The Promise

The Next morning, Autobot base.

A grumpy bot sighs annoyingly with his servo rubbing his annoyed helm. "You alright Ratch?" Ratchet looks up with tired optics, he doesn't say anything for a few minutes though.

"I'm just worried about her, I know she's fine. I just can't help but worry." The older bot grumbles quietly, rubbing his bright blue optics cautiously. The mech sits down next to Ratchet in the medical bay.

"You should try and get some rest. We won't be finding her any time soon. It's best if you have the energy to help if we do find her." The medic looks down at the computer which is still scanning the area for her signal. "Besides, I'll keep watch in case we find her."

"I suppose so, thank you Bumblebee." Ratchet gets up and walks out the door, moving slowly towards his berthroom, which he hasn't spent much time in since he has always been to busy to rest. Bumblebee sighs, moving towards the computer. He quickly types a few things into the machine.

"Where are you Saber Prime?" He mutters under his breath.

Decepticon base in Kaon

"Where is it Prime?" Saber sighs quietly, her helm resting back against the wall. A mech that is sitting in front of her stands up. "Fine, I'll leave Lord Slade to take care of you then." The mech is silver and has black armor, from what she can see, his optics are red with a pair of shotguns on his back. Two blades in his forearms and a small pair of daggers at his hip. He is rather tall, but barely taller than the femme.

She doesn't say anything, watching him start leaving. Saber quickly looks over at Hydra, who jumps up and grabs the pair of keys on his back side where his daggers are. He looks back, but doesn't notice anything strange as Hydra had hid them in her mouth. The cons had taken off the muzzle, seeing as the Predacon isn't much of a threat to them fighting wise.

Once the mech is gone, Saber quickly looks at the Predacon again. "Good job Hydra." She mutters with a small smile on her faceplates. Hydra brings the keys over, reaching up and releasing the keys in Saber's servo. Quickly, she moves the key around and positions it in front of the cuff. In a matter of seconds, the cuff falls off. "Yes!" She whisper shouts, a smile forming on her derma. Quickly removing the other cuff as well. Just as Saber stands up, the door opens.

Grabbing Hydra, she runs towards the door. Hydra jumps onto Saber's shoulders and holds on, wrapping around them. The second the con opens the door, the first faceplate she is to see is Slade's. Jumping up, she pushes off the con and jumps over his helm. Amusement on his faceplates. Dropping with a crouch, Saber dashes down the hallway. Dodging the cons that enter. A few of them lose their helms from which Saber jumps over them and uses her forearm blades to cut the neck cables.

While running, Saber takes her forearm and starts pushing buttons. A hologram appears in a small square, "Saber?!" The yellow bug shouts from the computer. Shock on his faceplates.

"No time to explain! Need help in Kaon, now!" Just as she says that, a blast manages to hit the hologram causing it to malfunction. She curses under her breath, feeling a servo grab her neck cables. Her crystal blue optics quickly meet Slade's amused but yet angry red ones.

He slams her against the hallway wall, feeling her servos pull at his own in attempt to get free. "Saber..." He growls, the amusement seeming to fade. You know he is angry when he calls her by her name without love at the end. She quickly lifts her pedes and kicks him in the stomach, however it doesn't do much damage as he didn't seem to react. Either that, or he's too angry to show his pain right now.

Slade closes his servo around her neck tighter, causing her to claw at his servo more. Black dots begin to fill her optics vision. "I warned you Saber, now I will hurt you. If you give me no other choice." He says quietly, looking around, Saber notices that there is many Decepticons ready in case she escapes his hold.

"S-Slade...." She mutters, feeling the breath barely able to escape her throat. For a second, he softens his hold. Hearing her soft pained voice, but quickly glares at her.

"You always seem to do this to me," He whispers quietly, not necessarily directly at Saber, but to himself. With a softer glare, he releases her. Saber quickly falls to the ground, her servo going to her neck cables. Warnings appearing in her optics, because of the loss of air. Coughing silently, she looks up at Slade. Who is just staring down at her, no anger in his optics, no sadness, no happiness, nothing. For once, Saber can't tell what is going on in his helm. That scares her more than anything.

Before anything can be said or done, many blasts are shot directly at Slade, he however expected it and maneuvers around them. Looking over at the Autobots that have flooded the hallway. Decepticons and Autobots begin to battle one another in hopes of winning this war. However, Saber and Slade seem to be separated from the rest of them. Staring into each other's optics, neither one of them saying anything. The Decepticons are quickly out weaponized, but the Autobots are out numbered.

"Prime!" Racer calls out, running at Slade. He jumps up and kicks him in the faceplates, he however doesn't react to the pain. That alone worries Saber. He stumbles backwards slightly from the force of the kick, but turns back towards Racer. "What the-" Racer is cut off when Slade grabs him by the neck cables.

"No! Slade don't!" Saber shouts, getting up, only for Hunter to grab her from behind and hold her arms to her side. "Please don't!" She cries, only now realizing what Slade is actually willing to do to win this war. To win her. Hunter holds her tighter, grabbing his dagger, he puts it to her neck cables. Slade just sighs softly, staring into the struggling Racer's bright blue optics.

"Why must you always do this to me?" He mutters, his one free servo reaching back over his helm, gripping the handle of the blade. Then pulls it out, tears forming in Saber's optics, still trying to get free. Just as he is about to plunge the blade into Racer's spark Saber speaks up.

"Wait! I'll tell you where it is!" She shouts, causing Slade to freeze while dropping Racer, he turns towards her. A few different cons grab Racer and hold him on his knees. Slade walks towards Saber, nodding to Hunter. Who then releases Saber and begins walking over to Racer. He keeps him still with his dagger put to his neck cables.

"Where is it?" Slade asks, grabbing Saber by her neck cables. He once again, pins her against the wall. Only this time, he has his blade to her spark. This sudden pain erupts in both of their sparks. "Saber." He growls, becoming impatient. She grabs his servo with her own two servos. She would grab her blade and fight back, but she doesn't exactly have it, and if she were to, she would risk getting Racer killed by Hunter.

"The pits," Saber manages to mutter, upon hearing the answer confusion makes it's way to Slade's faceplates.

"You're lying." However, he knows she isn't. He can feel it in his spark. She quickly shakes her helm. A soft sigh escapes his derma. Now that Saber thinks about it, he looks tired and exhausted. Only she seemed to have heard the soft sigh though, which he was probably grateful for. After a few minutes, he puts the blade down and swings it back into its place on his back. Leaning close he whispers something to her in her audio receptors.

Whatever he said, it scared her. Before anything else could happen the Autobots managed to make their way to them. "Prime!" Wheeljack shouts, blasting the few cons off of Racer. Hunter just looks over at Slade. Who sighs, pulling away from Saber. Motioning to Hunter, they both pull back. Sending one more look towards Saber, he finally falls back. The Decepticons follow and let the Autobots leave.

"You alright kiddo?" Wheeljack asks, normally it would lighten the mood a bit. Using her old nickname to cheer her up. Whatever Slade said really stuck with her though. It's like she didn't even notice the mech was talking until the side of his vehicle rubbed up against hers.

"Huh?" A soft sigh escapes the mech's derma. Looking back he notices the other Autobots that came are holding back a bit in case any Decepticons decided to try anything. Soon they come upon the Autobot base, once they get there they immediately transform.

"Saber!" A few mechs shout, but she doesn't seem to notice until one of them touch her shoulder blade gently.

"You alright Saber?" Smokescreen asks with worry in his optics, she just nods her helm and walks inside. Her processor moving back to what Slade had told her. Smokescreen sighs, looking over at Racer. He motions with his helm towards Saber. Racer just shakes his helm slowly, walking over and picking her up by her pedes. Holding her in his arms, he begins to walk her to her berthroom. Feeling her helm rest on his chassis, allowing her body to finally relax since she got back. Her spark chamber opens slightly, allowing a small Predacon to crawl out and climb onto Racer's shoulder blades. She had been put in there when Slade slammed Saber against the wall the first time. To keep the small predacon safe.

"Hm, you must be the small predacon. I'll take you to Ratchet once she recharges." A smile forms on his derma, Hydra seems to like Racer, after all he was one of the Autobots who saved Saber.

Racer's processor wanders to what she had told him was in the pits, then off to what he had told her. Racer's optics glare at the door in front of him. He has seen many different sides of Saber, but never has he seen her that afraid before. Shifting her over, he puts in her berthroom door's code, waiting as it opens, he walks in and lays her down on the berth.

Naturally, his optics looked around. No one has ever really been in her berthroom. They don't really ever have a reason to, knowing Saber she doesn't recharge often so they don't ever have to come looking in here for her. I guess that just comes with being a Prime. Never getting to recharge and get well taken care of.

Racer now thinks about how hard it is for her. Always having to be strong and act like everything is okay. When really she knows it's quite the opposite. Racer knows that they aren't winning the war. That they are failing and soon enough if they don't figure it out, they might lose all together. He quickly shakes his helm, that's not gonna happen. Saber's a great leader, they will figure it out, they have to. Right?

Feeling Saber shift slightly, he turns to leave. However, her servo reaches out and grabs his. Pulling him towards her, she quickly wraps her arms around his waist. "Saber-" Before he can respond, she is asleep with her helm on his chassis. He just sighs, resting his arm around her waist. "Fine." He mutters, leaning his helm back against the wall, she rests in between his legs so her body is wrapped against his chassis. She starts muttering something, feeling this pain in her spark.

"N....Race....please....no..." Tears form in her optics. Worriedly, Racer wipes away some of the tears with his digit. Holding her tighter, he rests his chin on her helm. Feeling her shake slightly in his arms. "S....Slade..." She mumbles.

Racer just sighs, closing his optics, he slowly offlines them.

Saber gently opens her optics, looking around she notices it's all black again. "Great." She mutters, this time things seem to be more clear than they were last time. Her vision becomes a bit blurry, but this time she can still see things around her. Many mechs form around her, only she can't really see them as good. A single femme stands within the group of mechs.

"Can she see us?" The voice is more clear this time, besides last time she couldn't hear squat.

"Not completely, Saber is still adjusting to the realm." Her servo goes to her helm, this headache forming in her optics.

"Saber, tell us what happened. What brought you here?" Brought her here? She looks confused.

"Perhaps she doesn't know who we are, after all she can't really see us and, well no one living has ever heard our voices besides the Primes. Which of course are all here and not living." Everyone goes silent at the, nerdy one speaks. Wait. The Primes. Which are all here. Saber looks up with shock and understanding on her faceplates.

"Well she knows now," A different mech says, now noticing the colors of each mech. The femme, it's the one from her vision. However, she doesn't see the mech who is her Sire.

"You're the Thirteen Primes." She mutters, tilting her helm slightly. "Why am I here?" She mutters, feeling a presence behind her. This mech however becomes completely visible. Reaching back, she quickly grabs her blade and swings it at said mechs helm. Which comes clean off. It was Slade.

However, the 'Slade' appears again. "You would have killed him?" Saber's digits twitch slightly, remembering what he had told her. "What did he tell you?" There is this strictness to the voice, it's the femme's voice, exactly how she remembers it. Saber goes still quickly, the blades handle slipping from her grip and falling to the ground. Saber soon following.

With her helm down the thought on loop in her helm. Tears forming in her optics. His voice, the darkness in it. She had thought he would never hurt her, but he proved that wrong today. What else is he capable of doing. Would he actually...No. He wouldn't...right?

"I promise, I will take both of them from you."
