Family

A few more days have passed by, the Autobots have been planning their rescue mission. Soon they are gonna strike and bring Saber back home. They have the location already because Saber responded to the locator on her wrist.

"I'm getting impatient!" Racer shouts, pacing in the meeting room, a few of the mechs that are standing instead of sitting now because they too are impatient. Just better at hiding it. Wheeljack sighs, walking over to Racer. Putting a servo on his shoulder blade. In a way, it calms the worried mech down enough for them to continue with the plan.

"Everything is going fine," Bumblebee says quietly, upset about Saber still being gone.

"Now we just wait," Ultra Magnus finishes after him while standing with his arms crossed. Even though most of the mechs in this room act like it's not that big of a deal, they all are frustrated and worried just like Racer on the inside.

Decepticon Base

Saber sits quietly in the bridge, Slade had brought her in here and had her sit in his chair. The mech, however, is nowhere to be found. She would have run by now if it weren't for Hunter being here, at first she didn't notice him. She definitely won't make that mistake again.

The doors open and in walks Slade, he seems different from usual. "Saber, come." He says demandingly, the femme lifts her helm off her servo but doesn't move.

"What am I? A pet?" Anger and disapproval in her voice, she is obviously not happy with that. Slade growls and walks over.

"At the moment, yes." He grabs her wrist and pulls her to her pedes, "Come, or I will just drag you." He really isn't the mech that cares for her, he's probably the 'Slade who could care less'. Saber glares at him, but when he pulls her forwards, she just follows after. She would much rather run with him than be dragged.

Slade stops at a doorway, when it opens he walks in. The second Saber notices what room, she pulls free from his grip and runs for the door. However, it shuts right before she could get out. "Scrap!" She whispers under her breath, the mech grabs her servo again. This time pushing her forwards.

The new mech that is sitting at a computer, is Shockwave. When she steps back, her back meets Slade's chassis. His servos, surprisingly gently, wrap around her own. He then holds them next to her helm while Shockwave walks over.

"Calm down," Slade whispers silently in her audio receptor. Shockwave has this device with him, he moves it up and down her body. It seems like a scanner. When he puts it towards her spark chamber, it starts beeping like crazy. Shockwave points to Saber's spark chamber after a few seconds.

"It is Logical to check her spark chamber." Slade sighs quietly, then nods his helm.

"No!" Saber shouts, obviously not okay with anyone touching her spark chamber. Slade releases her, but a few vehicons come in and grab her. The next thing leads to another, she is on the berth. Her wrists and ankles are restrained and she is now stuck. "Slade!!" She shouts, obviously afraid. The mech walks over silently, placing his servos on each side of her helm.

"Calm down Saber, it won't be that bad." He whispers, he can feel her fear and sadness from the spark bond. Shockwave manages to open her spark chamber, Saber's first instinct is to get him away, but she can't. And Slade is holding her helm still.

After a few minutes, he stops. "I found it, My Lord. I found him." For some reason Saber is so weak, she can't even move right now. Her spark chamber shuts quickly, images flash in her optics for a moment. The images are of a Mechling, he's so small, but he's in a femme's arms. A pink one, she seems like a fighter too. And...Sire? What? Her Sire is standing next to the femme smiling.

'Is that...my brother?'

Loud explosions echo down the hallway, next thing Saber knows, the Autobots are pilling in the room. Slade and Shockwave are nowhere to be found, she's in someone's arms right now, what just happened? Saber can't move, she can't do anything but think about what had happened.

"I..have..a...brother?" She mutters, mostly to herself, but it seems whoever was holding her must have heard as well. After a few minutes pass, the cold breeze from Cybertron hits her faceplates. Meaning she is outside. After that, nothing but black.

***

Racer nearly trips when he hears it, "I..have..a...brother?" His helm snaps over towards Bumblebee in surprise and shock.

"D-Did you hear that?" He stutters by accident, not believing what he heard. Bumblebee looks confused but keeps moving.

"Racer, get her back to base!" Wheeljack shouts, the mech nods his helm and quickly runs for the base.

A few hours have passed since Saber has been brought back to the Autobots, she still hasn't woke up, but here Racer is trying to explain what he heard. "And she just said 'I have a brother,' it was like she was confused about it." With that said, Ratchet sighs, standing up and walking to the front where Racer is standing.

"She has a half brother, and he's older than her by a few eons." That shocks everyone.

"Well, where is he doc bot?" Wheeljack asks, getting a glare from the medic because of the name. Ratchet sighs, rolling his optics.

"Before Optimus met Rela Nico, he was with Elita One. As you all know, Elita passed sadly in the first war. But not before she had a sparkling. Elita had a Mechling, he would be older than Saber and Nova by a few eons. But not much. He is still online, just off-planet." Everyone takes a moment to think it over, "After Elita fell, Optimus sent Airen to a distant planet where he is being raised. However, we have lost contact with him in the past few eons. When the second war began, his caretakers went silent."

No one says anything for a while, "And Slade wants to find him so he can kill Optimus' only Mechling." Bumblebee puts together, everyone stays quiet.

"So we find him first," they all look over at Racer. Who is determined. "I had the chance to stop Saber from losing her only sister, but I didn't. I'm not letting the only family she has left to die. Even if it's possible that he isn't even online. I'm willing to take that risk." They all slowly nod, Bumblebee walks forwards.

"I'll go with you," Smokescreen nods his helm and stands up.

"Me too, if there's even a chance he's alive, we gotta try." They already know Saber's coming. There is no way in Primus she's letting them leave without her.

"Then it's settled, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Saber, and I will go and get Airen," Racer says, he really is determined to get Airen back safely. That's saying he's even still alive. "Now we just wait for Saber to wake up."

A few hours pass, Saber opens her optics and looks around. Darkness surrounds her, but a familiar face appears shortly after. Or more like faces. A short groan emits from Saber's derma, she then sits up and glares at the thirteen figures in front of her.

"Did you know?" Her voice is soft and quiet. But also dark and deadly, as if daring them to lie. Prima sighs but looks away from her daring optics. However, that just makes her angrier. Next thing anyone knows, she has her servo wrapped around his neck cables.

"Saber!" Solus shouts, one look from the angry femme and she backs off quickly. Returning her gaze towards Prima, she glares at him.

"You knew I had a brother!!!" They all go quiet immediately, knowing whatever they say will just anger her more than she already is. A servo lands on Saber's shoulder blade, after a few seconds pass, she looks back and see's her Sire staring down at her with sadness in his optics.

"I am sorry, my sparkling." His voice full of sorrow and sadness, reluctantly, Saber releases Prima and he stumbles back towards the other Primes behind him. Without another thought, she runs forwards and covers the small space between the two. She wraps her arms around his waist and holds him tightly. Tears streaming from her optics.

Optimus wraps his servos around her, not wanting to see her upset any longer. "I am truly sorry, Little Saber." Even though Saber is nearly as tall as Optimus, he still calls her Little Saber. "It is true, I sent him away after Elita had been killed. It was to protect him. However, as the war grew on, I lost communications with him. I have not heard from him since. I am truly sorry Little Saber." His voice explains softly, holding the crying femme.

So many thoughts run through Saber's processor, who is her older brother? Where is he? Is he hurt? Is he alive? All these thoughts that roam in Saber's processor begin to make her dizzy.

She stumbles backwards, while she holds her helm lightly. "Saber, bring him home." With that said, everything fades away.

~~~
Sabers optics shoot open, it's as if for the first time in her life, she has one thing that matters more than anything. One thought floods her processor, 'find him'. Her optics glare and she pushes off the cold metal table beneath her.
"I will find you," The door opens and everyone looks over at her with surprise in their optics, "Let's go," Before anyone can say a word, she turns and walks out the door.
~~~

"Saber," Racer says quietly, the dirt under their wheels race quickly across the metal ground. They both are farther ahead of Bumblebee and Smokescreen. "Saber, I know what you're thinking." His voice is so soft and caring, it makes her want to cry sometimes. How could someone be so kind? Especially in a war like this.

"I'm not alone anymore Racer," Saber's voice cracks slightly from trying not to cry, "I'm finally not alone, I'm not giving up that easily. If Slade wants my brother, he's gonna have to go through me first. I'm not losing my family again. I won't." Racer sighs then starts to slow down.

"I know Saber, just be careful. You never know what Slade has planned." With that said, he joins Bumblebee and Smokescreen at the back. His words sink in, and Saber sighs. She mutters something under her breath, then speeds up more.

~~~
A ship comes into view while and they pull to a stop, once they all transform they begin to make their way towards the small ship. Saber is the first to step aboard, they all walk towards the main room on the ship and sit down. "I'm coming bro," she mutters quietly.
"Ready?" Smokescreen asks softly, with a small nod, the ship comes to life and lifts off the ground. They then begin to make their way towards the closest planet to Cybertron.
"Scrap, we got asteroids!" Bumblebee shouts, his controller is shaking. It looks like he is going to lose control shortly.
"Move over!" Saber shouts which surprises them.
"Since when do you know how to fly a ship?!" Smokescreen shouts with shock and worry in his voice, a small smirk forms on Saber's faceplates.
"I don't!" She sits down and takes the controller, then starts giving out commands. From behind, Racer stands there smiling softly.
'Your Sire would be proud,' He quickly gets to work by stabilizing the ship's systems so they don't take too much damage. An asteroid manages to hit the engine, so the back up comes online and barely makes the ship get to the planet.
A loud echoing crash explodes from the ship, "Everyone say I!" Bumblebee shouts while standing up, a few weak I's are spoken. Once the dust clears, a big piece of metal from the crashed ship is pushed away, then Saber stands up.
Her once bright blue and red armor is now all dusty, but her shining blue optics are still as bright as they were when she was a sparkling. "Come on," She pulls Racer up from next to her, Bumblebee pulls Smokescreen up and they share a concerning look.
~With Slade~
Slade chuckles softly, long hallways stretch across the large base, lights still barely flickering. His sword rests gently across his back, while Hunter walks cautiously behind him. The hallways are empty, although many doors litter the small area. Each room is similar, only a room. A few items that are random seem to be in some rooms, showing that someone did rest there at one point.
As Slade walks down the hallway, a loud roar echoes from the main room. A smirk forms on his face as he begins to make his way there.
~With Saber~
Saber jumps to the right just as a long claw swings her way, Bumblebee and Smokescreen together start blasting at the huge beast's sides. Distracting it long enough for Saber and Racer to run at it, Racer slashes at the beast's face, then switches off with Saber, allowing her to stab her blade into its neck. With final blows from the team, the creature falls to the ground.
"Well, I hope there aren't any other's around here." Racer smirks devilishly at Bumblebee.
"Aw, but we haven't had a good fight like this in a while!" He shouts, his blade resting against his shoulder blade in a goofy way. Saber smirks and walks towards the mech, using her blade to trip him as she continues on. "Hey! Saber!!!!" They all start laughing, unbeknownst to the dangerous red-eyed glare from the distance.
"Come on guys, fool around all you want when we get back to Cybertron." The laughing comes to a slow stop and they all face Saber, nodding slightly towards their leader. She smiles softly and continues down another hallway.
"So, what do you think he'll be like?" Racer asks, Bumblebee and Smokescreen are in the back keeping an optic out while Racer dances next to Saber with a lopsided grin on his face.
"Why are you so excited, Racer?" Saber lets out a soft chuckle as they make their way down the darker hallway. Amusement flickers in her optics for a second, then disappear at the sound of a blade scrathing against the metal of the wall. Saber turns around quicker than any bot could process. Her servo planted sternly on the hilt of her blade.
"Whoa, calm down Saber. There's nothing there," True to Racer's word, there is nothing there. Just the dark and gloomy-looking hallway. A servo gently rests on her shoulder pads, the touch relaxing her body.
"Sorry, just paranoid." Racer flashes her one of his infamous smirks, then picks her up and slings her over his shoulder, "Racer?!" He starts walking back towards the other mech. The embarrassed femme smacks the mech over the head in annoyance and shock. "Racer you piece of scrap metal! Put me down!" Bumblebee and Smokescreen laugh along with the soon to be dead mech.
"Aw, come on sweetspark-" He pauses and stops walking once realizing what he said, the guys all look over at Racer and Saber goes quiet.
"Did you just....calm me..." Shock fills the room, Racer being Racer shrugs it off quickly.
"Uh, yeah. So..." A loud bang nearby cuts off any thoughts about what had just occurred. He quickly sets Saber down and pulls out his swords. Saber takes the lead and begins walking down the hallway. After a few seconds of complete silence, they begin to reach the end. A large door sits tall and stern at the end.
The only sound is the occasional louder pede-step. Smokescreen carefully opens the door, while Saber, Bumblebee, and Racer all get ready to fight if needed. The door opens and all three of them enter.
It's empty.
Saber looks around, lowering her blade so the tip of it barely scratches against the smooth metal floor. "I don't understand, this is where he's supposed to be, right?" Racer mutters, the sound from before flashes in Saber's optics.
"Scrap."
A mech drops from the ceiling and knocks Bumblebee to the ground, then another grabs Racer and pins him to the floor. Both of his blades are too far for him to reach, so he is weaponless as well. A frown forms on Sabers derma, the one mech she had been waiting for finally steps out of the shadows.
"So predictable, I knew Racer would come along with, so that would be an easy promise to finish. And Bumblebee and Smokescreen, some of the youngest left of the last war. Not the brightest, just yet." Slade mutters while walking towards Saber, he stops a few feet away. On the ground is what shocked her the most.
A red and dark grey mech who appears to be slightly taller than Saber, his optics are closed so she can't see his optics. A pair of blades rest on his back, the slight baby blue color contrasting against the dark grey of his armor. From the looks of it, his spark is still online, so he's just recharging.
"Airen," She mutters, her optics flicker up at Slade. "I'm not letting you kill him Slade," A devilish smirk forms on Slade's faceplates, the look alone showing just how much he will enjoy killing her brother.
"You know, Saber. It's not just Airen I've come to kill," Racer. He's going to kill Racer. If looks could kill, Saber would have murdered every Decepticon alive.
"Touch either of them, and I will reject you." She growls, her spark nearly explodes at the thought of rejecting him. She can tell he felt the same. He begins to walk towards her, the look in his optics showing nothing of what he is thinking.
"Leave Saber alone, tailpipe!" Racer shouts, anger flooding his optics. Slade ignores him and stops inches from Saber.
"Rejecting me won't do anything for you, Saber. The second you reject me, I will destroy every Autobot base there is in this galaxy and the next one, and the next, and the next. Until I find every Autobot in the universe. Then I'll make you watch as I slay every last one of them." This isn't the Slade she fell in love with, this is the Slade that won't hesitate to kill every Autobot he comes across.
"Do you still doubt me, Saber?" He mutters quietly, his optics void of any thought and emotion. His voice sending chills down her back struts. "I won't hesitate to take everyone from you. I won't hesitate to hurt you. Either you will be mine, or you will watch them all suffer." Saber's optics widen slightly, the tone in his voice convincing her what he means is true.
Realization fills Saber's optics, this isn't the Slade she remembers. The Slade who had once comforted her, who had made her smile, and made her want to do anything he told her. The Slade who showed so much compassion for everything she spoke of, the Slade who could make her melt with just a smile. That Slade...he's gone.
And he's never going to come back...
"What if he isn't here?" Smokescreen asks softly, but quiet enough so she won't hear since she is making her way out. Bumblebee sighs then follows her quietly.
"Let's just pray to Primus he's here
"Let us all pray to Primus he's alright, otherwise, we'll have one angry femme."
