Changing

As carrol hid in her bed under her comforting covers she was enjoying the delicious meat.

As the last of it slid down her throat and hit her stomach she felt satisfied. "Its been so long since dad cooked good meat for me i wish mom was here to enjoy it too." She felt saddened after this and simply tasted the lingering sweetness in her mouth. it tasted like it had been dipped in honey it was so good it made her want more.

Maybe if i sneak i can grabs some more. but alas Richard was standing watch or sitting watch in a chair next to the kennel and she didn't think she could get past him he was much more attentive than her dad was.

"Uhhhh maybe tomorrow" she had finally redesigned herself to sleep as she drifted off she started to remember her mom.

8 hours later she woke up almost crying she had a bad dream. in the dream she was walking down a dark path and her body parts didn't act the way she wanted and she saw a small animal it was mr whiskers or a cat that look similar she looked at it then jumped on it ripping it apart and she was aware of what was happening but couldn't stop.

As she woke up she told herself "it was just a dream" she instinctively when to find her dad because she always went to him when she was having bad dreams

It was now his turn to watch the cat and he had fallen into a sitting sleep if richard had seen this he would have called him an old man after screaming him awake. But richard was asleep and so was jason and the cat." Daddy"...she shook him but he was in a deep sleep "daddy wake up please i had a bad dream."

after shaking him again he snapped to and realized he had fallen asleep. shaking of the disappointment he felt in himself he replyed "hey baby what wrong did you have another bad dream?... don't worry daddy will protect you" sweeping her up in his arms he put her head against his chest. Soon she was asleep again in his arms legs on his lap with her arms around his neck and her head on his shoulder she felt so safe ahe fell asleep almost instantly.

But now she was back on that dark path but there was a light at the end this time. as she got closer she could see her dad holding her and it looked like his veins were popping out and they were blue as she got closer a deep gutteral voice could be heard in her head

"ARE YOU HUNGRY?..."
