aching from the night before considering the winces and grumbles that escaped us as we got up.
"Young Midoriya and Young Bakugo can you see me this time?" All Might asked tiredly from the desk chair making us both start and fall back over on the bed.
"I'll take that as a yes, pack your things for the week the class is going training for the week off campus." Eraserhead issued the orders from his sleeping bag.
"What the hell are you doing in my room?" Kacchan screamed as All Might opened the door.
"Making sure you two didn't do anything stupid again." Aizawa answered before the two of them walked out. He looked back at us and if I didn't know better I would think his eyes softened a little, "We never left either of you." Kacchan and I followed them out into the common room in what I could only describe as shock.
"Attention class A, we will be going on a week long training camp, so pack your things you have one hour before we leave!" Aizawa announced to the students using some kind of mic that broadcasted his voice into each of the rooms. Then both teachers just left, as if nothing happened.
"Whatever," Kacchan grumbled before returning to his room and slamming the door. I hurried to my room and grabbed my to go pack and added a couple things before getting ready for the day.
Bakugo's POV
I carried my bag and dropped it outside where I assume we are meeting only to find the half and half bastard already there and Deku following close behind me.
"Your back," Todoroki commented when Deku arrived.
"Yeah, I'm not really sure what happened though?" He answered, rubbing his neck. It didn't escape my notice that he dropped his bag next to mine and not his. That kind of made me happy as I smirked while stretching.
"Yo Bakubro! You look way better than the last time we saw you," Kirishima called out.
"Tsk, shitty hair what's that supposed to mean?" I hissed.
"Dude you looked like shit!" Kaminari nearly shouted when he saw me making me roll my eyes.
"You want me to kill you?" I held up a hand and set off little explosions letting him know I was serious. My friends backed up surrendering knowing better than to push it.
"Deku!" I heard round face yell making me roll my eyes again before looking back his way, there the whole class has gathered around to hear what happened and he was fidgeting. I hate that she calls him that but he did choose for it to be his hero name. I still don't have to like it though.
"Oi back off!" I growled letting my explosions do the big talking for me.
"So what happened to you two?" Todoroki asked, ignoring my threat.
"None of your damn business," I hissed. Thankfully Eraserhead finally decided to show up and do his damn job.
"Attention, you all will have seating arrangements so listen carefully for who you are partnered up with. Because you will be spending the entire trip together." Eraserhead announced only greeted with murmuring and comments that they hope they get a friend.
"Todoroki and Momo, Kaminari and Kirishima, Bakugo and Midoriya, Iida and ..." I tuned him out. Just great, now Deku and I have to work together for the whole damn week.
I picked up my bags and looked at him to see him already following me. I can't help letting out a groan before getting on the bus and putting my things away. I take Deku's things and throw them up with mine before letting him take the window seat. I'm not going to just let him get car sick on me, no thank you.
Deku just smiles and sits down cracking the window just a little bit as he does. We put on our seat belts and I lay back ready to fall back to sleep, still tired and sore.
Deku's POV
Kacchan is being nice, well nice for him. He is still grumbling and cursing but he isn't yelling and making a scene. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep, everyone wasn't even on the bus yet.
When everyone was ready, Aizawa boarded and looked around before taking his seat at the back of the bus, behind Kacchan and I. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes. I am just so tired...
Aizawa's POV
I got on the bus and made sure they were actually sitting next to each other, I couldn't help rolling my eyes, Bakugo was already asleep.
I leaned down and told All Might that I would be in the teacher seat in the back and he nodded before starting the bus.
When I was settled in my sleeping bag I decided to watch them a little longer. Bakugo was still asleep and if I had to guess I would say he will sleep through the trip. Finally I might actually get some real sleep.
Something seemed off about Midoriya though, he seemed far too relaxed for someone sitting next to their school bully. Of course now I know more about the background but he still doesn't remember. How can he be so calm? Now that I think about it he is always more relaxed around him. Except when Bakugo seems to yell at him out of nowhere of course.
The drive was only three hours long but from the way the other students behaved you would have thought we had been driving all day. I look over at the two boys in front of me. Midoriya had fallen asleep shortly after the bus started moving. In fact I don't think we were out of sight of the school yet and as I look between their seats I see they are holding each other's hands, their knuckles were white from the pressure.
I'm slightly surprised that they were not crying or clinging to each other but that is for the best. Now I don't have to worry about explaining things to their classmates.
Bakugo's POV
I wake up to the bus slowing down, groaning slightly and trying to cradle my head but I quickly realized that my left hand was trapped in a death grip by Deku. Just great, what if someone saw us? I looked around and saw several people talking and laughing with their partners but no one seemed to have noticed us. I relaxed a little leaning back in my seat again.
I put my free hand against my chest over my heart trying to soothe the aching, throbbing feeling. I shouldn't have to deal with this pain, it's not fair! My heart felt like it was squeezed again and I noticed Deku react at the same time. Of course we are both feeling this, like it could have been easy.
"Why can't it just stop? What kind of quirk were we hit with?" I groan almost in a whisper just as we both flinch again to the stabbing sensation.
There is movement behind me and I see Eraserhead stand up, "We will be arriving in just a few minutes if your partner is asleep, wake them up now."
Fuck he sounded exhausted, I turned to Deku shaking him awake as I did. He looked startled and he quickly went red when he saw that he was holding my hand. I just shake my head to keep him from drawing any attention to us and he quickly let go of me. For some reason I feel disappointed that he actually let me go. I couldn't help frowning to myself.
We had parked and we were all gathering our things when I handed Deku his bag. He quickly thanked me and waited for me to grab my own bag before we got off the bus. I didn't even see Eraserhead walking behind us until he started talking;
"An honest heart can see the answers and it takes three minutes time to conquer them," I spun around to see him already a few meters away.
'No it can't be! Can it?' I think to myself. I look at Deku and we quickly go to our room. Each team had their own room with two full size beds in it and I quickly pulled on Deku's arm practically dragging him to ours. It's time!
When the door is closed I quickly lock it and turn to Deku pinning him in between my arms. I stared him in the eyes and saw him gulp before asking, "Three minutes or three days?" He knew what I meant, we had both been waiting for this day.
"Kacchan..." he looked down biting his lower lip driving me crazy.
"Answer!" I growled.
"Can I think about it?" He was almost trembling while he tried to search my eyes.
"You have until after dinner," I grumble before pulling away to unpack my things.
